Lays on like a dream!
I think this is an incredibly nice foundation. I use the shade 2W2 Rattan🫶🏼✨ I have combination skin with a forehead that easily gets oily, and this foundation is really matte in a nice, long-lasting way. It keeps the shine away and stays where it should all day without separating or getting cakey😍✨👏🏼 If you have drier skin, I would absolutely recommend using a richer cream underneath, because it is, as mentioned, matte in its finish. With a richer cream underneath, it lays super nicely and looks even and fresh. With a lighter cream, the result is also nice, but more naturally matte. Feel free to check out my video where I show how it works on me both with a rich cream and a lighter one, so you can see the difference clearly. I actually have nothing to complain about when it comes to result, durability, or finish. The only thing that holds me back is the price. 640 kr is above my pain threshold for a foundation, and honestly, I don’t think I would have bought it at full price. I would definitely wait for it to be on sale. Unfortunately the worst foundation I've tested!
I'm so sad that this foundation turned out to be such a total disappointment for me, I had high expectations for this! The color I received didn't really match me as it was very light, but I overlooked that in the review and focused on how it performs. I am 33 years old, have skin that leans more oily and is slightly acne-prone. I haven't really gotten wrinkles yet, but some fine lines around my eyes have started to appear. I usually use L’Oréal True Match foundation or Lumene CC Cream. The first thing about the product is the incredibly worthless packaging with a screw cap!! No pump, no dropper or anything for application, you have to POUR out the product. It's messy, a waste of product and yes, worthless. It laid on my skin like a dry film, I've tried applying both with a brush and with a sponge. Instead of making the skin smooth, it emphasized every pore, line and made me look older. I've never experienced anything like it! I can't manage to work this into my skin, no matter how much I try in different ways. I've set my makeup as usual with powder and setting spray, yet the oiliness has really come through about 10 hours later, which it doesn't usually do with my other foundations. It has also slid off and doesn't sit well at all, while when I have my usual foundations, they stay put all day. It looks like you are applying way too much product on the back of your hand, try a little less (like 1/4 of what you use) and make sure to be moisturized when applying the foundation. I usually use a damp sponge (I saw that you also tried that but maybe you should try with less product? 🥰 I have this foundation (I have the old bottle) and love it, I'm the same age as you and have normal/dry combination skin. So the result should be drier on me in that case, but I like this and always get a nice result. I like coverage but prefer to use two thin layers ❤️ this foundation is one that you need very little of, I think, but it also depends on what result you want 🥰1 likes

Favorite product for several years until now
Used this for 13 years, the new formula is unfortunately not anywhere near the old one. Very liquid, feels sticky on the skin and quickly gets shiny and creases a bit under the eyes, never had that problem before. Feels almost like glue on the skin, so disappointed. Cakey unfortunately!
✨ I have as #lykoinflutester tested the Double Wear Stay-In-Place Makeup from #esteelauder in the shade 2N2 Buff! ✨ I have used the older version before, so I was very curious to try this one, but the experience was actually a bit different than I had expected. For starters, I find that the shade is both yellower and much darker than I anticipated. This is probably my fault as I didn’t see pictures of the shade beforehand and went by the description “light-medium.” On my skin, which leans more neutral/light warm, it didn’t quite balance out in undertone as I had hoped, which is good to keep in mind if you are sensitive to yellow tones and pale. It will surely be a much better match in the spring when I get darker and warmer in my skin. The consistency is still relatively thin and pigmented, but unlike the older version, I feel that this one is a bit more cakey and a little harder to blend out evenly. I need to work faster and more carefully to avoid it setting before I’ve had time to work it in properly, and it can easily become patchy. The coverage is high and it definitely evens out the skin tone effectively, but I find that it really emphasizes texture, especially on the drier areas of my combination skin. The finish is matte and very “long-wear,” but I don’t experience the same smooth, almost skin-like feel that I remember from the previous version. The wear is still good and it stays in place throughout the day, but the overall impression was unfortunately not quite as impressive as I had hoped. In summary, this is a foundation with high coverage and good wear, but keep in mind that the shade may appear yellower/darker than expected and that the formula may require a bit more work during application. Double Wear Stay-In-Place Makeup SPF10 Shade: 1W0 Warm Porcelain
🤩 A new favorite! As #lykoinflutester, I got to try this foundation from #esteelauder. 🤑 I have always had problems with foundations getting cakey on me, and therefore I have never been able to use any. But this one goes on perfectly on the skin and has a very light and watery consistency. 💦 Good coverage but not full coverage, perfect if you want to look fresh. 🍑 The only negative is that it has no pump, so you have to pour out the product, and it feels wasteful because it's hard to determine how much will come out on its own. Disappointed
As a Lyko influencer, I tested this foundation✨ At first, it actually looks very nice on the skin, it applies nicely, gives an even base, and feels really promising right after application. Unfortunately, it does not live up to expectations. After just a few hours, it starts to disappear and does not last nearly as long as one would expect from a product in this price range. For those who want their makeup to last from morning to night, this is therefore not an obvious choice. The price is also quite high, which makes the expectations even greater. Another negative detail is that it does not come with a pump or dropper, which feels impractical considering the cost.🌸 The old formula is much better in terms of longevity. Disappointing
Unfortunately, this new formula is not good at all. Ordered the same shade as before and this one has also changed. Very disappointing to look like an Oompa-Loompa when you think you've got the same shade as before. Doesn't sit as well as before either. Good durability!
