Good but not wow
✨ First impression Clean and simple design, just like the other Lumene products! 😍 Smells lovely of lemon and has a really rich and wonderful texture! 🍁 About me and my preferences I have curly, frizzy, and thick hair that needs all the moisture in the world! I use a hair mask at least once a week and wash my hair about twice a week. 🏵️ My thoughts and experiences Really love the wonderfully creamy texture! Very rich and economical 👌🏼 Hair feels super soft when I rinse it out. Easy and user-friendly tube, smooth to squeeze out the product. And it smells sooooo good!! 🤤🍋 I have used it almost exclusively as a hair mask, I thought it was a bit too thick to use as a leave-in! 🍁 Summary Good but not wow. I got to try this hair mask from #lumene. (My #lykoinflutester reviews are as honest as the reviews I write about products I have paid for.) Let's start with first impressions and claims from the brand... The product comes in a tube, which I think is good because it's easy to get most of the content out. The design on the tube is fairly nice and not too messy. However, I was disappointed when I saw that the product does not contain silicone. I thought most people were over the silicone scare by now and had already realized that silicones are actually excellent softeners and detanglers? The brand claims that this mask leaves the hair revitalized (whatever that means?), moisturized, soft, with a light feel. I always find it a bit icky when they talk about moisture because hair doesn't want moisture, hair wants ingredients that lay around the hair strand and protect... not "moisture." Using only words like "soft" and "detangling" would have been a correct way to describe conditioner products and not misleading. It's also worth mentioning about conditioner products that you absolutely don't need to use both hair mask and conditioner in the same shower... they are basically the same thing but have different thickness. Choose one per shower and save product. Moving on to my experience with use... This mask is very thick in consistency... too thick for my taste. It smells like a lemon-scented cleaning product or lozenge... not good. I don't understand why brands (especially Nordic brands) insist on either citrus, grass, or "clean" scents all the time?! Give me fruity, tropical scents... or at least some nice floral. Luckily, the scent is on the weaker side at least, so it doesn't linger intensely in the hair after washing. The result was okay... somewhat soft, but not enough. It's not the worst product I've tested, but far from the best. Quite a light feel at first, but I find the hair feels greasy the next day. OK as Leave-in - As a treatment, MEH
The scent is very fresh. The consistency is thick, almost feels like the majority is some kind of thickening agent. Which it also is as the second ingredient after water. It’s pleasant to use and makes hair easier to detangle after washing but I would definitely spend a little more for something better and more moisturizing. After a couple of washes with the treatment included each time, I recently tried using it as a leave-in as well and noticed the best effect there. Not heavy or greasy at all. After washing, the hair feels airy and light, even though I used the whole series (shampoo, treatment, and conditioner – also tried using the treatment as a leave-in and I can recommend that), the hair doesn’t feel weighed down at all which I find very positive – especially since my scalp tends to get oily quite quickly. I often have problems with my scalp and can easily get flakes and sometimes even sores. Trying new products like these can be difficult but the product felt mild and pleasant, I don’t feel my problems got 'worse' from trying it but neither did they get better. My hair type is thin strands, quite thin hair, bleached and therefore dry ends but prone to oily roots. To start with, I love the packaging, who doesn't love blue?💙 Then I think the scent is mild & smells just right. I have very dry hair that has gone through many treatments, bleaching, etc. My hair therefore needs a lot of moisture, which this really provides! This series of hair products from Lumene has been great for my hair! They give the moisture my hair needs. Excellent hair mask for everyday use
Product received as part of #lykoinflutester #lumene product testing The hair mask is very thick straight from the jar but spreads well and effortlessly through the hair, almost as if it melts with the warmth of the hand when applied. The product has a pleasant scent – it smells like the other products in the series. It spreads well in the hair and doesn’t feel heavy after washing. It seems to moisturize the hair better than conditioner, so there is clearly a functional difference between the products. I have thick hair, but relatively fine and straight, and treated with bleach, and the hair still feels suitably airy and moisturized after using the hair mask. Since my hair is blonde, I have used this instead of conditioner, and I believe the product would also work well on naturally coarser hair as a conditioner. The product doesn’t get a full five stars because I have used better hair masks, although this product has also been very pleasant and easy to use in everyday life. Perfect after detox shampoo 👌🏼
