Doesn't work at all
Since they changed the product's appearance and applicator, they must have changed the formula because it doesn't work at all? I used to get totally crazy results before, and now absolutely NOTHING is happening… But I've seen that they've released a new one with the old applicator and I'm going to give it a try🙏🏼 hope it works like the old one, if not better!! The worst spray nozzle I've ever experienced
Waterclouds Instant Heat Protection really smells nice✨ It has a fruity, fresh candy scent, almost like watermelon 🍉 and scent-wise it is definitely approved among the heat protectants I have tested. Unfortunately, this is also the only thing that impresses🫣 The actual spray/mist is completely worthless. Instead of a fine, even mist, you get a hard stream straight out, which makes the product extremely difficult to apply to the hair in a good way. The point of a spray bottle completely disappears when it behaves like this. If I still have to spray into my palm and distribute with my hands, I might as well buy a product that is made for just that. Because that is the only thing I have had to do to get it somewhat evenly distributed in the hair, spray it out in my hand first😅 When it comes to the result, I also notice no direct difference in either shine, volume, or feel in the hair. The product simply hasn't made any significant impression on me, and with the poor spray function as the biggest downside, I unfortunately cannot recommend it. Good for its price range!
I have tested many hot air brushes in a similar price range, but the Big Blowout Heat Brush from By Lyko actually stands out positively. The oval shape makes a big difference, I feel like I can reach the hair in a completely different way, which gives a more controlled styling. ✨ BUT it promises "lots of volume", I am a person whose hair has ZERO volume, nadaaa, no matter what I do🙄 unfortunately I have to report that this doesn't make any difference for me regarding volume. Another big advantage is that it doesn't overheat, something that has been a recurring problem with several other brushes I've tried.✨ For its price range, it is really good. It feels stable, gives a nice result, and is pleasant to use. What personally brings down the rating for me is that I have extremely fine, many, and thin hair strands, and with my hair type, the roots never get completely dry if I only use this brush. I need to supplement with something else to get the hair completely dry and ready for styling🥰 If I have to choose a blow-dry styling tool, I still prefer the "Dyson" variants with the barrels that suck up the hair, they are more convenient, faster, and significantly gentler on the arms during use. But in terms of price and function, the Big Blowout Heat Brush is still a really good choice and definitely better than several others I've tested. Does what it should, but definitely not a mist that's light as air
Urban Decay All Nighter is a setting spray that I fundamentally really like, it doesn't irritate my skin, helps the makeup melt together nicely, and keeps everything in place without feeling sticky. ✨✨✨✨✨ The result is even, long-lasting, and fresh. I do notice, however, that I become more matte throughout the day, even though the spray claims to neither make the skin matte nor dewy, which I don't really like, I would prefer my skin to look as much like skin as possible even when I have makeup on, and I'm not completely matte.🫣 What brings down the overall rating for me, however, is the mist itself. The product promises a featherlight, fine mist, but in my experience, it sprays quite "chunky" with larger droplets than I expected. This makes the application a bit less smooth, and sometimes I have to dab off excess to avoid spots. So on that front, there are definitely other mists I would prefer to choose just for the mist's sake, but I do like how it keeps the makeup from feeling sticky!✨ Despite that, I still like the spray's effect, it does its job well and keeps the makeup looking really nice. I have to start by saying it straight up, Grip Trip Hydrating Primer is DÖ-delicious! 😍 The packaging is so pretty that you almost want to keep it out just to look at it. Fenty delivers as usual when it comes to design and feel!✨ When I first tested it, I was pleasantly surprised by the consistency, it doesn’t feel like a typical silicone primer, but more like a moisturizing skincare product. It melts into the skin and gives a soft, cared-for feeling. Fantastic Setting Spray
I finally tried Fenty Beauty's You Mist Makeup-Extending Setting Spray, and I have to say I'm really impressed! I've been using it for a few weeks now, both for everyday and before longer days, and here are my thoughts: Right from the first spray, I noticed how fine and even the mist is, it feels almost like a cloud of moisture landing on the skin. No big drops, no sticky feeling, just a light and even mist that really envelops the makeup perfectly. The packaging also feels luxurious and sleek, just like everything from Fenty. After I spray it over my makeup, everything really melts together. The base looks smoother, the powder looks less dry, and the whole makeup gets a natural, fresh finish. I love that it extends the wear of the makeup, but without making the skin shiny or heavy. I've used it both right after I did my makeup and even during the day to really melt all the layers together! Requires Patience
Thank you Lyko for the trust! I have now tried la Roche posay's anthelios hydration lotion for a while and love the idea of the packaging to reduce plastic! However, I am a bit annoyed by the small cap, it easily gets set aside and gets a lot of lotion on it. I have a few comments about the lotion itself! ✨I appreciate when it is fragrance-free, super good, but sometimes products can have a weird smell from the ingredients anyway and this one smells somewhat like raisins in my opinion😅 sisådär ✨I have zero patience and don't have time to wait for something to dry on my skin, so for me, I need a lotion/SPF that absorbs quickly! By quickly, I mean quickly🙈 å and then I have one that I like from another brand (a benefit when trying something new so you can compare) anthelios spf took about 30 minutes to absorb on me, in some people's ears maybe super fast, in my ears way too slow🙄 ✨However, I want to say that on the days when you have the patience to wait at least 30 minutes, it absorbs super nicely and is hardly noticeable It hasn't really been weather to lie on the beach and sunbathe and swim, and the ultimate test I think is to see if a lot of sand sticks to the lotion when you're at the beach🙈 my favorite SPF for the body that I have managed to find after many years is indeed sand-repellent👏🏼 At first glance, when I apply it to my body, I get a feeling that it is too sticky, but I just have to work on my patience, wait and let it absorb🙈 for when it has absorbed, as mentioned, it is so nice on the skin! Can't say much about the dark-spot idea but opinions about the product itself
I have both previously and during this test period tried anthelios UVmune ultra light SPF, so the one without anti-dark spots. It hasn't been a big favorite of mine Now I'm going to sound super pick me, but I don't have any dark spots yet🙄✨ which might make my review a bit? Blaha in this context, BUT, you can still keep reading since I have opinions on how the product itself feels on the skin, for me! very sticky=nothing for me, the feeling is just way too greasy Upon application and a while after, it stung on my cheeks and around my eyes, I have combination skin and usually don't get that dry on my cheekbones where it stung now, so I wouldn't think it stung because I was directly dry. But anyway, it's not a good sign if it stings so no thanks! I have had comments on the scent of the one without dark-spot, but this one I think doesn't have that strong scent at all, so that's a plus! The lotion itself is a bit yellowish which can leave stains on light clothes, so be aware of that! Not for me
I have tried La Roche Posay's anthelios UVmuneUltra light SPF before and wasn't really impressed🙄 It has been a jungle to find a SPF for the face that works for me, either it stings my eyes, or it's too sticky, has niacinamide in it or has given me breakouts in the form of pimples and acne. I have found my favorite, unfortunately it's not this one... so if you had expectations there for a moment, I must inform you that this is not any greater favorite, I would say! I think that It is too sticky, it doesn't sink in but just sits on top and feels greasy on me, I already have combination skin and during the summer I get a greasy T-zone, so a minus that this one is so greasy väääääly runny in consistency which made me think it wouldn't feel so greasy, and sure it can be a supernice formula, but this one almost runs off before you get your hands to your face I think it has an incredibly strong scent? Almost alcoholic, big minus for me But I know that this is a big favorite among MANY, including my brother, so I would say, try it! If it doesn't work for you, give it away or swap with a friend who might have tried another one they didn't like!
