Fantastic caring product 👏👏
Redken rarely disappoints.. My hair, which is curly and thick, is hard to manage and hard to style. Frizz, dryness, and split ends that can be compared to a haystack out on a hot summer day 🤮 But Redken actually succeeded with what many other products have disappointed me over.. even products that are meant solely for frizzy hair have a hard time taming or nourishing my unruly hair. So, what benefits did I find in this product..? ●Less frizz! Hallelujah 👏 ●Visibly more shine ✨️ ●Softer and more manageable hair ●5-minute processing time! (Everything else takes a long time 😂) Did I find any downsides then..? Yes, I would call it a little luxury problem.. because my hair was so much softer (and rehydrated?) I had trouble with the styling holding when I curled my hair, for example. Normally, I don’t need to use texture sprays or similar, but now the hair was so soft that the styling fell apart quite quickly 🤭 One more thing I noticed was that I felt like my hair got greasy a little faster than usual.. not a big problem for me, but it might be good to know 😊 I would have posted before and after pictures if it weren’t for the fact that I’m in a period where I’m losing a lot of hair due to personal reasons. It wouldn’t give a fair representation of it then. But I promise you would have seen the difference! 🙏 I believe you would notice a significant difference in your hair quality over time when using this series. I have tested Redken Acidic Bonding Concentrate Shampoo, Acidic Bonding Concentrate Conditioner, and Acidic Bonding Concentrate 5-Min Mask together. Otherwise good scent, good bottle, and so on! Weighed my hair down and made it flat
🙋♀️ My hair I have dry medium long hair. It is not treated in any way. My hair is naturally wavy and it’s very thin/fine so it gets damaged and dry at the ends very easily. I use hair straightener almost daily. 🧴 The packaging This mask comes in an upside down tube. Which is very nice, because it’s super easy to get the product out. It also has nice holographic design on it. 👀 The texture and looks The product is pearly white in color. The consistency was surprising to me since it is runny. Usually all masks that I used before are much thicker, while this one was something between the shampoo and the conditioner when it comes to consistency. 👃 The smell Citrusy smell, like other products from this line. And yes, it lingers for a very long time in your hair. 🤔 My opinion I always used this mask after I used the shampoo from the same line. And just like the shampoo and conditioner from this line, I noticed the smell and AHA and citric acid. The smell is powerful and this is not for you if you’re sensitive to smells. The AHA and citric acid did nothing for me, and I don’t like that it basically exposed my scalp to extra sun damage. I didn’t get any benefits from this mask. I looked at the pictures on this products page here and these before and after pictures feel like they were reversed for me. My hair had volume and was neat before, and after use it felt frizzy and just flat. All of the volume I had was gone. I feel like this product is just too heavy for my fine and thin hair and was weighing it down horribly. ✨ A hair mask that feels like a real lifesaver for your hair!
Redken Acidic Bonding Concentrate 5-Min Mask is the kind of hair mask I really like when my hair feels dry, damaged, or just needs a little extra love. I think a good hair mask can make such a big difference to the overall feel of your hair, and this one really feels like a luxurious extra step in the shower. 🤍 The best part is that it only needs to work for 5 minutes. That suits me perfectly because I like to give my hair a proper treatment without having to stand in the shower forever. 😂 The texture is creamy and easy to distribute through the lengths. I have used the Redken Concentrate series with both conditioner and aftercare, and I am very satisfied with the result. Already after a short time, I noticed that my hair felt stronger and healthier. It also gained a very nice shine that made it look more lively and well-groomed. As a person with curly hair, I often experience frizz, but this series made a clear difference. The hair became noticeably less frizzy, and my curls were defined in a much nicer and more controlled way. The products do not weigh the hair down but at the same time provide enough moisture and care so that the curls stay soft and bouncy throughout the day. All in all, this is a series I would definitely recommend, especially to those with curls who want more definition, less frizz, and a healthier appearance of the hair. PS! Very important to rinse the products well; the times I didn’t, the hair and curls became greasier. I have been using the Redken Acidic Bonding Concentrate series for a while now, and I was actually positively surprised already after the first wash. I have fine hair strands but a lot of hair, and in addition, my hair is bleached, so it quickly becomes both dry and fragile. Therefore, I am quite picky when it comes to products that promise strength and repair. The scent was the first thing I noticed: fresh, sweet, and pleasant, without being too strong. Already after the first round with shampoo and conditioner, my hair felt softer and smoother, almost as if it had received a little lift. It felt less porous and more cohesive, which is rare for bleached hair after just one wash. The leave-in treatment feels good, and it’s positive that it also provides heat protection. Shine and Moisture!
