Sustainable, Beautiful Result!
I’ve been tasked with testing The Face Glue Primer - This one delivers on its promises. The makeup sits so beautifully! Lasts all day. I’ve used this before. Nice, smooth tube. I use it every time I do my makeup. So incredibly satisfied! Huge thanks to NYX PROFESSIONAL MAKEUP for an amazing product 🩷 Applies all over the face. Absorbs quickly. Lovely, slightly creamy consistency. Feels smooth upon application. Comfortable. Fragrance-free. Needs a little. Doesn’t smudge & stick. Gives a nice glow. Hydrating. Affordable. You either love it or hate it
2 stars for the product because it is odorless/neutral, so it suits many in that regard, plus it is also economical and affordable, but unfortunately, the product was not suitable for me. The packaging reminds me too much of a real glue tube, which I don't like, and I even see it as a safety risk as a mother. However, I do understand the idea behind the "fun" and attention-grabbing packaging design. I am 34. I have surface-dry and quite reactive skin. It feels like it was difficult to work with the product, and the stickiness is perhaps the worst sensory irritation that cosmetics can have, whether it’s lip gloss, body lotion, etc. So this sticky consistency was definitely a big no for my taste. The product is colorless, so it suits any skin tone, which is a good thing, but unfortunately, this is a product I wouldn’t reach for in the store based on the packaging, and this testing confirmed that this is just not the right product for me, and I am not its target audience. Generally, I also hope that my primers can blur and smooth out pores as well as fine lines. This does not do that. I just ordered, but I'm worried if it will work with the Lumene cc cream foundation since this is water-based? NYX The Face Glue Primer works great with Lumene CC Cream, even though it's water-based. The sticky primer helps the base to adhere and look nice all day ✨ 💡 Tip: Let the primer set for about 30-60 seconds before applying the CC cream and work it in thin layers for best results. If you want other bases that match the primer extra well, there are e.g. Maybelline Fit Me, MAC Studio Fix Fluid, or Estée Lauder Double Wear, all work great with Face Glue 💛 Take care now 🤗
