Cinderella, throw yourself against the wall!

Yes, here comes a product that beats the beauty sleep of Disney princesses, and everything else they might have up their sleeves with horse lengths! Make room for the princess of beauty products πŸ€—πŸ’• Got a tip about this from my best Linda in my beautyscan, and I am very grateful for it! It promises a lot, but holds more, I dare say! I've been using this for a few weeks now and will never want to be without it! It feels soft as velvet when I apply it. It doesn't smell special. I'm a sucker for skincare products that smell good, but I can forgive it because it's so good πŸ˜ƒ I've had a tendency to acne before and sometimes get a few new pimples. But this seems to have scared them away permanently with scare tactics Γ  la Guantanamo 😜 My skin feels soft afterwards and I feel like I've gotten such a nice glow, a little less visible pores. Even the fine lines have been smoothed out a bit! πŸ€—πŸ€— My scars from acne have also become less visible. I use other products that have surely helped too, but a lot has improved in a short time since I added this to my skincare routine. I can't praise this enough! 😍 My skin is combination skin with a tendency to oily skin in the T-zone and dry on the cheeks and around the nose. I have fine lines on my forehead, around my eyes, and at my mouth. Nothing I want to get rid of, but I don't mind if they are less visible 😜 I've had acne but have almost gotten rid of it thanks to isotretinoin. I have larger pores on my forehead, on and around my nose, and on my chin. They have become less visible with the right products. But we are still not at the goal! πŸ‘ΈπŸ½ Less visible pores πŸ‘ΈπŸ½ Less visible scars πŸ‘ΈπŸ½ Reduced fine lines πŸ‘ΈπŸ½ No new pimples πŸ‘ΈπŸ½ Soft and glowing skin I can't find anything negative, except for my picky nose that would like a little fragrant. But I get that from the products I use afterwards, so I shouldn't complain 😜 The first four are from about a month ago before I added this to my skincare routine. The last three are from yesterday, after skincare routine but before any makeup.

Haha thanks! There is a really good French expression that translates to: to have starfish in your pocket. I think it's a good expression πŸ˜‚πŸ’Έ Yeah, that would have been super depressing πŸ™ˆπŸ˜‚

    Mixed results

I was super excited to try this "fancier" niacinamide after using The Ordinary's niacinamide for several years. This gave a really nice glow, but unfortunately, I got small pimples all over my face. My skin is quite sensitive, so I'm surprised.

It contains a lot of glycerin, which means it is a niacinamide product that can particularly meet the needs for moisture and moisture retention of dry and dry/mature skin more than what normal niacinamide products do. So I understand if Niactil doesn't suit all skin types. Or one might need to reduce moisture and moisture-retaining products in their routine if they have a skin type that is more normal or produces moisture and oil satisfactorily on its own. Because then this could be too much. But since the market is flooded with niacinamide products that target more people with oily skin and acne-prone skin, this is a welcome and important product since niacinamide is such a versatile ingredient that is also welcomed by those with dry or dry and sensitive skin (e.g. rosacea-prone skin). Many with dry, dry/mature, and dry and sensitive skin often have difficulty finding niacinamide products that contain an appropriate amount of niacinamide, but that can also compensate for the fact that niacinamide's balancing function can sometimes contribute to increased dryness. The brand did change its Niactil and reduced its strongly moisturizing function, which made it completely worthless for those like me who have built my routine around Niactil since the product was originally launched. Because it was significantly less emollient and moisturizing. Maybe it can be an alternative for those who feel that Niactil gives too much?

    Can never go without!

I have perioral dermatitis and my skin loves this. It calms the skin, it provides a lot of moisture without making my skin oily, and I believe it slows down signs of aging. #lykoreview

What will happen to Niactil when the company re-brands?

