  Great product! I've started using pre-shampoo bond repair products like this or Olaplex No. 3 after cleansing my hair with shampoo for better effect on clean hair. I definitely wouldn't say this is a time-consuming measure to get or maintain healthy hair. If you wash your hair every day, maybe, but otherwise no. I have no problem letting this sit in my hair for 5 minutes. Time to do other things like using body scrub for example.

  Loreal Paris Elvital Bond Repair Rescue Pre-Shampoo 200 ml

  I’ve heard that pre-shampoo should only be used on really damaged hair, otherwise you might lose hair instead, but is it the same for conditioner and shampoo, or can it be used even if you have slightly damaged hair?

  Usage Frequency?

  I read somewhere that a part of this hair care series should only be used 1 time/week or 1 time/every other week. I suspect it applies to the pre-shampoo, but since I haven't seen that info anywhere else, I become uncertain. Is it true that this pre-shampoo should be used less often?

    Hey Tove! 😊 This is a Pre-Shampoo that is recommended to be used about once a week. This is a rinse-off treatment that is the first step in shampooing. I'm also sending some tips on how to use it. Apply a generous amount to damp hair from the scalp all the way to the ends. Let it sit for 5 minutes and then rinse thoroughly. Then apply Bond Repair shampoo, conditioner, and finish with Leave-in serum🤍 Take care!

  Lost hair

  I did exactly what it said on the packaging, and I lost this much hair during the first use. I don't know what happened really, but I usually don't lose this much hair under normal circumstances. I didn't feel anything special on the lengths afterwards either, so I don't know if I dare to try it again.

    Just bought this and was looking for some last minute advice before applying it. The "not damaged enough so it'll make hair fall out" sounds absurd, especially since there's not even any warning about that from what I can see (if i use something for dry hair in my oily hair, it'll just get greasy fasting, not FALL OUT so if that's a thing ut should be VERY obvious warnings and information that's difficult to miss :/ Did you ever get any answers about what happened? I've been trying to prevent damage and heal it as much as possible while still coloring it during the last few years, so I'm not sure how bad/good my hair health is right now. I really appreciate you posting this, I'll do another, more "strand focused", patch test so I can see what happens. Seriously, thank you so much for giving me a heads up

  Burned my scalp

  I normally use biosilk color therapy and my hair is relatively healthy aside from getting highlights. In past I have used olaplex but discontinued because of the price. I was excited to try this range from L’Oréal Elvive since it is supposed to reconstruct the bonds in the hair. I had a horrible reaction. Immediately I noticed my scalp was burning and began to shampoo the pre treatment out. I proceeded with the bond recovery conditioner and leave in serum. My hair turned into a tangled mess, my ends look blown and my scalp burned the rest of the day. 24 hours later and it’s still itchy. This is not what L’Oréal advertises. I recommend to use this with caution.
