Moisture 😍
As a #lykoinflutester, I got to try 4 products from the line. Matrix was a new brand for me, so it has really been an exciting task 😍 My colored (and previously bleached) hair is dry and needs a lot of moisture, and this has been fantastic for me. At first, I found the serum to be very thin and used way too much product, and my hair got a bit greasy... but quite quickly I learned to dose correctly on damp hair and add a little to the ends after a couple of days since washing. The scent is a big plus. So sweet and fresh at the same time. Really lovely 😍 The bottle with the dropper makes it easy to dose despite the runny consistency. #matrix #lykoinflutester4829 views- The comment was made 11 monthsI absolutely think you should try it 😍 I completely love how soft and manageable my damaged hair has become1 likes

Maybe better for untreated hair than mine!
I have tested this oil serum from Matrix that is supposed to restore dry hair. I am familiar with Matrix from before and have also tried several products from Matrix. I am a very experienced user of both serums and hair oils as I have been using such products for at least 25 years, if not even longer. This oil serum comes in a bottle with a dropper that works well, and it smells like marzipan, a nice scent! It is very fluid and thin in consistency compared to other hair oils and serums. My hair is long and consists of many fine strands and has bleached highlights, so it needs moisture and really good hair care. I am disappointed when I test this oil serum because it does not work at all as promised for me. I have used it on both wet and dry hair and do not understand how it can be in the same line as a really good shampoo and conditioner. I am disappointed, but when my friend with dark and colored hair tries the oil serum, her hair becomes more moisturized and nice. On my hair, it does not provide a good moisturizing effect and I will not buy it again. It seems to be better on hair without bleached highlights than on my hair. In the picture, I have dried my hair with a hairdryer and used the serum on both dry and wet hair. #LYKOINFLUTESTER #MATRIX - The post was made 2 daysRating: 3 out of 5
Have tried better
This product is good but not good enough to fix my very dry hair. I have tried better serums that give shinier and healthier hair than this. It does make a difference, and I can imagine it being super good for slightly dry hair. I have tried using it in both dry hair and in wet hair before blow-drying. I would have liked to give it 3.5 points, but it’s not possible to give half. The bottle is nice, love the color! The scent is magical! It reminds me of something, but I unfortunately can’t figure out what… I think of summer and vacation and always smell it directly from the bottle when I open it because it smells so good. Matrix food for soft hair.
*I am participating in a test panel and have received a free test product* I have now tested this product for two weeks. I have used it after hair growth and on towel-dried hair that I then blow-dried. I have dry, untreated hair that hasn't been cut at the salon for over 6 months. Also, I am pregnant with lots of hormones affecting me. Therefore, I thought this was a super fun product test. My positive experiences are as follows: The hair is not weighed down by the oil. The hair feels smooth and soft. The hair has become noticeably softer. The hair stays fresh longer. The oil is not sticky and smells good. My negative experiences. Maybe the hair could have been even more moisturized. That the effect should last even longer. But this is of course individual. I have not used Matrix shampoo and conditioner, which would probably have a positive effect. - The post was made 3 daysRating: 3 out of 5
No greater effect
Fairly neutral scent. Easy to get a suitable amount of oil to massage into the hair. I have untreated long hair that is quite dry due to being a swimmer and exposing my hair to chlorinated water and many washes a week. I don't notice any significant change in my hair after starting to use this serum. The hair does not get greasy at all, which I find my hair could get from other hair oils, but I also don't feel that it gives the hair much moisture or softens it. Maybe I need to use it for a longer time and/or in combination with shampoo and conditioner... Matrix hair oil
What I like about it is that it smells good, lasts a very long time, and makes the hair incredibly soft and smooth. I have used it on both dry and wet hair and think it works as it should without leaving the hair greasy like it can with other oils. What I don't like about it is the bottle and the dropper since the hole is too big and the dropper doesn't work as it should, so it drips a little too much. Satisfied.
I prefer to apply it to dry hair before styling with heat tools, for example when curling the hair. Then it felt like the oil was "activated" with the help of the heat and gave lots of shine, softer hair, and protection against the heat! The hair also didn’t feel greasy from it, which is positive, as other products can lay like a "layer" on the hair. A natural and not too strong scent made the hair smell good too! However, when applied only to wet hair that has air-dried, it didn’t give the same shine. Instead, it felt more like soft and porous hair. Which made it easier to comb the hair, which is lovely! In summary, it works perfectly as a styling product as it gives both shine and soft hair while protecting the hair! Or as an everyday oil in wet hair that is allowed to dry, as it gives the feeling of soft and light hair. Awesome
I am very satisfied with the result. The oil has a soft and pleasant consistency that makes it easy to use in cooking. It has a neutral taste that doesn't overpower other flavors, making it perfect for frying, salads, and baking. I also appreciate that it doesn't become heavy or greasy in food, but gives a nice, light texture. The packaging is practical and easy to pour without spilling.151 views - The post was made 1 weekRating: 5 out of 5
Satisfied with the serum!