To my great joy, Niactil has been allowed to come back, and I was so happy!! Thank you Elixir/Face formula for listening to your customers' pleas and instead allowing both the old and the new variant to be available. (I have written about this before, i.e. how Niactil is basically the only niacinamide product on the market that has also been created with people with dry, dry/mature, and dry/sensitive skin in mind and is therefore, besides being a niacinamide product, also a glycerin bomb. Which is absolutely fantastic. I have been using it since Elixir came to market. And I always have a stock of it at home and use it daily morning and night). MY QUESTION is about: What will happen now with Niactil when Elixir becomes Face formula? I note that among the new products, there is now a third Niacinamide product that seems to be a variant more targeted at oily/acne-prone skin with 6% niacinamide and succinic acid. Which is a combination that can certainly suit oilier and greasier skin types with acne issues. But which will be detrimental for dry, mature sensitive skin. Does this mean that the company will once again remove the old Niactil or remake it? Does the new version replace both Niactil and Face formula? Or will Niactil remain in its original and perfect form? (Please please, say that Niactil will be allowed to stay? It is the only truly well-functioning niacinamide product on the market for all of us who have dry skin). Grateful for feedback from the Elixir/Face formula team, so one knows if one needs to try to hoard Niactil while it is still available...

    Wow feeling right away

The product arrived at my home today, so I obviously had to test it right away, and I immediately got a wow feeling after the first application. I don't know yet how it will help my skin. We'll see. Eagerly waiting for the results.πŸ™βœ¨

    Exfoliating?

Hi. Is this like an acid that makes the skin sensitive to the sun, and should one take a break during the summer?

Hey Linda! Cool that you checked out this popular gem 😍 If you want to use this in your morning routine, SPF might be a good idea since it contains Salicylic Acid. Using at least SPF30 could be a good rule of thumb! Hope you like it πŸ™

    Love this product!

I would love to have a complete skincare routine (that includes this one too) with Elixir, but I don't know which products to choose for a complete routine. Cleansing, serum, cream for anti-aging normal skin, want to reduce pores, get firmer skin and glow. Tips?

    Can these be combined?

In my routine, I have copper peptides from Theramid. Can this be combined, or are there different routines that apply?

Hi Therese! It should be fine to combine (let it absorb properly before applying others), but do try it first on a smaller area. However, if you have sensitive/reactive skin, it might be better to use them in different routines. Good luck with two super great products 🀍 Ps. If you want help with a routine suitable for your skin, feel free to take our skin test that you can find in the app under Beauty Scan.

    Wonderful!

A wonderful gel cream that hydrates the skin and leaves it glowing and beautiful. It works both day and night, under makeup, under sunscreen, yes always! I have used so many tubes over the years that I can't keep track anymore. One of my forever favorites. Glad it's back, even though I really love Face Formula too. They are both fantastic, but feel a little different on the skin. I find Face Formula to be lighter and not as glowy as Niactil.

    Love!

I usually don't like gel creams but this one doesn't get sticky. It's incredibly good on the skin, keeps moisture for a long time, and gives a nice glow. I use torriden serum underneath, very good combo :)

    Combination with sunscreen

Does this go well with the beauty of joseon relief sun sunscreen? Is there another sunscreen that fits better with this?

    Combine Niactil 4% with CeraVe

Hi! How would it be to combine Niactil with CeraVe's day cream; Facial Moisturising Lotion SPF50?

Hey there πŸ’• Yes, you can definitely use these two together! ✨ Niactil 4% gives the skin lots of moisture, evens out texture, and calms down – perfect as a serum in your routine. β˜€οΈ CeraVe Facial Moisturising Lotion SPF50 provides broad-spectrum sun protection while also nourishing the skin with ceramides and niacinamide (yes, that too!). Use Niactil first, on clean skin – and let it absorb a bit before applying the CeraVe cream on top. That way, you get both skincare + sun protection in one lovely combo! 🧴🌞 Just be aware that if your skin is very sensitive, the combination of niacinamide in both products might be a bit much – but for most people, it works perfectly fine 🀍 Wishing you a great day ahead πŸ’Œ
