Beautiful, but difficult for light skin
Shade 0 might be too dark for really light skin. I have, for example, foundation in Fenty 100, so I'm currently the lightest. I bought shade 0, and it will be used, but mainly because the coverage is quite weak. The glow is however AMAZING. No makeup makeup at its best! Elf halo glow disappointment
I clicked home an elf halo glow in the shade “fair” because it looked light and not yellow or orange like many foundation-like products can turn out to be. In your pictures, it looked like a perfect color, but when I received it, I was met with this disappointment: a mustard yellow color and also much darker than what you showed it as, not at all resembling either the description or the color. ✨ Real Glow!
Okay, I really understand why this has become so popular! 😍 I really love how it makes the skin look so much fresher and more awake without it looking like I’ve put on a layer of glitter. What I like most is that the glow feels more like a natural radiance. The skin almost looks a bit “lit up,” especially when the light hits the face. That’s exactly the kind of glow I personally think is the prettiest. I mainly use it under makeup when I want a slightly more glowing base, but sometimes I also use it just on its own when I don’t feel like doing a full makeup. Then I still get a bit more life in the skin without it feeling like I actually have a lot of makeup on. I also think it’s very easy to work with. It blends nicely, and I don’t find it patchy or hard to get even. I also like that you can build up the effect depending on how much glow you want. ✨ The shade 2 Fair/Light works well for me, and I like that the result still looks quite natural. This is definitely not the product I would choose if I want a matte base – but if the goal is fresh, dewy, and glowing skin, then this one is definitely worth trying.
