1 monthverified customerStarts moving on the face
I tested this foundation together with the Elfin power grip primer, and at first, the base looked really good and even. It was also very easy to layer for added coverage. However, the foundation started moving on the face and made my oily skin look really dry. The makeup base looked absolutely terrible by the end of the day :( The skin was also very well hydrated under the primer, and no other foundations make it look that dry.2 likes2149 viewsJenniina
1 monthI tried it with a silicone-based primer and the foundation lasted much better, thanks for the tip! 😊

2 weeksverified customerSmall amount of product is sufficient
I have dry oily skin. Coverage is about medium and can also be layered a bit. The final result is matte and glowy depending on the primer, with my own primer being more glowy. The shade was really good and a small amount was enough for the whole face, about 2-2.5 pumps. Stays quite well throughout the day but does separate a bit around the nose during the day. It clings a bit to dryness even though the skin is well moisturized before application. Overall a good foundation, not bad but not super good either. #lykoreview1 likes383 viewsSandra
3 weeksWater-based?
Hi, I saw the previous comment where you said this product is silicone-based. Could you clarify how this is silicone-based when the first ingredient of the product is water, isn't this then water-based? 🥺 I would like to try this foundation, but I can only use water-based products. Also, on elf's own pages, it says that this is water-based: elfcosmetics.co.uk/discover/water-based-vs-silicone-based-makeup?srsltid=AfmBOoomThZ_3yWcdV1-O8H4eDSidzAl6BWO3yGeCdrS-X5Lsss4h_Xu1 likes380 viewsSini
Customer service at Lyko3 weeksHey Sandra, Thank you for your comment and your attention! 🤍 Generally, we actually define foundation based on the primary solvent, and this can be determined from the first ingredients on the INCI list 🤗 For liquid products, the first ingredient on the ingredient list is almost always water. This doesn’t necessarily tell us about the overall composition of a single product, and almost all silicone-based foundations also contain water 🙏🏻 Apparently, the third ingredient in this product is a silicone-like ingredient (Isododecane) and the fourth most commonly used silicone, which is dimethicone. Based on this, I have assessed that I wouldn’t classify the product as completely water-based. Of course, if the product manufacturer states this, it can absolutely be suitable to be used together with water-based products 🤩 In some cases, it may be beneficial to prefer only water- or silicone-based products in the same makeup routine, but please note that this is by no means a hard and fast rule 😌 It is therefore entirely possible that products made for different bases can be used together, and this often depends on the overall composition of the products as well as the methods and purposes of use. I hope this clarifies things a bit more, have a lovely day! 💖
