Sustainable, Beautiful Result!
I’ve been tasked with testing The Face Glue Primer - This one delivers on its promises. The makeup sits so beautifully! Lasts all day. I’ve used this before. Nice, smooth tube. I use it every time I do my makeup. So incredibly satisfied! Huge thanks to NYX PROFESSIONAL MAKEUP for an amazing product 🩷 Applies all over the face. Absorbs quickly. Doesn't hold up
The makeup didn't hold up as it should, sticky and gooey feeling on the skin. The only advantage is that it suited my dry/sensitive skin. In some cases, the feeling can be affected by how much product is applied or how it is combined with skincare and primer underneath. Sometimes it can help to use a smaller amount or to let the skincare sink in properly before application. It's great to hear that it still worked well for your dry and sensitive skin. 💚 Okay, I really get the hype around this primer!
I was actually really impressed by NYX The Face Glue! The first thing you notice is that slightly gel-like feeling when you apply it. It almost feels like the skin gets a thin “grip” right away, which might sound a bit strange – but that’s exactly what makes it so interesting. 😂 I usually take a fairly small amount and spread it over my face before applying foundation. You really don’t need much, which I like because otherwise I tend to overdo it with primer. What I like the most is how the makeup feels afterwards. Foundation and concealer really have something to hold onto, and I think the base looks more even and well done. I especially like that feeling when you look in the mirror a few hours later and the makeup still feels in place. ✨ Despite the name, I actually don’t find it annoyingly sticky. It definitely has a grippy feel, but for me, it’s more part of the experience than something bothersome. I also appreciate that it feels moisturizing under the makeup. That makes the primer not just feel like an “extra step” for longevity, but actually contributes to the base feeling nicer on the skin. 🤍 One thing I really like is that I don’t have to stand and wait forever before continuing with my makeup. That makes it very convenient when I just want to get my base done without making the whole process unnecessarily long. And 35 ml actually feels like a good amount, especially since I only need a little each time. This is definitely a primer I will keep using when I want my makeup to stay put and still look nice later in the day. Not good at all
All the hype around this primer and setting spray was a big disappointment. The primer is light and thin to apply, but no matter how short/long you wait for it to dry, the foundation settles into the pores. The foundation tends to get patchy and the skin becomes dry.