This product is absolutely amazing for dry and frizzy hair, it provides a lot of moisture and makes the hair very shiny! Hair Mask
I have as #lykoinflutester tested some products from #redken and have now tried both shampoo, conditioner, and this hair mask for about 3 weeks. When it comes to the starting point, I would say that my hair is a bit on the drier side, highlighted, and thick with thinner hair strands. All of the products make a good impression on me. This hair mask makes my hair soft and very easy to comb. I don't feel like you need a lot of product for it to have an effect on the hair, which is a plus!! A big plus is also that it provides heat protection. The scent is a bit fruity, and it smells like a hair salon when you step out of the shower. However, I noticed the last time I used the shampoo, conditioner, and hair mask that my hair smelled a bit musty after a few days. I haven't experienced this with any product before, and I find it hard to say whether it's the product or something else that has caused this with my hair. Maybe someone else has experienced this? Overall, I think it's a great mask that really does what it promises. Acidic Bonding Concentrate 5-Min Mask
I have been so lucky to test Redken's "Acidic Bonding Concentrate" series. This is the treatment in the series, and the bottle states that you should use it once a week. The consistency is a bit creamier and runnier than the conditioner, and it looks almost glossy/shimmery when you take it in your hand (without there actually being mica or glitter in it). It has a whopping 16% Bonding Care Complex, so expectations were high. Even though I rinsed my hair well, my hair felt greasy and heavy as soon as it dried naturally. This surprised me a lot since I have fully bleached and very damaged hair. The second time I used it, however, I was more careful with the amount and rinsed it out even better, and got a lovely result. Be careful not to make the mistake of using conditioner before the treatment! If you use conditioner before the treatment, you close the cuticles of the hair strands, and since the molecules in the mask are smaller than in the conditioner, they won't be able to penetrate to treat the hair strand. Then you lose the full effect of the treatment. Something I must mention, since the products contain AHA (alpha hydroxy acid), it states on the bottle that the product may increase the skin's sensitivity to the sun. So if you use this regularly, it is actually wise to protect the scalp 🧢 Another thing to know is that Redken's "Bonding Care Complex" series is a combination of acidic pH (citric acid) + nourishing/sealing ingredients. So you don't need to use shampoo + conditioner/treatment together to "activate" anything. Gives hair moisture!
🪩 First impression: A sleek tube that feels professional. It might have been easier if it was designed differently. The scent is fresh and not too strong, which I appreciate very much! 🪩 Experience The consistency is a bit too runny. I would have appreciated it being a bit creamier, but it does its job. You can feel right away how the treatment nourishes the hair, and my hair really absorbs all the moisture. You have to take a little at a time in the hair and kind of press it into the hair. Be a little careful using it at the roots if you tend to get oily hair, then just use it on the lengths. :) 👩🏼🦱 My hair background: I have thick, wavy hair with fine strands that are both dry, damaged, and bleached. Intensive Care for Fragile Ends 🌿
I, as #lykoinflutester, have received this Acidic Bonding series from #redken to test for a few weeks. My hair consists of many ultra-thin strands that easily split and break. The mask therefore feels like a product that can provide that little extra when the hair needs more nourishment. It has a thick and quite sticky consistency, which makes it a bit more intense than the conditioner. 😍 Here I want to raise a warning finger ⚠️ do not use the mask on the entire hair, but concentrate on the ends. When I tried to apply it too high up, the hair felt almost like glue and heavy after washing. However, in the ends, it makes a big difference – the hair becomes soft, manageable, and feels stronger. Regarding the ingredients, the mask contains, just like the rest of the series, citric acid for pH balancing as well as proteins and amino acids that strengthen the hair's inner structure. For my thin strands, this is valuable, as they easily split and break. I use the mask with every wash (washing twice a week), but always in small amounts and only on the lengths. The packaging comes with a snap lid, which I find convenient in the shower. However, I would have wished for a slightly larger hole for the product – now I feel that you have to press quite hard to get the mask out. Maybe it's just my sample, but it makes the application a bit more cumbersome than necessary. In the long run, I notice that the ends stay healthier and do not break as easily. The mask feels like a good complement to the conditioner – but with the right usage. ❤️🩹 👉 An intensive and nutrient-rich mask that makes the ends soft and stronger.
