Mini Capsules
I got these in a Lyko Lovables, but I have also tested them many times before, as companies like to send these in various contexts. I have quite dry skin, so I actually need two capsules each time for my face and neck to feel satisfied. This makes the product very expensive in the long run - as if it wasn't already from the start! Also; I find it tricky to use when trying to get the product out of the capsule and pinching off the top/making a hole to let the product run out. The capsule is so small, and the top of it even smaller. This becomes cumbersome for aching hands. There is really nothing wrong with the serum's performance, the skin absorbs it and becomes hydrated. However, I don't believe it would contribute to any wrinkle reduction. Vanilla Dreams
I was super happy when I was chosen as a test pilot to try three scents from Kylie Jenner, Caramel Cloud, Sweet Éclair, and this Vanilla Dew. I love scents and it's a big interest of mine. Vanilla-based scents are in right now and have been for a while, and it's nothing I complain about! 😀👍🏻 You can tell that these three scents were released together and go together, as they are quite similar with their vanillas and gourmands at the base. But of course, they also differ. Vanilla Dew smells most of pure vanilla - sweet like that, which I like. Just like cookies! BUT. This happens only after a cloud of alcohol smell has settled. Luckily, the alcohol stench disappears quickly, but this does bother me a little actually. Otherwise, it's a very lovely and subtly warm scent. As with all body mists, the scent is fleeting, and it should be! It shouldn't have the same longevity as an eau de parfum or eau de toilette. The spray cloud when you spray is a perfect mist, good size and not too harsh like it can be with some other sprays. The bottle is nice to look at. Sweet Éclair
It’s been a long time since I had an éclair now, several years actually, but as far as I can remember, it was good and it actually smelled like this place! My Belgian father would have probably loved this scent, rest in peace, dad! In other words, this is indeed a gourmand dream, perfect for the sweet-toothed! I can smell vanilla and chocolate notes. Cream! You just want to eat it up. It’s so warm and cozy. You can tell that these scents from Kylie Jenner that I got to try (Caramel Cloud, Sweet Éclair, and Vanilla Dew) are in a series and "go together", as they remind a lot of each other even though they are different. As with almost all body mists, the scent is fleeting, and it should be - it shouldn’t have the same longevity as an eau de parfum or eau de toilette. You should be able to spray both body and hair at the same time after all. The spray is perfect, it’s a really finely distributed and soft mist and covers a large area. The bottles are nice, large, and generous in relation to the price. You can see how much is left in the bottle - something I really appreciate. It is exactly what it claims to be!
Guess if I was happy when I was chosen to be a test pilot for this mission! I already have Kylie Jenner's perfume Cosmic that I bought for my points here, I just haven't had the time to review it yet. So I am well acquainted with the brand already. Therefore, the expectations were also high for the three scents I was assigned to evaluate; Caramel Cloud, Sweet Éclair, and Vanilla Dew. First up we have Caramel Cloud. I was immediately struck by how practical the bottle is. You can see right away how much product is in it, and when it starts to run out. I really appreciate that! Maybe 🤔 a bit of an unfortunate color choice for the product, as it looks like urine… Luckily 🍀 this caramel dream smells anything but that. This is what I mean with the title that the product is exactly what it claims to be; for it is truly a warm gourmand scent. It really smells like butter caramel! It is a typical mist for me in that it is fleeting, in other words: it obviously doesn't have the same longevity as an eau de parfum or eau de toilette, and it shouldn't either! You can also tell by the very functional and well-measured spray when you spritz - this is made to be sprayed all over your body and envelop you in the sugary caramel cloud. The price of the product is reasonable, I could definitely see myself buying the item again. Annoying exfoliating slime
I got this in a Lyko Lovables and have now used it for a while. Unfortunately, I have to admit that it’s not really for me, simply because I don’t like the feeling it gives me on my skin when I apply it. Thought of as a serum, it becomes annoying and slimy... It ends up where it shouldn’t be on my face when I massage it in and then move my hand to the next spot. As an exfoliation, it feels like everything is rolling off my skin. Sometimes this even happens when you didn’t intend to exfoliate but just want to apply your cream right after the serum, which feels strange and wrong on the skin - you just want to wash it all off because you feel so dirty. Results then? Well... Neither good nor bad really. It’s okay, neither more nor less. Both in terms of hydration and glow. Balm was the word - super fatty salve
Got this in a Lyko Lovables box! This is an incredibly fatty cream/salve, which is almost a bit hard to spread due to its firm consistency! For really and extremely dry skin. I think it might be too fatty for most to use on the face, and it’s not nice to spread there, as it becomes "stiff". I have dry skin myself, and it’s on the verge of being too much even for me. I think it suits more as a night cream than a day cream if you want to use it to moisturize the face. This is an excellent product for dry elbows, and I have a sore/scar on my foot that itches, and even there the cream is an excellent moisturizer! Superserum
This serum is fantastic! It hydrates my skin super well, I can really feel the difference. My skin has rarely been this nice. The consistency is described here as a gel-serum, and maybe that's why it works for me (I usually don't like oils). The product is fragrance-free. A lovely ritual of cherry blossom
Lovely Rituals! I am a very experienced user of Rituals products, so when I got this Lyko influencer testing assignment, I was more than satisfied. Rituals as a brand flirts a lot with Eastern philosophy, 🧘 being here and now, taking care of your inner self just as much as your outer self. The products from this brand are always very strongly scented, which I like, even though I am actually scent-sensitive; for their scents are ♥️🌟 This one, however, is not my favorite from their series, although it is also completely wonderful. My favorites are Hammam and Ayurveda, the blue and red series. Unlike what the instructions say here on the site, I always exfoliate first, then wash off with the shower foam. Then I apply the lotion after the shower. The scrub is a mild sugar scrub that suits all skin types. The jar can leak the oil that is inside if you, for example, travel with it, so store it in a plastic bag if you are on the go - trust me, I know from experience! The shower foam is a sensation against the skin, so soft and lovely. It creates a super lovely foam when it comes into contact with water. Rituals was the first with these shower foams, that’s what made them famous, and you can really understand why. The cream is rich and lovely on the skin. It’s easy to take a little too much… The consistency is perfect. Not too thick and not too runny, just how I want a lotion. Unergonomic
The brush itself works okay with its spikes, but the handle is not very ergonomic - it's too short and not thick enough, you get a really poor grip when brushing, I think. For me, having painful hands, brushing becomes more difficult than it needs to be. It almost feels like it's made for children's hands. Back to the spikes. They are very narrow and flimsy. They don't feel super durable. We'll see if they hold up. I've had many Tangle Teezers before this one, and I've liked all of them.
