Doesn't hold up
The makeup didn't hold up as it should, sticky and gooey feeling on the skin. The only advantage is that it suited my dry/sensitive skin. I was actually really impressed by this primer – it truly makes makeup adhere better and last longer throughout the day. It has a light, gel-like texture that absorbs quickly without feeling heavy or sticky. I find that my skin feels hydrated while the makeup stays more “in place” and looks smoother. However, it can feel a bit “grippy” right after application, but that’s exactly what helps the makeup last better. Keeps the base in place
I tested the NYX Professional Makeup Face Glue Primer and I really like how well it keeps the makeup in place. It gives a nice "grip" and keeps the base in place all day. I have tested this several times. It sinks in quickly and easily, leaving a sticky finish that foundation adheres well to. I find that my skin gets a bit oily by the end of the day. I could see myself buying it again as a good budget option. Fantastic grip, lasts all day!
I have now tested The Face Glue Primer and am impressed by its "grip". The consistency is a bit uniquely sticky upon application, but in a positive way as it really makes the foundation sit like a mold all day. It is easy to distribute evenly and I appreciate that you can apply makeup directly on top without waiting. It provides a nice base that hides imperfections without feeling heavy on the skin.