In collaboration with Smartson, I have been tasked with testing this fantastic Leave-in treatment. I have really enjoyed using the Food For Soft Multi-Use Hair Oil Serum! It feels lovely to apply, absorbs quickly, and leaves no sticky feeling on my hands. The scent is mild and fresh – something I truly appreciate. I have tested using it both on wet hair that has air-dried and when I have blow-dried – the result is nice either way, but best with the blow-dryer. My dark, long hair gets a nice shine and gloss, and after a few uses, it looks both healthier and more well-groomed. I will definitely buy this again and continue to use it as part of my hair care routine!14 views - The post was made 1 weekRating: 5 out of 5
Moisture, Moisture, Moisture 💦
Food For Soft Multi-Use Hair Oil Serum from Matrix - In collaboration with Smartson, I have been tasked with testing this fantastic Leave-in treatment. I have never tried the brand before but have been very curious 😍 Such a pretty bottle! I have been using this for about 2 weeks now. A really great serum!💧 - Leaves hair moisturized for 72 hours. - Provides up to 7 x more moisture. - Enriched with avocado oil. 🥑 I apply a few drops to wet or dry hair. Distribute through the lengths. Used as needed. The dropper makes it easy to apply just the right amount. Absorbs quickly. Hair doesn’t feel oily. Doesn’t weigh down. Reduces frizz. Smells heavenly. Gives hair a sweet & fresh scent. Seals in moisture. Lightweight consistency. Restores dry hair, which is exactly what my newly colored, extra dry hair needs. Contains heat protection (230°). Economical product. Affordable. Gives a silky smooth, easy-to-manage & shiny result. I’m really looking forward to using this hair oil more, wonderful product. Matrix food for soft :)
I am participating in a test panel and have received a free test product. I have been testing the Matrix hair oil serum for a while and can highly recommend it if you, like me, have hair that easily becomes frizzy, dull, and has dry ends. This lovely and fragrant oil serum provides instant shine, softness, and protection for the ends while removing frizz without weighing it down. The bottle is large, and it only takes a few drops for the entire hair. The bottle also feels luxurious in glass with a dropper. Easy to use every day, and the product seems economical. I give the product 5 stars out of 5 and will buy it when my current product runs out. The price is relatively reasonable.118 views - The post was made 1 weekRating: 5 out of 5
Fantastic for dry/frizzy and bleached hair!
My new favorite! I’m participating in a test panel and received a free test product. I got to test this product through Smartson and I’m impressed! Previously, I mainly used argan oil and coconut oil as moisture for my bleached, frizzy, naturally curly, and damaged hair, but I’m positively surprised by this one that has avocado oil. I haven’t explored other oils for some reason and now feel that I’ve found a clear winner; when this bottle is empty, I will continue to buy it! This is the first time I’m testing something from the Matrix brand as well, and when I shop for hair care next time, I will also try their shampoo/conditioner. The consistency of the serum is more like a gel rather than oil, and the bottle comes with a dropper, which I love! Similar to other serums/oils I’ve tested, they often only had a small opening that you had to pour from, which created spills, and you ended up with oil all over the bottle, wasting a lot of the product. But with this one, it’s easy to get a few drops to distribute in your freshly washed hair. I’ve distributed a few drops of the product after shampoo/conditioner, and after the hair has dried a bit so it’s not dripping wet. The price is a bit high, but if you have dry/bleached and frizzy hair like I do, it feels like it’s still an okay price since you can really feel that the product makes a difference! I find that my hair becomes softer, easier to brush/comb through, and shines a bit more after testing this product for a week. At first, I used a bit too much product, and if I had done that with argan oil for example, my hair would have become greasy, but this product doesn’t weigh the hair down and doesn’t make it greasy either. The product also has a nice scent! The downside of the product, however, is that the scent might be an issue, as there are definitely those who do not appreciate perfume in hair serums at all, do not like the scent even though they like what the product does, are allergic, and/or work in healthcare where you cannot wear unnecessary scents because patients can be sensitive. In summary: I’m really glad I got to try it, and I recommend others to try it - especially if you have dry and frizzy hair! :))118 views
