Smells good and does what it’s supposed to!
This shampoo helped me get all the silicone out of my hair because I had used a silicone-based shampoo before I started using Kevin Murphy’s shampoo from the Rinse Me series. Silicone prevents the hair strand from absorbing moisture. (There’s also a review about how I experienced their shampoo and conditioner.) The hair can feel a bit tangled after using this product, but after regular shampooing and conditioning, the hair is like new again! A great product that I will continue to use about once a week to keep my hair fresh. A plus is also that it has a wonderful subtle scent. The downside, however, is the packaging. I have used this conditioner together with their shampoo in the same series. It makes the hair incredibly soft and moisturized without the hair feeling heavy or getting dirty faster. Made my hair so soft and fresh
Since I had previously used a silicone-based shampoo, I had to give this shampoo some time before all the silicone was washed out of my hair, which made my hair very rough and felt like straw at first, but when I combined this shampoo with their detox shampoo, the process went faster, so after a few washes my hair became soft and fresh again after using it, and now it’s perfect for my dry and frizzy hair without feeling dirty faster. I also notice that my hair gets more volume. I combine this shampoo with the conditioner from the same series 👌🏻 However, the shampoo has a very special and intense scent. It’s said to smell like bergamot (citrus) combined with exotic fruit extracts (including kakadu plum). But I also think the scent smells a bit spicy and not at all like pure citrus. It definitely doesn’t smell like the classic shampoos but has a heavier and spicier scent that lingers in the hair like a perfume. So if you have trouble with stronger scents, this is not for you. Personally, I can’t quite decide what I think about the scent. Whether I like it or not, but I like it more and more the longer I use the shampoo. My husband asked if I bought a new perfume 😅 The downside is the packaging though. Hydrate-Me Wash
I think Kevin Murphy Hydrate-Me Wash is a good shampoo that works well if your hair needs extra moisture. It has a creamy texture that is pleasant to use, and it leaves the hair soft and well hydrated. The only thing I'm not so fond of is the scent. I find it smells a bit strange and not quite to my taste. Additionally, I feel it doesn't cleanse the hair as well as a more purifying shampoo, so I prefer to use it together with a shampoo that focuses more on cleansing. All in all, this is a good moisturizing shampoo that makes the hair soft and hydrated, especially when combined with a shampoo that provides a deeper cleanse. Maxi wash detox shampoo
I think Kevin Murphy Maxi Wash Detox Shampoo is a very good cleansing shampoo. It cleans the hair really well, and after washing, the scalp and hair feel very clean and fresh. It’s nice to use occasionally when the hair needs a proper detox and to remove product buildup. The only thing I’m not so fond of is the scent. It’s a bit unusual and didn’t quite appeal to me. Fortunately, it doesn’t affect how well the shampoo works. Kevin Murphy Hydrate-Me rinse
I have been using Kevin Murphy Hydrate-Me Rinse for a while now, and I really like it. The first thing I noticed was that the consistency isn’t as thick as many other conditioners, which I actually think is a big plus. It’s very easy to distribute in the hair, and it doesn’t feel like you have to use a lot of product. After each wash, my hair feels soft, and I notice that especially the ends get well hydrated. The hair looks healthier and feels much easier to comb through. The only downside for me is the scent. It’s quite intense, and I think it can get a bit overwhelming. Luckily, it’s something I can live with because the conditioner itself works so well. Thank you Lyko for the incredible chance to use the Kevin Murphy Hydrate me series and detox wash. 💙 I actually used these a few years ago on recommendation from my hairdresser, but back then it didn’t do much for my hair, so I thought it was a bit of unnecessary money. Since then, I’ve understood that sometimes it’s not the product that’s wrong, but that your hair simply didn’t need it at that time. Now my hair is drier and bleached, and I need a lot of moisture. Also detox because I use a lot of silver products and other hair care products that easily cause some buildup. As my hair is now, I LOVE the hydrate series. Detox feels like it almost empties the hair of everything – it feels so clean 😅, and after that it’s incredibly important to follow up with moisture. Then hydrate me wash and rinse fit perfectly. My hair drinks it all up without feeling heavy. I have curly hair that I usually round blow-dry after showering and then sleep with it tied up to keep the styling until the next wash. It is also layered to create more volume and make it easier for my curls when I finally let them down, which however can make it feel like the split ends are literally everywhere💆🏻♀️ Kevin Murphy makes many incredible hair products and these are no exception. Their detox shampoo is, in my opinion, the best on the market, something I always come back to after trying other variants. The first time I used it, I was genuinely shocked at how nice it looked after drying, when it felt so rough (and almost scary) in the shower! The Hydrate Me series was new to me though, and I mostly have positive feelings about them! My hair became very soft, split ends felt softer and fewer, without weighing it down much at all! But there is one downside I don’t know if I can get over: the scent. Really love Kevin Murphy's hair products. Got their detox shampoo + Hydrate Me (Shampoo & Conditioner) and am so incredibly satisfied 🙋♀️💜 This detox cleans the hair DEEPLY and removes all discolorations and product residues. Once I got greenish tones in my hair because we highlighted the hair with yellow pigments 💛 on a toner that shifted to blue 💙 Nothing worked to remove the green discoloration – except Kevin Murphy’s 'Detox Shampoo'. I once got the tip not to rinse out all the conditioner, that way you get better hydration and also a little product feel in the hair. I usually use that method when I use Kevin Murphy. I've tried these three products now for two weeks and have many positive things to say about them. If you've never tried the two shampoos before, you should be aware that the hair becomes very dry and tangled right after, but if you use shampoo and conditioner with a lot of moisture like these products after the two shampoos, your hair will feel absolutely amazing! My hair is what hairdressers call "not Nordic hair," and for the first time in a long time, I haven't had much frizz in my hair! But this one smells fresher, maybe more towards herbs. The same goes for the shampoo and conditioner, but this is probably a matter of getting used to. Since the detox shampoo strips the hair of absolutely all oil, dandruff, and product buildup, it will be very dry and tired afterwards. Then you need really good moisture and nourishment for the hair, which I feel the shampoo and conditioner definitely provide in this set!
