Lays on like a dream!
I think this is an incredibly nice foundation. I use the shade 2W2 Rattan🫶🏼✨ I have combination skin with a forehead that easily gets oily, and this foundation is really matte in a nice, long-lasting way. It keeps the shine away and stays where it should all day without separating or getting cakey😍✨👏🏼 If you have drier skin, I would absolutely recommend using a richer cream underneath, because it is, as mentioned, matte in its finish. With a richer cream underneath, it lays super nicely and looks even and fresh. With a lighter cream, the result is also nice, but more naturally matte. Feel free to check out my video where I show how it works on me both with a rich cream and a lighter one, so you can see the difference clearly. I actually have nothing to complain about when it comes to result, durability, or finish. The only thing that holds me back is the price. 640 kr is above my pain threshold for a foundation, and honestly, I don’t think I would have bought it at full price. I would definitely wait for it to be on sale. Unfortunately the worst foundation I've tested!
I'm so sad that this foundation turned out to be such a total disappointment for me, I had high expectations for this! The color I received didn't really match me as it was very light, but I overlooked that in the review and focused on how it performs. I am 33 years old, have skin that leans more oily and is slightly acne-prone. I haven't really gotten wrinkles yet, but some fine lines around my eyes have started to appear. I usually use L’Oréal True Match foundation or Lumene CC Cream. The first thing about the product is the incredibly worthless packaging with a screw cap!! No pump, no dropper or anything for application, you have to POUR out the product. It's messy, a waste of product and yes, worthless. It laid on my skin like a dry film, I've tried applying both with a brush and with a sponge. Instead of making the skin smooth, it emphasized every pore, line and made me look older. I've never experienced anything like it! I can't manage to work this into my skin, no matter how much I try in different ways. I've set my makeup as usual with powder and setting spray, yet the oiliness has really come through about 10 hours later, which it doesn't usually do with my other foundations. It has also slid off and doesn't sit well at all, while when I have my usual foundations, they stay put all day. (I prefer to pour directly from the bottle instead of using a pump 😊) I don't know if this new bottle has a new formula from the previous one? Have you tried this foundation before? It looks like you are applying way too much product on the back of your hand, try a little less (like 1/4 of what you use) and make sure to be moisturized when applying the foundation. I usually use a damp sponge (I saw that you also tried that but maybe you should try with less product? 🥰 I have this foundation (I have the old bottle) and love it, I'm the same age as you and have normal/dry combination skin. So the result should be drier on me in that case, but I like this and always get a nice result. I like coverage but prefer to use two thin layers ❤️ this foundation is one that you need very little of, I think, but it also depends on what result you want 🥰

Disappointing
Unfortunately, this new formula is not good at all. Ordered the same shade as before and this one has also changed. Very disappointing to look like an Oompa-Loompa when you think you've got the same shade as before. Doesn't sit as well as before either. Good durability!
Ohhh, I was so looking forward to trying this! And it was good, but it doesn't quite make it all the way.. I used the shade 2N1, which matched my skin tone well, and I haven't experienced it oxidizing throughout the day. I have a bit of rosacea and didn't find that it negatively affected my skin condition, however, I added a little extra on the areas where I am most red. It's thin and light, but I still feel like it looks a bit heavy, especially if you want to powder a little on oily areas (I didn't powder in the pictures). The durability is really good though, it couldn't be washed off with micellar water 😅 it would be interesting to do a sweat test.. I would prefer to use this for nights out, for example, but for my taste, it's too heavy for everyday use. I would say it has a satin finish. It settles a bit unattractively around my nose, I think, and I feel like you need to be well-moisturized before applying the product, so that wrinkles aren't emphasized more. I don't like that a pump isn't included, it's incredibly cumbersome and messy without it, and when the product already has a high price, it feels annoying to have to buy a pump.. nah, please bring the pumps back, dear Esteé Lauder 🙏🥺 So, is it worth the price then? Hmm, maybe. Buildable foundation for you who loves a matte or glowy finish💛
I have had the chance to test the Estée Lauder Double Wear Stay-In-Place Foundation in the updated packaging. The formula is said to be the same as before, but the outside of the bottle has a new design. This is actually the first time I am testing makeup from Estée Lauder – a brand that truly exudes elegance and luxury. The texture is light and smooth, yet buildable up to full coverage without feeling heavy on the skin. It is supposed to last up to 24 hours and is also waterproof, making it perfect for long days. I am very satisfied with the formula, the shade range, and the coverage. However, I would strongly recommend moisturizing the skin properly before application, especially if you also have dry and sensitive/combination skin. 🤎 The foundation comes in a beautiful, elegant glass bottle, but for some reason it doesn't have a pump or any kind of dispenser, so you have to pour it out first, which is quite impractical. 🤎 It has a very pleasant scent. I'd say it has medium to high coverage, yet it doesn't feel heavy on the skin and gives a beautiful glow. 🤎 My skin is quite oily and tends to get shiny after some time. I have a neutral undertone. I think it looks good and holds well on oily skin as well. 🤎 What I really love about this foundation is the glow it gives to the skin and how well it blends and brings all the other products together. It melts beautifully into the skin and works especially well with cream blush and bronzer. 🤎 It applies nicely with both a brush and fingers. 🤎 I don't wear foundation very often and I haven't tried the older version of this one, but I'm very happy with how it looks on my skin and how it performs with other products. Beautiful even long-lasting finish
