    Incredible

As a #lykoinflutester, I got to try this primer from #Milkmakeup. I have used it before and it is incredibly good, the makeup sticks really well and stays nice throughout the day. It has no special scent and the packaging is both pretty and functional. For this price, however, there are quite a few equally good primers for a fraction of the price. Even though I think it works really well, it’s not something I will buy again. #lykoreview

    Way too expensive

I've tried this primer from Milk a few times now, but unfortunately I'm not convinced. Especially because it's so expensive for such an extremely small package. So I expect almost miracles, but was disappointed. The biggest reason for the low rating is that I feel it almost makes my skin dry. I usually apply my liquid foundation with my fingers, and it doesn't glide out as well and easily as it usually does with this primer underneath. Sometimes it almost seemed like the foundation was flaking a bit, or however I should describe it. The formula is a bit gel-like like most other primers. It glides on the skin, and when you start to pat it in with your fingers, it sticks a little, but not too much. Spontaneously, I think that “sticky” is usually synonymous with good grip. However, this stickiness almost completely disappears after the minute you are supposed to wait before applying foundation, and the only difference I feel on my skin is that it is a little less oily. I usually tend to get a bit oily, especially on my forehead, and if this primer does anything, it’s to reduce that oiliness a bit. It also says that you can use it alone, but I don’t see the point in that at all since I don’t notice any difference in how my skin looks when it comes to glow. One pump was enough for my face, but still half the bottle is empty after maybe 5-6 uses. No bang for your buck here unfortunately! If it had been cheaper, the rating wouldn’t have been as low, but this feels like a robbery. The amount on the back of the hand in the video is one pump! #LYKOINFLUTESTER #MILKMAKEUP

    An ok primer

Unfortunately, I don't have very many similar products to compare with, as I don't usually use primer. I definitely think it helps the makeup apply better. When it comes to longevity throughout the day, I can't actually say that I feel a noticeable difference. However, plus points for the lovely texture and that I feel my skin is much better prepped for the makeup. #lykoinflutester #milkmakeup

    Moisturizing primer with lovely glow!

This primer really lives up to its reputation! It has a light and gel-like consistency that melts into the skin without feeling sticky. The product is silicone-free, which is a big plus since silicone is water-repellent, so it doesn't work well in primer, and it keeps the makeup in place all day. The primer contains hyaluronic acid and niacinamide, both of which are products I like to use in my skincare routine as I find they provide a nice hydrated feel and a natural glow, without the skin feeling oily. The makeup applies evenly on top, and I think my foundation looks smoother and holds better with the primer. I even think it works just as well alone for a fresh, hydrated look as it does under makeup. It's a bit hard to determine, but I would say that with this primer, my makeup holds better throughout the day! However, I would say that I didn't have any wow experience; in this price range, you might find a better product. If you're looking for a primer that both cares for the skin and keeps the makeup looking nice longer, this one is definitely worth a try! I've added pictures of just the primer and of the primer with makeup on. #LYKOINFLUTESTER #MILKMAKEUP

