A must in the shower!
I have used this detox shampoo 1 time a week for 4 weeks and I am SOLD! My hair is naturally curly, dry, and frizzy and is in great need of a haircut. I dye my hair brown every 3rd-4th week (but only the roots regularly and I dye the lengths less often). I generally have no issues with my scalp, but it is still a bit dry and I can sometimes feel it itching. Especially during weather changes when it gets cold, which has exactly happened while I have been testing this. This is a detoxifying shampoo that cleanses deeply without feeling dry. I have previously used Kevin Murphy's detox shampoo, which completely dries out the hair before you put in, for example, a mask or conditioner, this one does not do that but feels more like a regular shampoo when you use it. I always do two applications when I use this and let it sit for a little while each time before I rinse it out, so it gets to set a bit! PRODUCT: 4/5 I was very surprised when black shampoo came out from this (in my opinion) very ugly and boring packaging! I am not a big fan of this type of packaging where you flip up the lid, hence one point less. The product is very economical, so you don't need much and it distributes easily in the hair. I find it lovely to work with in the scalp and it also lathers well, especially with 2 applications. SCENT: 5/5 It actually doesn't smell much, but has a faint lovely scent that feels clean. So if you are looking for something that smells strong and intense, this is not the product for you. I think it is optimal for a detox shampoo with a light scent, then you know that the focus is right! RESULT: ▪️ What I want to highlight the most is that my hair is significantly cleaner, I wash my hair every 3 days and since I started with this, my hair is fresh until the next wash! I, who have a lot of volume, also maintain the volume every day! ▪️ The scalp feels so much more moisturized and balanced! ▪️ No color loss on my colored hair, this is incredibly important for me! ▪️ Moisture, as I mentioned above, this detox shampoo does not dry out the hair but on the contrary, it feels like it helps other products to settle better in the hair! Deep cleansing, but nourishing!
I had to test this out since I've heard a lot of good things about it! And it was definitely worth the hype, it cleanses the hair thoroughly without turning it into a tangled mess (which some deep cleansing shampoos can do to my hair), and the hair also felt cared for and airy after drying (I also used the k18 mask after the shampoo). The best part is that it also works for colored hair! I think I might have tested all the cleansing shampoos on the market worth testing, and none compare to this one. It costs a bit, but is very economical in use. I usually use this for 2 rounds when I first use it, but you only need a pea-sized amount to cover the entire scalp (avoiding the lengths). It smells very clean and neutral, if you ask me. Some cleansing shampoos can make the hair very difficult to work with (including Kevin Murphy's), and you often have to finish with another shampoo, but that's really not necessary with this one. The hair is still manageable and not dry. I use the product about once a week in two rounds so it lathers properly. In addition to cleansing the scalp of grime and dirt, it also neutralizes the color tones in my hair, which is highlighted and bleached blonde. In combination with a good silver shampoo every now and then, the color becomes very even and cool. Highly recommended, will buy again and again. Cleansing and Caring!
I've tried different detox shampoos and this one makes my hair feel clean without leaving it stiff or dry afterwards. Amazing product for sensitive scalp
I have been using this shampoo about 2 times a week for 6 months now. About an hour before washing, I prepare a treatment with batana oil (pure 100% from Honduras), jojoba oil, and baby oil that I massage into all my hair and let it sit. When I then rinse out the shampoo, I apply Waterclouds repair hairmask mainly in the lengths, but also a little bit in the scalp and then rinse out. I use conditioner in the lengths every other wash. When my hair is dry, I massage in Kerastase Magic 8h night serum and then I massage the serum in again before the next hair wash. I notice that my hair has become less oily between washes and the itchiness in my scalp is gone! I used Nioxin series 1 (shampoo & conditioner) for a long time but eventually felt that they dried out my scalp, however, I do like Nioxin's treatment products like Hair growth, it's superb! I have curly hair, between 3c and 4a Scandinavian thin hair. This detox shampoo in combination with k18 leave-in has made my hair so much healthier! The hair becomes so shiny, and the curls hold better! And if the hair loses its curl pattern after a few days, it's so easy to just spray a little water and detangle with my fingers. I find that I don't need to throw in more curling cream and gel in the same way to refresh my hair, but that washing day styling is more than enough (which happens about once a week). The only downside is that I find the curls become a little stretched out, but for me, definition is more important than how tight they are! I myself have had a lot of problems with my hair getting greasy after a day, I’ve tried sooooo many different shampoos but nothing seemed to work until I bought this! K18 deep cleansing shampoo has really helped with the cleansing, it really gets rid of all the dirt and grease which means my hair can last up to 3 days without getting as greasy as it did before. 😍 Tip! You who have problems with greasy hair, try using this shampoo and shampoo twice, then blow-dry your hair when it’s about 60% dry. The next day, put in dry shampoo in the evening and don’t rub it in, and sleep with it. You will wake up with that freshly washed feeling in your hair, and it even lasts another one/two days!
