This is the best niacinamide and glycerin product on the market in all categories!!

I have written about Niactil before for the old packaging. Thankfully, the formula has been allowed to remain unchanged because it is so good, so good, so good that it can't be made better. I have been using this since the product came out on the Swedish market, so it has been more than 10 years. It is a staple in my arsenal, and I use it every day. Niactil is a dry and moisture-deprived skin's best friend! It provides both a lot of moisture and enough moisture-binding and softening glycerin to also help a dry and dehydrated skin retain moisture. And it is a perfect base to use before applying your moisturizing cream or oil. Many moisture-binding products are far too watery and thin to give a dry skin the help it needs. But Niactil does what most others can't. The niacinamide soothes redness and evens out skin tone and also leads to a softer appearance of the pores in the long run. If you are worried as a dry skin about Niactil containing salicylic acid, you don't need to be, because the amount is small, and together with the glycerin and niacinamide, the possibility of irritation is counteracted. At least that's how I experience it. Niactil also has the amount of niacinamide that has the best evidence regarding good effect without irritation. So overall, Niactil is also a product that helps a lot for skin that easily becomes red and irritated and is rosacea-friendly. It is simply a little lifesaver in need that keeps the skin in fine balance and also serves as a perfect base under makeup. I also use it as a buffer when I use prescription tretinoin cream because I have dry and sensitive skin, and the combination is almost perfect. Nowadays, they have made a new variant that is lighter, which some with oilier skin types might find better. But this one is really universal, so if you are unsure which one suits your skin best, my suggestion is to try this one first if you want something with a little more oomph. For those who do not have a bad skin barrier or are super dry like me, you can probably even sometimes get away with using Niactil alone.. Considering that you get 100 ml and the company Elixir, now Face Formula, has also kept the price at the same level it has been for many years - which I think they deserve all the credit for. In short, this is the product of everything I use that I will never replace. It is a perfect formula!

    A Favorite

This is a favorite of mine and a product I always come back to! Because I have quite dry skin, I use it as a serum under moisturizer, and it works like a dream ✨ If you have somewhat sensitive skin, I recommend using it every other night at first like I do so the skin gets used to it, and you can enjoy all the great effects and glow without discomfort or side effects. I love how much moisture and glow this gives me, how dryness lines become less visible, it helps with pigmentation, acne, redness, and acne scars. A great multi-product 🙌🏼

    Love the product

Fantastic product but annoying that the tube shrinks while keeping the price when the brand changes its name. It is an expensive product from the start.

Is it okay to use with Finacea?

Hi! Can this be used in the same skincare routine as Finacea 15% (prescription Azelaic Acid)? How should I use these? I have sensitive, dry & combination skin (enlarged pores & oily T-zone). I use Finacea as prescribed by my dermatologist for Perioral Dermatitis, who recommended using it in the evening. Is it then okay to use this in the morning before my barrier serum & face cream+spf? I also use Retinal once a week as I’m introducing it into my routine. On evenings when I use Retinal, I don’t use Finacea, but is it okay to use Niactil in the morning after a Retinal evening? I appreciate any help I can get! 😊🌸

Hi Therese 😊 It’s fine to use this in the morning and then your Finacea in the evening. It’s also fine to use this if you use retinal in the evening before! Have a nice day! 🌼

    Wonderful product!!⚡️

This cream has actually been a steady favorite of mine since 2017, so that says a lot! 🥰✨ I remember it was out of stock for a while, and I searched a long time for something to replace it – but nothing gave me the same immediate glow 🥹💛 What I love about it is that it gives lots of moisture and a really nice glow right away. The skin simply looks fresher and more radiant ✨😍 It feels light on the skin but still provides good moisture. A big plus is that the tube is a whole 100 ml, so it lasts a long time 👏🥰 I often use it as a kind of serum before I apply Dermalogica Skin Smoothing Cream on top, and that combination works great for my skin to get lots of moisture 💛 #konkurranseinflutester

    Hi

Can this be used together with retinal?

Hi Jill 😊 Yes, this generally works well to use together with retinal. Since Niactil also contains salicylic acid, the combination can feel a bit active for sensitive or unaccustomed skin at first, so it can be good to introduce the products gradually. Many choose to use Niactil in the morning and retinal in the evening, but they also work fine in the same routine if the skin tolerates it. Have a nice day! 🌼

    Any difference?

Hi! Is it the same product as in the picture? 🙈 I have sensitive skin and got the one in the picture recommended by you here at Lyko and it has worked so well. So now I hope you haven't stopped selling it.

    DIFFERENCES?

What is the difference between Clinisoothe Skin Purifier 100 ml and Face Formula Nicatil?

Hi Helena 😊 Clinisoothe Skin Purifier and Face Formula Nicatil mainly differ in how they work with the skin and the results they are intended to provide. Clinisoothe Skin Purifier, which is more like a toner, is a very simple, soothing product primarily used to quickly calm irritation, redness, and sensitivity. It acts more as support for the skin when it is stressed or unbalanced and helps create a clean and calm skin environment. Face Formula Nicatil, on the other hand, is a serum that works more long-term with the skin’s structure and balance. It contains niacinamide and is aimed at reducing redness over time, evening out skin tone, and improving pores and sebum production. It fits better as a treatment product in a routine where you want to see gradual improvements. These can also be used well in the same routine; use Clinisoothe first as a toner and then Nicatil as a serum. Have a nice day! 🌼

Hejsan Anette!☺️ It can definitely work well on atopic skin ☁️ Niactil contains niacinamide which helps to soothe the skin and strengthen the skin barrier. However, it also contains a bit of salicylic acid, so if your skin is very dry or irritated, I would recommend starting gently, for example 2-3 days a week during your evening routine 💫 Take care!

Hi Kirsi 👋🏻 First and foremost, this is a really great serum! My best tip when using a serum with active ingredients is to go for a cream that is a bit gentler. I really like this one from Kiehls, and it comes in different sizes if you want to try a smaller one to start with lyko.com/sv/kiehls/kiehls-ultra-facial-cream-50ml

Hi! I wonder if it's okay to use this gel under Face Formula Balancing Hydration Cream, meaning to combine them in the same routine? Thanks 😊
