A super product!!
I am super satisfied with the Mamonde Pore Shrinker Bakuchiol Cream. I have been using the cream for about 2 weeks and I think there is a clear difference in both pore size and skin texture. My skin feels smoother, firmer, and the pores look smaller, something I previously had a hard time finding a product that actually lives up to. After regular use, I find that my skin is smoother, there are fewer visible pores, and a healthier glow. A bit about my skin: I have sensitive, quite dry, super acne-prone skin, and I can confirm that after 2 weeks of use, I have not had any new breakouts!! The cream exfoliates gently, and I feel that my skin feels hydrated and balanced without irritation. I also like that the formula is mild enough to be used during the day, which makes it much more flexible than other retinol creams I have tried. Additionally, the packaging is super nice and feels very luxurious. Overall, I think this is a really effective but gentle cream that lives up to its promises. This is a completely new brand being introduced in Europe, and I am so grateful that I have had the chance to test this product for a while now and give a review on this 🫶🏼 This time, the products did not pass the test as desired due to several reasons that I will explain below. It will be a bit repetitive, but that is because I have difficulty distinguishing which product has given what. However, the positive properties are different for each product as it was clearer for me to review ☺️ SEASON DURING TEST: • Early autumn I think it is important to include this as the skin changes at least for me during this period: SKIN TYPE DURING TEST PERIOD: • Surface dry • Sensitive • Oily in the T-zone POSITIVE PROPERTIES 💚 • Keeps my dry skin hydrated all day • No strong scent • Works nicely as a night mask with a thicker layer • Feels mild and gentle on the skin OVERALL RESULT: I cannot determine which of the 3 products I have tested has irritated my skin. But as you can see in the pictures, I have gotten a lot of pimples/outbreaks. (to be me) However, my feeling is that it is not this product that has contributed to that as it feels very mild. But as I said, very uncertain. At the same time, I cannot say that it is just the products that have done this as the weather change from summer to autumn can irritate the skin. So after about two weeks of use, I have had to give up and put in the mildest skincare I have to let my skin rest and stabilize. So I find it hard to give a clear review this time, and I will probably let other amazing Lykoinfluencers help guide you right this time. When I first saw the Mamonde Bakuchiol Cream, I became curious about the combination of bakuchiol and retinol. The packaging is simple and fresh, and the product gave the impression of being made for visible pores and uneven skin texture. This is something I am trying to improve. I was excited to see if it could actually make a difference. The cream absorbs quickly without feeling heavy or greasy and feels pleasant on the skin. It does not peel off under makeup. It did not cause irritation, but I used it a bit more gradually since it contains retinol. The promise of «pore shrinking» might be a big claim, but I think my pores appeared a little less visible. I am young with combination skin. I tend to get small breakouts and am therefore always on the lookout for products that balance the skin without drying it out or making me shiny. After a couple of weeks of use, my skin felt more even, and the texture was less rough. I experienced fewer small breakouts, and my makeup applied a bit nicer. The pores did not disappear, but they became a little less noticeable. It spreads beautifully on the face and gives a lovely glow. I've been using this cream for a few weeks, and it has really surprised me. The consistency is quite rich, but still soft – it glides on easily and feels almost silky, and then it melts into the skin without leaving a greasy layer. I still usually put a moisturizer + SPF on top. I really like this product, but it’s also my first product with retinol in it. Would definitely recommend. As part of #lykoinflutester, I got to try this Mamonde – Bakuchiol Cream “Pore Shrinker”. A bakuchiol cream is typically a milder alternative to retinol, better for sensitive skin and often less irritating. When it says “Pore Shrinker,” it means it aims to make pores less visible by improving skin texture over time. You need to be patient! I have a few pros and cons: Pros: it’s so good for beginners who want to try texture improvement without the irritation of retinol. Additionally, it can help provide a more even skin texture with regular use. Cons: Results with bakuchiol are typically more subtle and take longer than normal retinol. But it’s gentler on the skin. Pore Shrinker Bakuchiol Cream – #mamonde #lykotestpilot As part of #lykotestpilot-programmet, I got to test several products from Mamonde – and among them was the Pore Shrinker Bakuchiol Cream. The testing period was from November 1 to 14, 2025. First impression: This came in travel-size, but the design resembles the original: purple with a hint of mint green – the same style as the Flora Glow Rose Liquid Mask. You can clearly see that they come from the same brand. The design gives me funky vibes, almost like a modern lava lamp with a touch of the 70s. The cream is thick and marketed as suitable for sensitive skin. It should be applied morning and night, and stroked in the natural direction of the skin – which made me think: What is actually my skin's natural structure? 😅 I became curious about how my pores actually look, so I ended up watching some YouTube videos and had a little Q&A session with my girlfriends – we were all a bit unsure, haha. I also checked the ingredients to see if they suited my skin type. Skin status during the testing period: Redness in cheeks and T-zone Dry skin Pimples and blemishes, especially on the chin Sensitive skin Before this, I had no fixed skincare routine – just a day cream (Lumene Nordic Bloom Anti-Wrinkle & Firm Day Moisturizer). I also used two other Mamonde products at the same time: Flora Glow Rose Liquid Mask Amazing Deep Mint Cleansing Balm Conclusion: Unfortunately, this cream was not quite for me. My skin felt a bit "congested", and I didn't notice any miraculous improvement in my pores. At a price of 459 kr, I expected more. I applied it both morning and night, but I think maybe once a day would have been enough. I also had some breakouts during the testing period, but I can't say for sure that it was this cream that caused it. All in all: Not my favorite. I had the chance to try some products from MAMONDE that recently came in at Lyko, and I was actually positively surprised. After about one to two weeks of use, I noticed that my skin looked more even and the pores around my nose became less visible. The consistency of the cream is really nice, it melts into the skin without feeling heavy or sticky. However, I noticed that my skin could get a little bit red when I used it every day. I usually tolerate similar ingredients without any issues, but this cream still gave me a bit of mild irritation sometimes. So if you are sensitive, I would recommend starting to use it every other day and then increasing as needed.
