I got to test the Shine & Repair Shampoo from Izel Beauty and here comes my honest review. 🫧 A bit about my hair type: I have typical Scandinavian hair - fine, normal in thickness, and pin straight. My hair is colored and can sometimes get a bit dry at the ends and frizzy. I wash my hair every other day! I have used the shampoo every wash for two weeks and am positively surprised, as other reviews may not have been the best. I always shampoo my hair twice every wash, and this shampoo lathers really well. The first time I used it, my hair got quite tangled in the shower, but after a few washes, it felt like my hair kind of "got used to it", because now it’s not a problem anymore. The shampoo cleanses as it should, and my hair feels softer and shinier than before. The feeling after washing is really fresh. The bottle is super pretty, and pink happens to be my favorite color, so it feels luxurious to have it standing in the shower. One thing to be aware of is the scent, it is very sweet and floral, very intense and lingers in the hair for a long time. I think it smells good, but it easily overpowers other scents like perfume, which is the only downside for me and brings the rating down by one star. But overall, I am very satisfied. Smells dreamy
After trying other products in the line, I was afraid this product would smell too strong as well. How surprised I was! This has just the right amount of fragrance in it, which I appreciate. A big plus is how nice the mist packaging is during application, the product becomes so easy to distribute in the hair thanks to that! Good but not a new favorite
A completely okay conditioner that does its job. After testing it for a while, I find that my hair becomes soft, shiny, and easy to comb through, but the results are not different from several budget alternatives I've used before. Considering the price, I expected a bit more wow-feeling. Pretty okay shampoo! I haven't felt any wow factor after trying this shampoo, but I'm not dissatisfied either. I would have wished for a bit more from the heat protection, a tad more moisture and thus better protection. But the mist, it doesn't get sticky, gives an incredibly fine spray and distributes so nicely over the whole hair! It is supposed to combat frizz, but I don't think it works at all. As I said, maybe all these products work better when I'm in Spain and there's a different humidity. But this just feels like water with perfume in my hair. So I actually don't think this is quite for me, maybe when the weather is different (like when I'm in Spain and the humidity is different). I have been so lucky to be allowed to test a couple of products from #izelbeauty as a #lykoinflutester. And this shine serum is one of them 😄 I think the design is super nice and incredibly cute, so I want to have it out in the shower because of its appearance, and it is also very practical with such a tube for such a product in my opinion. I think the scent is lovely but strong, so there is probably quite a bit of perfume in this series, so I wouldn’t recommend this product if you are sensitive to scents. I have been using this serum after every shower now (every other day) for a couple of weeks and I must say I am positively surprised. It gives a lot of shine and doesn’t give the feeling of becoming greasy like many other serums can do. Great spray bottle and light mist!
I have tested Izel Beauty's Gloss Shield Heat Protection Spray, and I really like it! It's been a while since I've tested a heat protectant that has such a good spray bottle function. The product comes out as a light mist and is easy to distribute in the hair without weighing it down too much. This way, you are also more assured that the product actually covers the entire hair. Many react to the scent, but I love it! (But I also love perfume, hehe). So I can understand that some react to it having a slightly too strong perfumed scent, as this is a matter of preference. It seems to hold what it promises, but it's hard to say if it actually protects when you haven't tested it over a longer period. I have tested Izel Beauty's Hair Perfecting Shine Serum. I have long and thick hair, but it's dry at the ends and a bit frizzy.
