Was so lucky to test this as a Lyko Influtester, and now I can say Iâm super satisfied. Itâs in beautiful baby pink, fave colorđ©· Easy to handle, takes up little space so itâs perfect to take on trips. It really smooths out the hair, I have so much frizz and it took it all away in such a short time. (Now I can finally throw away my old oneđ) The only downside is that I found it hard to curl with it, as it was so hot to hold at the tip. So I will only use it as a straightener. But itâs amazing for that!đ„łđđŒ (It quickly got rid of the two cowlicks I struggle with). Pleasantly surprised!
Received this flat iron #bylyko as #lykoinflutester, and at first glance, I was happy with the nice packaging it came in and the lovely pink color. My first test was straightening my hair, and I liked the result and how easy it was. It didnât get stuck in hair strands when I took a larger section of hair, which is a big plus. Easy to start and adjust the heat. It also heated up quickly, which is appreciated, plus a long cord. Then I tried curling my hair (which I always do with a flat iron), and it made really nice curls. A very nice flat iron that has a long cord so you can use it almost anywhere. You can choose the temperature you want and the flat iron heats up very quickly, which is great. It is light and doesnât snag much. In the pictures, I show my hair in three steps: first completely natural, then straightened on one side and curled on the other. I think it gives a good picture of what the flat iron can actually do! âš đââïž My hair I have quite thick and uncolored hair, so I need tools that can handle my hair without me having to spend too much time styling. đ„ First impression The first thing I thought when I got this flat iron was how beautiful it is! đ The light pink color feels both sleek and a bit luxurious. It looks much more expensive than it actually is. âš Straightening I used the flat iron to straighten one side of my hair, and this is really where it performs best. The hair became smooth, shiny, and looked much more well-groomed. It glides easily through the hair, and I didnât have to go over the same section many times. Since the flat iron has fairly straight edges, I think itâs especially good for straightening. The result was really nice and held up well throughout the day. âš đ Curls On the other side of my hair, I tried making curls. It actually worked very well, and the curls turned out nice, but I noticed that the flat iron is primarily designed for straightening hair. Since the edges arenât rounded, it requires a bit more technique compared to flat irons designed for curls. That said, itâs definitely a tool that can handle both, which I appreciate. đ đ Details that make a difference A big plus is the long cord! đ It makes styling much easier and gives more freedom of movement. I also appreciate that itâs easy to see when the flat iron has reached the right temperature. Perfect for stressful mornings when you want to get started right away. đĄïž Perfect together with heat protection For this, I of course used Lykoâs Heat Protection, and together it was a really good combination. The hair felt soft, shiny, and well protected during styling. âš đ° Value for money For this price, I think you get a lot for your money. I've now been lucky enough to try Kyko's own straightener for a few weeks! I have to say I'm positively surprised! It has good heat in the iron and works perfectly both for straightening and curling hair! It's easy to hold, which makes it "effortless" to straighten/curl hair all at once! The only downside is that I have quite thick hair and had to section my hair into thin parts at a time, so I prefer a bigger straightener. Pretty good
Got to test this straightener, came in a very cute color and in a nice box! The quality seems to be there, solid straightener to use for a pretty reasonable price. I have straight hair so I used it to curl my hair and for me it was a bit difficult, especially since I usually have it at around 180 degrees and the result was not optimal for me. Very good straightener
Unfortunately, I have been away so havenât had much chance to test it, but in my opinion, there isnât sooo much to test with a straightener đ€·ââïž I have quite straight hair myself so not much to show in pictures, and I donât usually do curls and such, so I canât say much about that..... but I have quite coarse/thick hair so my straightener has to be able to straighten hair without too high heat.... my max is 180 degreesâïž and compared to my other straighteners this one is just as goodđ€ only that it has a much nicer priceđ€©âïž Nice light pink metallic color..... not my favorite color...... so this one will be inherited by my daughterâșïž love that it has a long cord that rotates 360, easy to handle and easy to understand. A good flat iron at a lower price?
My first impression is that the flat iron is in a super nice color that I love đŹ It is also light, which I think is practical if you want to bring it on a trip. My hair consists of a mix of coarse and fine strands with some natural waves, and it is usually not difficult to straighten đ©· But at 170â180 degrees, which I prefer to use to protect my hair as much as possible, it unfortunately didnât work very well. I had to go over the same sections several times to get the hair somewhat straight. At 210â220 degrees, however, it performs very well, and the result was flawless! It still detracts a lot that it needs such high heat to give good results đ„ Other flat irons Iâve used handle my hair fine at around 180 degrees. Something else worth noting is that after just a few uses, I noticed the pink coating on the plates starting to flake a bit, which gives a somewhat cheaper quality impression. â Light and comfortable to use â Gives a smooth and good result â Nice price â Needs high heat to get results â No travel case/storage bag included â not a minus for me, but maybe something to consider. Conclusion: A light and user-friendly flat iron that delivers good results, but only when the temperature is turned quite high. Incredibly good for this price!
First of all, the price of this straightener is really good â a budget-friendly alternative compared to, for example, GHD, which I would usually use. The straightener heats up very quickly. The first time I used it, I actually didnât notice it had temperature control, and then I didnât feel it did much for my hair. But when I later turned the temperature up to max, it worked perfectly and straightened my quite thick and wavy hair effectively and quickly. The only downside for me is that itâs not as good at making curls or waves as, for example, GHD. Thatâs why Iâm deducting one star đ For pure hair straightening, however, this works very well. I also have to point out that the design is beautiful. Really good budget flat iron!
This incredibly cute flat iron has been tested the past few weeks and I am very fond of it! The nice pink color, the long cord, the fast heating, and the great result for (in my eyes) a really cheap price is so good! I usually use GHDâs flat iron and of course itâs tough to compare with that, BUT for the price difference it still holds up really well! And I still have almost a lionâs mane when I let my hair air dry and it handles my hair brilliantly, just with a bit more patience! If you manage to get through the whole video, youâll see before, flat ironed, a little giggle, and then curled hair with the final result called VOLUME! đž It has many heat settings so you can get what you want, I always want it on max! đž Itâs light and comfortable to hold! đž Itâs really good for curling hair, itâs incredibly handy and the curls really turn out so nice! đž Long cord and fast heating! However, I donât think itâs as sharp when I just want to straighten my hair, of course a matter of getting used to but the plates are relatively small and I feel like I need to repeat 2-3 times to get it completely straight. Big difference when I curled my hair because then it was đđœ right away! This one will live in my gym/work bag, perfect to bring on the go since it has a good size, weighs little, and above all cheers up with its lovely color!