I was super excited to test this foundation because the older version has been my go-to foundation for years, and I also used the product in my makeup kit for clients when I wanted bomb-proof durability for photoshoot makeup. First of all, I want to say that the lovely test shade suited me perfectly. Light enough! It was also easy to find the right shade in the color chart since it was high quality and the shade range is generally wide. I love the new formula. I think it’s thinner than before, and thus the finish isn’t as mask-like as I remember the previous version being. Even though I have dry-prone skin, this was easy to get to work on my skin with good primer and hydration. The makeup lasted all day without needing touch-ups, and the finish was flawless from morning to night. Plus, it didn’t turn yellow or darker as it dried. The downside is that the pump bottle has to be purchased separately. I love luxury cosmetics, and the price is okay for me, but I understand that many can’t afford to buy this. Is it worth the price? New day, new Lyko mission!! This time I have as #lykoinflutester tested among other things the Double Wear Stay-In-Place Makeup SPF10 from #esteelauder !!😝 The packaging is simple but looks luxurious. I think it’s a bit awkward how you distribute the product from the bottle - there’s nothing direct. It becomes harder to control how much product you get out, unless you are incredibly light-handed. It would be better with a pump or something. The product is supposed to be a mattifying foundation, with buildable medium to full coverage that lasts for 24 hours no matter what you find yourself doing. 🙌 This foundation is matte, which I appreciate as I have combination/oily skin. But even though it’s mattifying, I still think my natural glow shines through nicely.✨ It’s also fragrance-free, oil-free, and should not clog pores, which I appreciate as someone with quite acne-prone skin - and I haven’t experienced that this has affected my pores or caused me to breakout. 🔥The coverage is good and the longevity too: I’ve had this on for a 12-hour shift as a waitress where you run around, as well as a full day of snowmobiling where I wore a helmet, and I barely saw a difference before and after. My favorite
This is, quite honestly, my all-time favorite foundation, and I was super excited to test the new version. 🤩 The reformulated version feels a bit thinner and oxidizes less than before, which I really like. It blends beautifully into the skin and provides medium to full coverage without feeling heavy or looking cakey. The finish is quite matte. It dries quickly, so you have to work a bit efficiently. 12-hour wear, but at what cost?
I was really looking forward to testing this, especially after the reformulation 🤩 A few years ago, I tried the original version, but unfortunately, it didn't work for me. I know many swore by the old formula, but for my skin, it was too dry, matte, and caked on the skin… I have normal skin with some dry patches, a bit sensitive, and some blemishes. It can also get a little oily on my forehead. For me, the ideal foundation is therefore light, with a dewy finish. I wished it had light to medium coverage and good longevity. Since I often wear my makeup from morning to night. It can be built up, but it's not a must, as I use concealer anyway. The most important thing is that it doesn't feel like a mask! First and foremost, the well-known issue - the bottle lacks a pump. As a somewhat clumsy person, it makes both dosing difficult and increases the risk of spills 😅 A pump can be purchased separately, but I think it's silly that it doesn't come with it when you're already paying so much for the product. On the first day, I mixed it with my Natasha Denona foundation. Which is the foundation I usually always use. It worked poorly. It separated around my nose and chin and became patchy. On day two, I adjusted both prep and application: light peeling the night before, extra moisture in skincare and base, less product (especially in vulnerable areas), and application with a brush combined with a sponge. At the same time, I set the foundation with a lighter powder. That made a big difference. Then it sat nicely for about 12 hours 🏅 Around the nose area, I experience that it disappears faster, BUT that is not an unknown problem for me. After some trying, I have figured out how it needs to be applied to work on my skin, and that is precisely what I also find a bit of a challenge. I want a more predictable everyday foundation that works without so much adjustment, and that pulls it down a bit. It feels a bit dry and matte compared to what I usually prefer. I have to work it in more than I need to with my other foundations, and it requires a bit of extra prep to lay down perfectly on my skin. Additionally, it is a bit thicker in consistency, and therefore gives more of a product feel on the skin than I like. In return, it lasts all day! Unfortunately, this doesn't live up to expectations
I was so excited to try this, as it has been high on my list for a long time! I've heard so much good about it (but that was before the reformulation). 😢 The packaging feels very luxurious✨, but the fact that it comes without a pump or some form of applicator also made it difficult and impractical. 🥲 From the start, I was actually skeptical, as it seemed almost a bit uneven when I put it on my hand. 😔 I tried to apply it with a sponge and brush, but found it difficult to get it to lay nicely. 🙃 I've never had issues with my skincare causing problems with makeup, and did everything by the ‘book’. 😇 I was still relatively satisfied with the result💕, even though I found it harder to get there than with some of my cheaper foundations. But throughout the day, I lost the feeling of durability that this is notorious for. It separated and became much more noticeable on the face. 🥸 I won't reach for this, and for the price, I probably would never buy it. Many of my foundations under 200kr feel much nicer! 😅 I have combination skin, use Purito Vitamin C and moisturizer, and Skin1004 sunscreen before makeup. They deserve credit for going very light in tone and true to various undertones. For someone who is neutral in skin tone and finds it difficult to find products that aren't too warm or pink, this has been a nice experience. #lykoinflutester #esteelauder

How to Use:
SHAKE: Then dispense a fingertip amount.