Finally (!!) cracked the code 🥹👏🏻

I was so lucky to receive Milk Makeup's Hydro Grip Primer as a #LYKOINFLUTESTER 💚 I am 34 years old, have normal to dry skin. A bit sensitive at times if products contain a lot of fragrance. I have a few lines around my eyes, and a small one by my mouth. And I get a few pimples/bumps now and then. To be honest, I have tested this before. DID NOT get it to work on my skin 🥲 But this time I decided to do a little research and test it out for several days with different techniques - until I found the “right” way to use it. Because this is apparently a primer that you either love or hate, depending on the right technique. Guess what? I have finally cracked the code - at least for my skin 🥹👏🏻👏🏻 First of all, this is a primer with both hyaluronic acid and niacinamide. So skincare! 😍 The first and biggest mistake I made with this is applying other moisture serums and moisturizers before I applied the primer. That’s the first mistake people make, I think - myself included. It becomes butter on bacon and usually ends up with a lot of pilling of both skincare and makeup along the way. Less is more, even when it comes to skincare 😂 So step number one; Pat a thin toner into the entire face as the only prep before the primer. I do this just so the skincare in the primer can penetrate deeper into the skin, giving lots of moisture. Then I pump out 2 pumps of primer onto my hand and distribute it all over my face. The consistency is a light gel. At first, it is very easy to spread, but becomes sticky the more you work it into the skin. I apply it first like a moisturizer, before I gently pat it in until I feel it starting to get sticky. This also helps the primer press into fine lines and pores. Then I wait 1 minute before I apply makeup over it. When I apply foundation/skin tint and concealer over, I always press the products in with a brush. I never drag the brush over the skin!! Pilling of skin/makeup can still happen if you have dry skin or haven’t exfoliated in a while, which is more likely to happen if you drag the brush over the face. Important to remember 🥹 And these are the steps that have worked perfectly for me and this primer 💚 The result on my makeup after a whole day at work was truly impressive. The smile line I have next to my mouth, where the makeup ALWAYS creases - was still completely smooth when I got home from work!! 😮 And that’s not a given here. So I finally understand the hype around this primer and will actually continue to use it. Because wow, what an insane result. The only negative thing I have to say is that I feel like my skin feels a bit “heavier” with this on. It could be that it’s because I’m not used to using primers regularly. But my skin doesn’t feel dry, just a bit “tight” in a way. As if I have on a slightly thicker layer of makeup than I usually wear. Therefore, I think that what is stated in the description about it not giving a “heavy feeling” doesn’t quite hold true. Also, I think the price is very high compared to how little product you get, especially in a 10ml. The next largest at 45ml is also maybe a little product, in relation to the price. But it’s nice to wish for as a birthday or Christmas gift 😍 Can absolutely be recommended - if you use it correctly! 💚 #MILKMAKEUP

    Pretty okay but nothing wow

As a #lykoinflutester, I had the honor of trying this product from #milkmakeup ✨ This is a product that unfortunately didn't completely convince me, so I have to join many of the other reviews that say it's... so-so. For starters, I feel like I would have liked it to be a bit stickier to be a primer, but I also think it held up well throughout the day, so maybe it's just my preconceived notions about primers that are haunting me here. However, I am also someone who applies my makeup with my fingers, and I found that the makeup kind of... flowed out a bit too much, it was hard to get it in place all at once. It probably would have gone better if I had used a beauty blender and patted everything in, hehe. Secondly, I agree that the price is outrageous for the small product and that I also feel like you have to use quite a bit of product for it to really feel like you have a primer on your face for the makeup to set into. So the sum of the matter is that I will probably use this on a few more special occasions when I apply heavier makeup (with a beauty blender), but I probably wouldn't buy it again. 🫣

    Good base!

I recently had the opportunity to test out Milk Makeup's Hydro Grip Primer, and I am impressed. This primer has a light and silky consistency that makes it easy to apply. It feels a bit tacky when applied to the skin, but once it sets, it glides smoothly over the skin and creates a perfect base for makeup. One of the best features of this primer is that it really keeps the makeup in place all day. I find that it reduces the visibility of pores and fine lines, giving a more even appearance. I have used it under different types of makeup, but mainly the Hydro Grip Gel Tint, and I have noticed that it and other products sit much better and stay consistent throughout the day. I have not experienced any fading or transfer of makeup, which is a big plus. I have sensitive skin with some acne. And the primer has not triggered my skin. The only negative about this is maybe the price, but I would absolutely recommend it to anyone looking for long-lasting and flawless makeup. If you are willing to spend a little money on makeup! It is perfect under all types of makeup, but it works really well with the other products in the Milk Makeup line. Super cute packaging, and even though the color looks green in the container - it is not when it goes on the skin! #lykoinflutester #milkmakeup

    Totally okay 😬

I got the chance to test the Milk Makeup Mini Hydro Grip Primer 💗 I want to start by mentioning that I usually don’t use primer because I think it’s a bit of an unnecessary step, hehe 🤓 But I’ve been testing this one for a while now and I think it’s okay! It gives a nice glow and helps the makeup last a bit better throughout the day. It doesn’t smell much, which is a big plus! It’s a very small packaging so it runs out very quickly, but it’s perfect in the makeup bag when you’re traveling or don’t have much space. I like that the packaging is transparent so you can see how much product is left. #LYKOINFLUTESTER #MILKMAKEUP

  • Great primer!

