Pigmented and Shimmery
I really like this cream blush, maybe the color isn't quite 100% right for me, but I've still used it frequently! It's well pigmented and has such a nice shimmer in it that is light-reflective, I tried to capture it in the little video. I find it easy to work with, I dab the product directly on my face and blend it out with a brush. Finally, I blend the last bit with a sponge to soften the final result. However, it feels like it's a bit patchy, but it's hard to determine if it's the product itself or the combination with my foundation that I'm using. I really dislike this packaging, it brings my rating down a lot. I know many love the little "sponge", but I just think it gets messy and hard to control how much product comes out. It also feels like you're wasting a lot of product. Especially if it gets a little "squished" in the makeup bag, then there's product everywhere in the cap. However, I think the price is incredible for what you get, Elf really makes great products for a low price. #ELFCosmetics is here!!! Most of us have probably heard a lot of amazing things through American influencers, so I got super pumped that my #LykoInflutester package contained a whole FOUR products to test now that they are finally launching here!!! 🤩 A nice tube with a scary (for me 🙈) fluffy applicator - you can see in the video how the fragrance-free blush comes out! 😅 The color is not for me, I’m more for silver or rosy tones than golden, but nice color otherwise. 👌🏽 🎩The video🎩 The application was best with fingers, I also tried with a sponge and brush off camera, but none of that was optimal.. 😬 I found it hard to build up without getting patchy, so it looked like I had been hit.. 😳 It couldn’t be corrected without making it worse. 🙈And looks so much worse IRL🙈 And with that, it also had a tendency to remove the makeup underneath, like foundation. 😔 I also tried it on my eyelids, and there I felt it was just right. 😋 ✨🦄Summary✨🦄 ➕ Nice color ➕ Vegan & cruelty-free ➖ Hard to build ➖ Tendency to remove makeup underneath ➖ Applies patchy, hard to correct Unfortunately, this blush was not for me, I can use it on my eyelids as a creamy shadow, and maybe for some dramatic photoshoots, but unfortunately not more than that. 🤷🏽♀️1 product in post 🤭Blush or bruise🤔7777 views- The user's roll: Lyko Creator. Charlotte Tilbury dupe?
I have used this both with and without foundation. On bare skin, the color becomes quite natural and a bit weak, and I think it shows even less over foundation. The consistency is very light and fluid. You need quite a bit of product to get a noticeable color, as it contains small glitter particles and is not very pigmented. On the positive side, it gives a nice, glowy finish.✨ I prefer it with a brush, but I find it dries quite quickly, so you have to work fast to blend it out. If you wait too long, it can dry on the skin and become a bit patchy when you try to blend it out. It works almost as well as a highlighter, and I don’t use extra highlighter when I have this on. I think it suits best for a light everyday look, especially in summer or when you want a natural, fresh glow without too much makeup. I really like that it feels light on the skin and gives a nice glow. Not worth all the hype
I saw on TikTok that this was supposed to be a THE glowy blush and thought, well, it's not overpriced, so I'll buy it if this turns out to be a good new blush for everyday makeup. Well, it wasn't. Learned to love it!
It wasn't obvious at first, many say they can apply it directly to the face but I couldn't get it to work. It became patchy and the base moved around, etc. But when I finally started putting the product on my hand, picking it up and working it in with a brush before applying it to my face, it became so incredibly easy to apply!! Really long-lasting but glittery
I would have wanted a lighter shade, but it was sold out so I took Rose you slay, which is too dark for me. The product is REALLY glittery and resembles more of a highlighter than pure blush. If you want a matte blush, then skip this one. The tube cannot be screwed tightly, so the product can ooze out if the tube is at the bottom of the bag. It might get messy. This blends really easily and lasts surprisingly long. For me, it lasts easily all day without primer or setting spray. Glitter can emphasize skin texture, wrinkles, pimples, and dry spots. It's worth considering if you're not used to using glittery blush. The tube has 10 ml, so really a lot of product. #lykoreview2080 views
