Question
Hi! Does this help to remove red spots after pimples?Translated from norwegian
82 views- Customer service at Lyko1 weekHey there😊 This product from The Ordinary is designed to provide gentle exfoliation, which can help even out skin tone and reduce the visibility of both hyperpigmentation and redness (post-inflammatory erythema) that can often occur after acne. How can it help with red spots? Exfoliation: Mandelic Acid removes dead skin cells from the surface, which over time can ease the skin's regeneration process and reduce red spots. Gentleness: The product is often considered one of the milder acids since mandelic acid has a larger molecular size, making it gentler on sensitive skin. Tips for use: Start with applying 1-2 times a week and gradually increase if the skin tolerates it well. Apply to clean, dry skin. Then follow up with a moisturizer. Remember to use sun protection (SPF) daily when using acids, as the skin can become more sensitive to sun damage. Be patient – even though you can often see a slight improvement quickly, it may take a few weeks before you notice a bigger difference in red acne scars or spots. Hi! According to Ordinary's guide, you can use this serum in the same routine as the niacinamide serum, but in what order should I use it? Right now, I'm doing cleansing, toner, niacinamide serum, and then moisturizer. Where does this serum fit in, and how much should I take at a time?Translated from swedish

Very gentle but still works!
I use this mainly for ingrown hairs and discoloration. The product soothes irritation, does a great job at preventing ingrowns, and lightens hyperpigmentation gently. Definitely recommend as an alternative to harsher AHA's.59 viewsto leave a comment - 10 monthsverified customer
meh!
i incorporated this into my routine for a few months and felt it didn’t really make any difference. i’ve struggled with sebum in the pores on my nose and thought mandelic acid could maybe do the trick since i also have dry/sensitive skin but i found it didn’t really change anything at all. the product itself is nice and light, you can mix it into your moisturizer or apply directly on the skin. no noticeable scent, not too greasy.49 viewsto leave a comment
The OrdinaryDirect AcidsMandelic Acid 10% + HA 30 ml
With AHA and Hyaluronic Acid.
Mandelic Acid 10% + HA offers superficial dermal peeling that is gentler than other alpha hydroxy acids. The molecular weight of mandelic acid is 152.1 daltons which is larger than other alpha hydroxy acids (glycolic acid is 76.0 daltons, for example). This larger size allows mandelic acid to penetrate the skin more slowly which in turn makes it very gentle and suitable for all skin types including the most sensitive skin. You don't need a concentration of more than 10%, because then you would simply be achieving an indirect peeling strength that is more easily offered through lower percentages of glycolic acid.
Use:
Apply once per day, ideally in the PM. Can be diluted with other treatments to reduce strength until skin develops tolerance. Avoid contact with eyes. If irritation persists, discontinue use and consult a physician. Use only as directed. Contact of the product with the skin must be of limited frequency or duration.