Like most of the products from Milk Makeup, this primer is really great! It has a gel consistency that is easy to apply on the skin, and when it "dries", it becomes almost a bit sticky. The makeup lasts all day, and I notice a big difference especially in the T-zone on the days I don't use it. A little goes a long way, slight scent, and provides a good base for makeup 😊 Very satisfied! #lykoinflutester #milkmakeup

Too expensive primer for an OK product

As a #LYKOINFLUTESTER, I have had the honor of testing three products this time. First up for a review is a primer from #MILKMAKEUP. 👱🏼‍♀️ me as a tester: A combination skin type. Often troubled by my dry skin. Large pores. 🌟 the product: According to the description, an award-winning gel primer that is supposed to hold makeup for up to 12H. Contains hyaluronic acid and niacinamide for hydration. Should distribute evenly for a smooth, nice, and glowy finish. 📝 opinion: My first thought was that the product had an incredibly synthetic scent, but the scent disappears relatively quickly upon application. The consistency is a bit softer than what you would expect from a gel primer. Quite sticky at first but gets better upon application. The typical "stickiness" also disappears relatively quickly when the product is massaged into the skin. The stickiness doesn't disappear completely, but I would say that 90% of the stickiness disappears after application. Which isn't bad in itself, it's quite a nice feeling that it has a little stickiness left. However, this affects that it doesn't keep the makeup in place all day. Now during pollen season, I sneeze quite a bit, and you can see how the foundation disappears immediately and leaves a trace behind. It doesn't hold at all what it promises - that the makeup should stay in place for 12 hours - when you touch your face, your foundation comes off. And that's a bit of what a primer is for - so I wouldn't say this is a good product for keeping makeup in place all day. It gets plus points for the feeling that it cools a bit right upon application and that it has a perfect consistency of stickiness / and normalizes well on the skin. Otherwise, it's not a keeper. It's too expensive and doesn't hold what it promises. If I buy a primer, it should last at least several times after touching my face / wiping my nose.

    Give a little

Can start with how my skincare routine is: In the morning, I have moisturizer with SPF on my face and around my eyes. I have quite dry and sensitive skin that tends to flake, especially now in winter. This feels moisturizing, and it wasn't just immediate moisture, it lasted about the whole day. I didn't experience that it made my skin drier or that it made my skin flaky. Smelled a bit chemical when it came out of the pump, but there wasn't much scent and it was almost gone before the product hit the skin. I didn't experience any reaction from my sensitive skin to this primer. When I had tinted gel on top of this, it puffed up a bit on the first try, but I didn't experience the same problem to the same extent on other occasions. If you don't use any moisturizer beforehand, this is probably fine to have under makeup. It provides moisture and helps the makeup stay better on the skin than without primer at all. For me, who uses moisturizer with SPF daily, I didn't notice any difference with or without the primer, so this became redundant for me. When used over moisturizer, this reacted by turning white, and I felt it didn't sit as well. I think the pump could be better, it's a bit hard so unless you have good control over it, you get either way too much or not enough product out of it. I love that the tube is transparent so you can see exactly how much product you have left. One day I tried to have half and half with the primer on my face, so one side without primer and one side with to really try to test it. At the end of the day, it actually seemed like the side with primer made it worse than the side without. This could be coincidental, but coincidence or not, with so little difference with or without the primer, I probably won't use it again. LYKOINFLUTESTER MILKMAKEUP

  • A FAVORITE IN REPLAY

Hydro Grip Primer I have tested before and really like it! I know that I was a bit skeptical at first, but then when I learned which products work with this, it really does its job. It REALLY holds the makeup in place! Any season! It also gives the appearance of a bit more glow and life in the face 💚 It is a bit sticky on the skin, which was probably what I thought felt a bit different? 💚 No scent 💚 Works fine on my dry skin 💚 It lasts a long time 💚 It keeps the makeup in place I highly recommend 🙌🏼 #LYKOINFLUTESTER #MILKMAKEUP
