I had the honor of testing Clinique’s lip products and I am incredibly impressed! Clinique Almost Lipstick Black Honey I have never tried a color like this before, so it was a completely new experience for me, and I love it! Clinique Almost Lipstick in Black Honey has a fantastic, universally flattering shade that looks so natural and elegant. The best part is that the color is easy to build up; a swipe gives a soft tone, but you can easily apply more for a deeper pigment. The formula is also incredibly soft and pleasant, and it doesn’t dry out the lips at all, which is a big plus. It feels like a perfect blend between a balm and a lipstick, and I really understand why it’s a cult favorite. I will definitely be using this often! Not quite friends with this
I like the concept, and it gives a nice shine. The color was a bit too reddish-brown for my taste, but that's probably more about my own lips and preferences. It's easy to apply and has a simple and neat packaging. 🤍 My problem with this is that I can't get it to lay nicely, it goes on incredibly streaky on my lips and I can't "smudge" it out either. Smooth, naturally pretty!
I was actually a bit skeptical about this since the black honey color has been so hyped… but it also made me curious. Now I carry it with me all the time! I usually feel a bit dressed up as soon as I have a color that is a bit more - oh, she has lipstick on - in color, which tends to be red and darker shades, so this one was perfect for feeling natural but a bit more fun. Super pretty despite uneven color
Spontaneously, I love this color, it’s so pretty! But it lays best if you have well-moisturized lips right from the start. Maybe you should mix it with a good clear lip balm for the best result? At first, when I used it, it laid nicely and well in every way. But as the day goes on and the lips become drier, the color lays unevenly and the result is not nearly as flawless. But regardless, I love this color. And I can actually forgive that it tends to lay unevenly if the lips aren’t properly moisturized. It’s like a really good movie. A really good movie CAN have some holes in the plot, you overlook that if the overall experience is good enough. That’s how Almost Lipstick in Black Honey color is. I'm 50/50 on this product. I really like the color, but it applies unevenly if you're even a little dry. The packaging was much lighter than I thought it would be, felt a bit cheap the first time I twisted it open. On the other hand, it's nice that it doesn't weigh super much! Pretty but overhyped
Pretty color, feels smooth and nice on the lips but doesn't last well. In my opinion, it's a bit overhyped considering the longevity and price, but that's just a matter of taste. Moisturizing and good format
As a #lykoinflutester, I got to test this lip gloss from #Clinique. It's important to keep in mind with products like this, dark but at the same time transparent color, not to have all flaky lips before starting to use it. I recommend using a light scrub if you haven't done it in a while, otherwise the result will be quite patchy. Just because the product is clearly colored, it's good that the tip is narrower than on regular lip balms, to avoid applying outside the lips when I'm in a rush. I also appreciate that the packaging seems to be resistant to scratches and fingerprints; the same cannot be said for the sister product, the lip and cheek oil. In the picture, I have painted my lips with lip gloss on one half and lip oil on the other. For being a lip gloss and not a lip balm, it holds the moisturizing feeling relatively long.Translated from swedish
