I have blonde hair with natural waves that has many fine strands that together become very thick. The hair is quite dry, and I have been on vacation with sun and saltwater, so it needs all the moisture it can get. I regularly use products to rehydrate and "repair" the hair. It’s a small plastic bottle with a pump, and it comes in the same colors as the shampoo and conditioner in the same line. It’s practical in size, but since I need many pumps (6-8), I don’t think it will last particularly long for me. The scent is not a new favorite, but it doesn’t smell bad, and the scent fades quickly. This serum should be applied to towel-dried hair after washing. I must say that when I applied it, I had no high expectations for the serum. It felt a bit like it was disappearing into the hair, and I needed a lot of product. I then used "Beat the heat" as heat protection as usual and blow-dried my hair. However, I must say that the hair felt very soft and shiny afterward. I mean that in relation to how it usually feels if I only use Beat the heat. It feels like the hair is soaking up this serum, says thank you, and rewards me with hair that is less frizzy and stays smooth. I have taken a few drops of oil in the ends on days two and three, but it was hardly necessary. The summary is: This is a serum that I absolutely think does its job. Not "powerful" enough for my hair.
I took the opportunity to buy this when Lyko had a crazy big discount, about 2 months ago. My hair is coarse and curly. And needs all the help it can get to not be dry. So with my hair's starting condition, this is not "powerful" enough. With curly hair like mine, which has so much structure on the hair strands. I need a product that probably has a thicker consistency (since this one is quite thin in consistency), and probably has more fat in it. I have gradually tested the amount. Neither 8 nor 12 pumps were enough. The last few times I have taken 16 pumps! And then complemented with quite a bit of hair oil. The serum was, however, easy to pump out and apply. Nice bottle! The serum left no "film" or sticky feeling on the hair. I found it to be quite scent-free. At least I didn't notice any particular scent. I can imagine that the serum is suitable for those who do not have such coarse hair strands, or such dry hair as I have. I have thin, lightly curly hair that needs extra moisture, and this after washing has helped with that. It's a bit hard to determine just its effect since it's part of a routine. I take quite a little since my hair easily gets greasy from such products, but I don't think this one makes it greasy. I only apply it to the lengths. Works...but
The packaging has an incredibly nice color!! Additionally, I am incredibly satisfied with the open and close function. It seems like it really locks and can't easily twist open during travel, big plus! Also in thick plastic, so it seems like it can withstand a fall. The only downside is that when I received the package, both the conditioner from this series and this one had some air bubbles under the plastic label that I absolutely can't get out. It doesn't look so nice, but it doesn't interfere with the function. But not so aesthetically appealing. The consistency of the product itself doesn't have a typical serum consistency? It's neither transparent nor watery. This reminds me more of a body lotion or leave-in conditioner in consistency. The scent is not very strong, so I would say it's mild but reminds me of something I can't quite put my finger on? but a nostalgic feeling. I used 4-6 pumps of it on towel-dried hair before I applied Caia's heat protectant and blow-dried it. Before the serum, I used silver shampoo and conditioner from this series by ByLyko. I have added a before and after picture. Here you can see that moisture has been added. But I'm unsure if this is a new favorite. I probably need to use it longer. But absolutely a usable product! The price is also very reasonable for the wallet. I have tried this product #bylyko for #lykoinflutester now for about 3 weeks and here’s what I think! The first impression was that the packaging was very nice, I like the design! Maybe the pump feels a bit cheap. The scent is fresh! Smells clean and refreshing. The consistency is quite light which I like since thicker products can weigh down my hair as I have quite "fine" and thin strands, but many💇🏼♀️ I find it a bit hard to determine exactly what this does for my hair since I use it in combination with other products. But I think it’s a lovely product to have in the lengths before I blow-dry 🥰, though I need about 3-4 pumps per use, so I think it will run out pretty quickly unfortunately.1172 views - The user's roll: Lyko Creator. As a LYKOINFLUTESTER, I got to try some products from BYLYKO namely Beyond blond silver shampoo, Dry hydration Conditioner, and then this serum. My hair type: Scandinavian blonde hair, thick with many fine hair strands. Needs a lot of moisture to prevent frizzy hair. A lot of moisture, mirror-like hair, and frizz-free lengths? That’s the description on the website which I unfortunately do not experience at all myself. I need a whole lot of pumps for it to be enough for my hair, at least 7 I would say. But for the first ones, it doesn’t feel like it really sinks into my hair. When you rub it with your hands, it becomes an incredibly strange formula. Almost the feeling of having taken sunscreen and rubbed it in your hands. I don’t like it at all… The scent is not as obvious as the conditioner and I think they should have the same scent. But a slightly silly version of the conditioner in that case. Because the scent of the conditioner in this series is magical! Not heat protecting which is always a big plus. This didn’t become a favorite for me, but I do like the function that you can "lock" it by turning the pump all the way up. This makes it possible to take it with you on the go without worrying that it will leak. But that was also almost the only good thing about it. It will not be used up…1719 views
