Combines with other products
How can this product be combined with niacinamide and azelaic acid (both from The Ordinary)?193 views- The user's roll: Farmaceut på Lyko. The comment was made 1 weekHey Hanna😊 Medik8 Crystal Retinal 6 Cream 30ml can be combined with niacinamide and azelaic acid, but not all at the same time. A safe way is: niacinamide in the morning, retinal in the evening, and azelaic acid on evenings when you’re not using retinal. Start gradually and always use sunscreen during the day. Hope the answer can be helpful and that you have a super nice day💫1 likes

Laser?
I use IPL laser at home with a Braun machine on my face once a week. Can this be used in conjunction?260 views- The user's roll: Customer service at Lyko. The comment was made 3 weeksHey Nora! 👋 I wouldn't recommend using Medik8 Crystal Retinal 6 while doing IPL treatments at home. Retinal makes the skin thinner and more sensitive, and IPL is a heat and light treatment that also stresses the skin. Together, they can increase the risk of irritation, pigmentation, burns, or slow recovery ✨ Here are some tips to follow: Before IPL: Pause the use of retinal for at least 5–7 days (7–10 days for sensitive skin). Also avoid other active ingredients like acids and strong vitamin C. After IPL: Wait until the skin is completely restored (no redness, tightness, or heat), usually 7–10 days, before starting with Retinal again. Start cautiously with lower strength or fewer nights a week. Sun protection: SPF 30–50 every day is extra important both during the IPL course and when using Retinal. Rule of thumb: Always pause Retinal during an ongoing IPL course, and only reintroduce it when the skin is stable. Take care! 🤍

Combine with other products
Hi. I use this every evening. I have 2 questions: *I also use Niacinamide serum. How can I combine these 2? Should I use the Niacinamide in the morning, or in the evening before Medik8? *When this runs out, should I then get a stronger Medik8? If so, which one?911 views- The user's roll: Customer service at Lyko. The comment was made 2 monthsHey Linda 👋😊 You are on the right track, use your niacinamide in the morning and the retinal in the evening to combine them best 😍🙌 If your skin feels stable and you want to work more on fine lines, pigmentation, skin texture, you can increase to retinal 10 👇 lyko.com/sv/medik8/medik8-crystal-retinl-10-cream-30ml Start every other evening for 1-2 weeks and then increase to every evening if your skin feels good 🤍 Good luck!!

Acne Scars
Does this work for mild scars and pigmentation after acne?2366 views- The user's roll: Customer service at Lyko. The comment was made 4 monthsHey Matina! 😊 Yes, it’s great for wrinkles and pigmentation! If you’ve tried retinal before but haven’t used it regularly, I recommend starting with number 3. If you’re completely new to retinal, number 1 is the best choice to gently acclimate your skin! Use it at night and gradually increase 💌 lyko.com/sv/medik8/medik8-crystal-retinal-1-serum-30-ml lyko.com/sv/medik8/medik8-crystal-retinal-3-serum-30-ml Take care!1 likes

How do I choose the right strength?
Hi! I use the “Retinal + Niacinamide Youth Serum” from the brand “Youth to the People” which contains 0.15% stabilized retinaldehyde. I really like the product but I'm curious about Medik8 and their retinal, so I'm wondering which product I should choose from Medik8 considering what I'm using today? I would be very grateful for guidance!2297 views- The user's roll: Farmaceut på Lyko. The comment was made 5 monthsI understand! When I look, it seems like Medik8 Crystal Retinal 10 – contains about 0.10 % retinaldehyde, which is close to your current strength and a good alternative. If you want to start cautiously, choose Crystal Retinal 6 (0.06 %) and ramp up later. Tip: Introduce the product gradually anyway, even if the strength is similar – just a reminder that the formula differs between brands. Feel free to continue with soothing and moisturizing products in parallel. Hope this can help you a bit on your way and wish you good luck with your skincare😊1 likes

Does it go together?
Hi, I use Augustinus Bader The Cream and serum. Can I use this serum under the cream at night? Also, what strength should I start with? I have used retinol before but not Medik 8. Thanks!1753 views- The user's roll: Farmaceut på Lyko. The comment was made 5 monthsHi Bettina Katalin😊 Thank you for your question✨ Since Augustinus Bader The Cream contains retinyl palmitate, which is also a vitamin A, I do not recommend using these at the same time. One vitamin A product at a time is sufficient, otherwise there is a risk of irritation and sensitivity in the skin. If you still want to use Medik8, I suggest using it on the evenings you do not use your Augustinus Bader The Cream. If you have used retinol before, I recommend starting with the lowest strength for Medik8 as it is powerful, i.e. 3, and start gently: 2 evenings/week, then gradually increase. Also, don’t forget sunscreen during the day. Always listen to your skin: if you see signs of irritation, redness, flaking → reduce the frequency. Hope the answer can be helpful and that you have a lovely day🌞

Storage?
Hi! Do you know if this needs to be stored in the fridge or if it’s okay at room temperature? 😊4358 views- The user's roll: Customer service at Lyko. The comment was made 1 yearsHey Liviana-Elena! You don't need to store this in the fridge! It thrives best at room temperature, as long as it stands in a cool and dark place, like in a bathroom cabinet or drawer. It helps protect the sensitive retinaldehyde from light and heat Take care!4 likes
