Wella was started in Germany in 1880, by hairdresser Frans Stroher. Since then, Wella has been a passionate and creative manufacturer of hair care products, with a curiosity and expertise that is the reason for many revolutionary products. Today, Wella is one of the world's largest hair care brands with more than 4 million Wella hairdressers and millions of satisfied customers worldwide.
I was lucky enough to be assigned as a #lykoinflutester to try out a series of hair products from #WellaProfessionals. It's their Ultimate Smooth series, which includes shampoo, conditioner, hair mask, and hair serum. If you're curious about the other products, my reviews are up to read, but here we have now come to the last step, namely the Hair Serum ✨️
I have quite long hair, typically Scandinavian and bleached with color residues. I think my hair is healthy, and I have no problems with frizz or anything like that. Maybe I'm not the best test person, but I have tried 😊 And the truth is that my expectations were exceeded.
Since I have "Scandinavian hair", it is already smooth and shiny. So dry shampoos and texture sprays are my type of products, and I have had a bit of fear that a hair serum would just enhance the smooth, shiny feeling and possibly make the hair feel greasy. So I haven't used any such product, and I don't use any heat tools, so I don't need any heat protection either.
This hair serum is apparently a "hair oil in serum form", and I find it very light, which I like! I use it after I've washed my hair in towel-dried hair, take a few pumps, and spread it over the ends and lengths. Then I brush through and let it air dry. I think the serum disappears nicely into the hair, and I don't find it greasy! When it has dried, it also smells lovely of jasmine and vanilla, and just that is a reason for me to want to use it.
I don't know if I can say that I've been won over to the other side and have now become a hair serum enthusiast, but I actually like this product. I don't know much about this type of hair product since it's quite new to me, but based on what I've experienced, I would still dare to recommend it 😍

As a #lykoinflutester, I have been tasked with testing a series of hair products from #WellaProfessionals. It is their Ultimate Smooth series, which contains squalane and omega-9 and is supposed to smooth, nourish, and add shine. My reviews for the shampoo and conditioner are already up, and now we have come to the Hair Mask ✨️
A bit about my hair is that it is quite long, typically Scandinavian, and blonde. I think my hair is healthy and nice, and when I shampoo it, I focus a lot on the scalp. I apply the conditioner to the entire hair, and I used this hair mask in the lengths. I have used the hair mask as step 3, after shampoo and conditioner, because that was what I read was recommended. In other cases, I have heard that hair mask goes before conditioner, but I don’t know 🤭
I have used the products from the Ultimate Smooth series together, and I think there is a point in doing this because it feels like the products complement each other. As I wrote about the conditioner, it was a bit thinner, but this mask is thickkkk and delicious! Just how I want a hair mask to be. It feels very nourishing and it also smells really good of jasmine and vanilla. I let it sit in my hair while I do everything else you’re supposed to do in the shower, 10-15 minutes. I think the longer, the better.
Afterwards, my hair is easy to brush out, I actually notice a big difference compared to when I don’t use it. I also think this mask would stand nicely on its own, without the other products in the series. I have like nothing to complain about! 😂 The price might be a bit high, but I still think a product like a hair mask can be worth spending a little extra money on 😊

I’ve been lucky enough to test a series of hair products through #lykoinflutester, and it’s the Wella Professionals Ultimate Smooth series. It’s apparently designed to detox the hair from metals, and this conditioner is supposed to smooth, moisturize, and add shine. I’ve only used these products together, and after writing a review on the shampoo, we’ve now come to the conditioner! ✨️
I have relatively long and typically Scandinavian hair, with many but thin hair strands. Honestly, most conditioners usually work pretty well for me, and I’m not that picky.
This conditioner comes in a tube-shaped bottle with a snap lid. This means the bottle stands upside down, which has its pros and cons. The advantages are that the product is always close to the opening and thus easy to get out, and that the bottle stands steadily. However, I consider it a disadvantage that water collects in the lid of all bottles designed this way, and that’s something I don’t like, so I usually keep the bottle standing the wrong way 🙃
Now to the actual content. While the shampoo felt rich and concentrated, this conditioner feels thinner. Not directly in consistency, but when you apply it to the hair, it just feels quite non-concentrated and as if not much is happening. BUT you actually notice that it still does something when you start rinsing the product out, and then it turns out that the effect wasn’t so bad after all. Tip: you don’t need to slather on double the amount of conditioner even though it first feels that way 😋 Also, the series is designed to work together with a hair mask, so I can see how they thought of a slightly lighter conditioner and a richer mask. The products complement each other well!
The scent is very nice with hints of jasmine and vanilla, and it lingers like a shadow a few days after the hair has been washed. I don’t think it smells too much; for me, it could even have been a bit more 😊
All in all, I think this was a pretty okay conditioner, but I wasn’t as impressed as with the shampoo. As I wrote, I can see how it fits in with the other products in the series, but on its own, it unfortunately doesn’t stand quite as firmly. The verdict is: pretty okay, but no new favorite.