Ohhh, I was so looking forward to trying this! And it was good, but it doesn't quite make it all the way.. I used the shade 2N1, which matched my skin tone well, and I haven't experienced it oxidizing throughout the day. I have a bit of rosacea and didn't find that it negatively affected my skin condition, however, I added a little extra on the areas where I am most red. It's thin and light, but I still feel like it looks a bit heavy, especially if you want to powder a little on oily areas (I didn't powder in the pictures). The durability is really good though, it couldn't be washed off with micellar water 😅 it would be interesting to do a sweat test.. I would prefer to use this for nights out, for example, but for my taste, it's too heavy for everyday use. I would say it has a satin finish. It settles a bit unattractively around my nose, I think, and I feel like you need to be well-moisturized before applying the product, so that wrinkles aren't emphasized more. I don't like that a pump isn't included, it's incredibly cumbersome and messy without it, and when the product already has a high price, it feels annoying to have to buy a pump.. nah, please bring the pumps back, dear Esteé Lauder 🙏🥺 So, is it worth the price then? Hmm, maybe. Buildable foundation for you who loves a matte or glowy finish💛
I have had the chance to test the Estée Lauder Double Wear Stay-In-Place Foundation in the updated packaging. The formula is said to be the same as before, but the outside of the bottle has a new design. This is actually the first time I am testing makeup from Estée Lauder – a brand that truly exudes elegance and luxury. The texture is light and smooth, yet buildable up to full coverage without feeling heavy on the skin. It is supposed to last up to 24 hours and is also waterproof, making it perfect for long days. I am very satisfied with the formula, the shade range, and the coverage. However, I would strongly recommend moisturizing the skin properly before application, especially if you also have dry and sensitive/combination skin. 🤎 The foundation comes in a beautiful, elegant glass bottle, but for some reason it doesn't have a pump or any kind of dispenser, so you have to pour it out first, which is quite impractical. 🤎 It has a very pleasant scent. I'd say it has medium to high coverage, yet it doesn't feel heavy on the skin and gives a beautiful glow. 🤎 My skin is quite oily and tends to get shiny after some time. I have a neutral undertone. I think it looks good and holds well on oily skin as well. 🤎 What I really love about this foundation is the glow it gives to the skin and how well it blends and brings all the other products together. It melts beautifully into the skin and works especially well with cream blush and bronzer. 🤎 It applies nicely with both a brush and fingers. 🤎 I don't wear foundation very often and I haven't tried the older version of this one, but I'm very happy with how it looks on my skin and how it performs with other products. Beautiful even long-lasting finish
I was super excited to test this foundation because the older version has been my go-to foundation for years, and I also used the product in my makeup kit for clients when I wanted bomb-proof durability for photoshoot makeup. First of all, I want to say that the lovely test shade suited me perfectly. Light enough! It was also easy to find the right shade in the color chart since it was high quality and the shade range is generally wide. I love the new formula. I think it’s thinner than before, and thus the finish isn’t as mask-like as I remember the previous version being. Even though I have dry-prone skin, this was easy to get to work on my skin with good primer and hydration. The makeup lasted all day without needing touch-ups, and the finish was flawless from morning to night. Plus, it didn’t turn yellow or darker as it dried. The downside is that the pump bottle has to be purchased separately. I love luxury cosmetics, and the price is okay for me, but I understand that many can’t afford to buy this. Is it worth the price?