As a #lykoinflutester, I have used three products from #lumene, and one of them is this incredibly moisturizing hair mask, which you can see in the video has a thick and creamy consistency 👏🏼. Together with the other products, it’s too much for my bleached and thin hair. 😅 But when I use the detox shampoo from Kevin Murphy, it’s perfect! Because the hair gets really dry from the detox. 🌱 The mask can also be used as a leave-in, but for me, it didn’t work well. I used about half a pea in the ends, but unfortunately, the hair just looked oily. I think it suits those of you with thick hair well 🤗 I think the whole series has a nice blue design and is definitely moisturizing! I almost give the mask full marks because it fits so well when I use stronger shampoos and because it smells wonderful, plus the price is nice for all three products. You get a lot for your money! Perfectly moisturizing
I have used this both as a hair mask and as a leave-in conditioner, and it quickly became one of my favorite products. I have thin, surface-dry, and easily frizzy hair that also tangles easily. That's why I appreciate products that moisturize effectively but don't make the hair heavy or greasy. The best thing about this product is that it moisturizes just right. The hair feels softer, frizz is noticeably reduced, and tangles are much easier to detangle. I have especially used it as a leave-in conditioner, and in that use, I think it works excellently. Good hair mask for this price range. Plus that you can use it either as a mask in the shower or as a leave-in conditioner. However, the product is quite thick, so you should only use a small amount if you don’t want trouble rinsing it out. Introduction My first impression of the product was quite neutral. The concept of a product that can be used both as a mask in the shower and as a leave-in afterwards sounds like a convenient idea, but the packaging and the feel in the hand did not stand out noticeably compared to the rest of the series. The fact that the product is a 2-in-1 definitely makes it versatile, but for me, it was not a direct experience. The usage was okay, it smells as fresh as the shampoo and conditioner and is easy to distribute. At the same time, it feels a bit heavy; as a leave-in, you have to be very careful not to use too much, and as a mask, it was neither complicated nor particularly luxurious. About me👱♀️ As mentioned, I have hair with a bit of natural wave that is bleached and therefore quite dry. I almost never use hair masks but almost always a leave-in. Result I don’t think this delivers as a leave-in. As a hair mask, it’s not so wow. The hair did become soft afterwards, but I actually noticed no bigger difference compared to just using the series without the mask. It does the job okay if you just want a little extra softness, but it’s not something I feel I need to have in my routine again. Multi-use product
This hair mask can be used in two different ways: either as a hair mask or as a leave-in conditioner. So far, I have used it as a leave-in conditioner because I wanted to use all the products in the series together. The first time, I applied way too much product to my damp hair, and the result was that my freshly washed hair looked dirty immediately after drying. So as a leave-in conditioner, this product should be used very sparingly. I learned that a very small amount, about the size of a fingertip, is appropriate. For my hair type, this product was not very effective at least as a leave-in conditioner. My hair needs more care and moisture, but since you can only apply a very small amount to the hair, its effect was perhaps somewhat insufficient. Moisturizing bomb
I've tried this both as a leave-in and a hair mask, it's really nice with 2 in 1💧 I would say I prefer it as a hair mask and find it very fast-acting, sometimes I don't have the patience to wait for my hair mask to fully work in the shower so I usually leave it on for max 2 minutes and still feel I get an incredibly soft and moisturized result with this🥳 As a leave-in, it's a bit too thick for my taste and feels a bit more than I want. As an #lykoinflutester I got the chance to try the Hydra Moisture Boost 2-in-1 Hair Mask by #lumene and I was positively surprised. To start with I liked the light blue package that gives clean vibes. The scent is heavenly, exactly my type of scent. It's a mild, summery lemon scent. It's not strong and doesn't stay on the hair which i see as a positive thing, especially for people who cannot tolerate strong smells. I have dry ends but untreated hair. I think that this mask is a game changer. My hair got very soft and very easy to comb. After drying i was very happy to see how shiny my hair has been.
