I had this toner sitting in the drawer for a couple of months and used it a bit here and there by spraying it on a cotton pad. I thought at the time that it didn’t do much. Last night, however, I got tired of the bumps I’ve had on my forehead for a while and decided to go for it. 🍋✨ A mild exfoliating toner that makes the skin smoother!
I’ve really gotten hooked on COSRX AHA/BHA Clarifying Treatment Toner! This is a toner I like when I want my skin to feel cleaner, more even, and a bit more glowing, without going straight for a super strong acid product. 🥹✨ The great thing is that it combines AHA and BHA with botanical ingredients to help remove dead skin cells and impurities while hydrating the skin. It’s especially interesting for oilier or acne-prone skin. I also really like the spray bottle. 😂 It sounds like a small detail, but it makes the routine so much easier. I can either spray it on a cotton pad and swipe over the skin, or spray directly into my hands and pat it in for a gentler exfoliation. What I notice most is that the skin feels smoother and cleaner, and I think it can give a nice glow over time. Several Lyko users describe exactly more even skin, less redness, and softer skin after regular use. At the same time, I wouldn’t call it a miracle for acne or pigmentation. A Lyko Creator who recently reviewed it thought the skin became more even and smoother but didn’t experience any major effect specifically on acne or pigmentation spots. ⚠️ One thing I really want to be clear about: since it exfoliates, I wouldn’t automatically use it multiple times a day. If you have dry or sensitive skin, it can become irritating. One Lyko user, for example, found it too drying and only used it once a week. I therefore think 2–3 times a week in the evening is a good cautious start. And if you use it during the day, SPF is extra important because exfoliating acids can make the skin more sensitive to the sun. Lyko recommends broad-spectrum SPF 30 or higher for daytime use. 150 ml is also a good size, and the spray format makes it very easy to dose. Love the packaging!
This toner from cosrx is amazing because of the packaging! 🙌 Positives: - Love the spray format. Many other toners you have to hold in your hands first, which makes the routine sticky and annoying – so love spray! - Makes the skin smoother and more even! Does this work under makeup?
I use a toner that is moisturizing as the first step in my routine. Is this one moisturizing? Right now, I’m using two toners from Hickap: one before I put on makeup (Mermaid mantle deep hydrating toner) and another one in the evening (clear canvas clarifying toner), but I’m looking for a toner I can use for both occasions to save money. Would you recommend this one, or do you have another toner you can recommend that is moisturizing and purifies the skin? I felt like it didn’t do much for me, yes it made my skin feel cleaner and the pores a bit less visible, but as soon as I stopped using it, I felt my skin condition quickly went back to how it was before. I also don’t recommend it if you have very dry skin because it can easily irritate the skin. The same goes for those with sensitive skin. I used it once a week.
