At least as good as the more expensive models
I have had the chance to test this flat iron from #LYKOINFLUTESTER as a #BYLYKO. 💇♀️✨ My first impression was that it feels light and easy to use. It heats up very quickly, which I really appreciate when you're short on time in the morning. It's great not having to wait and being able to start styling your hair almost immediately. I have mainly used the flat iron to straighten my hair, and it glides easily through the hair without snagging or pulling. The result is smooth and nice, and I think it performs at least as well as several significantly more expensive flat irons I've tried. The design is also really nice. I like the pink color and the matching cord, which makes it feel a bit more fun than many other styling tools. It's a small detail, but it contributes to a well-thought-out overall impression. 🎀🩷 Even though the flat iron isn't equipped with advanced features, I don't feel like anything is missing. Broken flat iron
Hi! My daughter had a flat iron that broke. (She doesn’t have a receipt since she got it as a gift, so she asked me to check if I could find the problem) The most likely issue is something wrong with the 360-degree cord connection, so I removed it. However, the colors on the wires are different, so I’m wondering if you can tell me which cables should be connected. Good budget option
For the price, it’s a really good flat iron! As a former hairstylist, there are a few things I look for when buying a flat iron: ☀️ Is there heat control? ☀️ Can you turn it on/off without unplugging it? ☀️ Does it turn off automatically after a certain period of inactivity? ☀️ Can you use it without accidentally pressing any buttons (e.g., the power or heat control)? ☀️ Are the plates ceramic? ☀️ Does it close tightly when you press it together, or is there a gap? (To avoid it catching, pulling hair, or straightening unevenly). ☀️ Is the cord good quality to prevent tangling or knots, and is it long enough? ☀️ Is it easy to press together with one hand, or do you need two? ☀️ Does the plastic around the heating plates get super hot, or does it stay relatively cool? (So you don’t risk burning yourself). ☀️ Is it easy to use? ☀️ Does it heat up quickly? ☀️ Is the design suitable for both curling and straightening? As you can see, I have high standards and expectations for a flat iron. I’ve owned many over the years, and this one ranks in my top 3! At the very top is still GHD, although they tend to have an annoying quick shut-off feature that means you have to restart it very often. Those flat irons are usually around 2,000 SEK. I don’t experience this problem with Lyko’s own super nice pink flat iron! However, the reason it only gets 4/5 stars is the plates themselves don’t close tightly. Unfortunately, the plates aren’t completely straight, which causes a gap in the middle of the flat iron, which unfortunately pulls hair and leaves the middle section a bit wavy. This means you have to go over the same section multiple times, which isn’t ideal because then the heat protection stops working! If you work with very narrow and thin sections at lower heat, you can get a shiny and ultra-smooth result, but you have to be careful so the hair doesn’t get caught or pulled anyway. Everything else is 5/5, but as I said, I’m a bit picky. For the price, it’s an excellent product, but it feels like Lyko could be the first to release a budget flat iron that doesn’t have gaps! Lovely flat iron!
I have tested the Smooth Operator flat iron from #bylyko and I am simply super satisfied! It comes in exclusive packaging, so it’s great as a gift for yourself or others💕 The flat iron has a function that lets you set the desired temperature, an on/off button that makes it easy to operate! I tried all the different temperatures and because I have thick hair, I found that it straightens most effectively at the highest temperature😊 Otherwise, it has good quality, it’s comfortable to hold and easy to use. Exceeded my expectations! 💜
I was so lucky to get to test this straightener through Lyko’s influencer test program, and I have to admit I was really positively surprised! I’ve been using an older GHD straightener for several years, so I was a bit curious if this one could measure up. To my surprise, I actually liked this one even better! I tested it at 170 °C, 200 °C, and 220 °C to find out what worked best on my hair. For me, 200 °C was the clear winner – my hair became smooth, soft, and stayed nice without me feeling the need to go over the same sections multiple times. The whole hair was straightened in about 10 minutes, which I think is very fast! One of the things I liked best was how easy it was to work with. It glides nicely through the hair without snagging, and the result was really smooth and shiny. That made the whole process both quick and easy. I also have to mention the design! I think it looks incredibly nice, and the color makes it stand out a bit from many other straighteners. It simply feels a bit extra luxurious + pink is my favorite color, so maybe it was even easier for me to fall in love with both the color and the design. This one has actually earned a permanent spot in my bathroom drawer and will replace my old GHD. Pleasantly surprised!
Received this flat iron #bylyko as #lykoinflutester, and at first glance, I was happy with the nice packaging it came in and the lovely pink color. My first test was straightening my hair, and I liked the result and how easy it was. It didn’t get stuck in hair strands when I took a larger section of hair, which is a big plus. Easy to start and adjust the heat. It also heated up quickly, which is appreciated, plus a long cord. Then I tried curling my hair (which I always do with a flat iron), and it made really nice curls. 💗 Affordable flat iron that does more than just straighten hair 💗
In the pictures, I show my hair in three steps: first completely natural, then straightened on one side and curled on the other. I think it gives a good picture of what the flat iron can actually do! ✨ 💁♀️ My hair I have quite thick and uncolored hair, so I need tools that can handle my hair without me having to spend too much time styling. 🔥 First impression The first thing I thought when I got this flat iron was how beautiful it is! 💕 The light pink color feels both sleek and a bit luxurious. It looks much more expensive than it actually is. ✨ Straightening I used the flat iron to straighten one side of my hair, and this is really where it performs best. The hair became smooth, shiny, and looked much more well-groomed. It glides easily through the hair, and I didn’t have to go over the same section many times. Since the flat iron has fairly straight edges, I think it’s especially good for straightening. The result was really nice and held up well throughout the day. ✨ 🌀 Curls On the other side of my hair, I tried making curls. It actually worked very well, and the curls turned out nice, but I noticed that the flat iron is primarily designed for straightening hair. Since the edges aren’t rounded, it requires a bit more technique compared to flat irons designed for curls. That said, it’s definitely a tool that can handle both, which I appreciate. 💕 🔌 Details that make a difference A big plus is the long cord! 🙌 It makes styling much easier and gives more freedom of movement. I also appreciate that it’s easy to see when the flat iron has reached the right temperature. Perfect for stressful mornings when you want to get started right away. 🌡️ Perfect together with heat protection For this, I of course used Lyko’s Heat Protection, and together it was a really good combination. The hair felt soft, shiny, and well protected during styling. ✨ 💰 Value for money For this price, I think you get a lot for your money. Was so lucky to test this as a Lyko Influtester, and now I can say I’m super satisfied. It’s in beautiful baby pink, fave color🩷 Easy to handle, takes up little space so it’s perfect to take on trips. It really smooths out the hair, I have so much frizz and it took it all away in such a short time. (Now I can finally throw away my old one😂) The only downside is that I found it hard to curl with it, as it was so hot to hold at the tip. So I will only use it as a straightener. But it’s amazing for that!🥳🙌🏼 (It quickly got rid of the two cowlicks I struggle with). I've now been lucky enough to try Kyko's own straightener for a few weeks! I have to say I'm positively surprised! It has good heat in the iron and works perfectly both for straightening and curling hair! It's easy to hold, which makes it "effortless" to straighten/curl hair all at once! The only downside is that I have quite thick hair and had to section my hair into thin parts at a time, so I prefer a bigger straightener.
