Healthier Hair
I received 4 products from #REDKEN in their Acidic Bonding Concentrate line and tested them as a #LYKOINFLUTESTER. I tested the Pre Treatment, shampoo, conditioner, and leave-in. The packaging is absolutely beautiful to look at, the only thing is that both the pre treatment and the conditioner were a bit hard to get out, so they have to stand upside down in the shower, not the end of the world really ^^ I was initially a bit skeptical about the line since I am very sensitive to AHA in skincare, but I haven't seen or felt any of that and have been able to use it every time I wash my hair. I am the type who doesn't have the patience to wait for products to work in the hair, it needs to be quick, I've used this every other hair wash and yes, the bottle upside down otherwise it was hard to get out. I left it in wet hair for as long as I think is 5 minutes, I still need a bit for the whole hair I feel, but when rinsing out, the hair feels soft and easy to rinse out. I like the whole line as it has made my hair not look so damaged after a lot of bleaching at home, not as many split ends and when the hair dries, it is divinely soft and looks healthier. They have a nice scent and the only thing I find a bit annoying is probably the Pre Treatment since it takes a bit longer than usual and an extra step, but maybe I'll get used to it. Just pre treatment products are quite new for me ^^6 likes691 viewsto leave a comment - Most helpful negative1 weekVerifierad testare
So-so...
I have fine, thin, and "weighing down" hair that generally requires little maintenance. I also have glass-like hair, where nothing sticks well, neither color, bleaching, nor product. When I had the pleasure of testing this, the expectations were high. The product is applied to TOWEL-DRIED hair. I used about 1 tablespoon for my shoulder-length hair, (as mentioned, I have thin hair, as well as few hair strands), and let it marinate for a good quarter of an hour, combed the hair well through so that the product was evenly distributed, before I washed it out with the shampoo from the same series in 2 rounds. ( lyko.com/no/redken/redken-acidic-bonding-concentrate-shampoo-300-ml?fromsearch=1261-601-0300 ) The procedure itself takes some good time, as it can feel a bit tedious to go through a 4-step system. Bonding, shampoo, conditioner, and leave-in cream. The formula feels like silicone, silky soft and pearl-frosted. The scent feels luxurious, like in a hair salon. After the procedure, my hair felt very heavy, as if I hadn't washed it for a couple of days, and products had started to build up. Immediately, I got the feeling that my hair felt greasy, and the following day it looked absolutely terrible. It was just before Tine Meieriene asked if they could come by... For me, this is a product that would have been excellent if my hair had gone through a massive bleaching at 12% over repeated visits to the salon. Even though this product was nearly slaughtered by me, it doesn't mean that the product isn't valuable for you. Plus for the product coming in handy packaging, as you can utilize all of the product. (190ml tube). The scent is sharp, but not overwhelming. Easy to distribute in damp hair. The price is in a mid-range. Must go through at least 3 steps for the product to take full advantage. #LYKOINFLUTESTER #REDKEN #LYKOREVIEW5 likes542 views- Hairdresser at Lyko1 weekHi Dina 🤍 Thank you so much for a detailed and nice feedback! Cares but pulls my color out
I have tested the entire series and used it according to the instructions. It’s therefore hard to determine exactly which product does what, but it’s a good combination! My hair: - medium length, medium thick hair strands - Dry and tends to get frizzy 😥 - Classically naturally colored at the roots and gets bleached highlights/balayage 4-5 times a year For the past few months, I have also used some pink toning and color mask. This product is a bit tricky, as it needs to be applied to towel-dried hair and then left on for 5-10 minutes. If you (like me) are already someone who hesitates a bit with the project of washing hair, it’s not very appealing… According to the manufacturer, the pre-treatment is supposed to protect the hair color, but I feel like my toning washes out faster than usual. Additionally, my hair feels greasy a bit faster than with my regular washing routine. On the other hand, my hair feels more manageable, and even though at the beginning of the test I regretted not trimming the ends before I started, it’s good that I didn’t because it really provided a basis for hair testing! I still need to trim the ends, but they don’t feel as damaged as before. So, what’s the verdict? In combination with the other products in the series, my hair feels less damaged, but this product is a bit tricky and will probably be the first step I cut out. Additionally, I feel like my toning fades faster when I use it, which brings the rating down to a 3. #redken #lykoinflutester2 likes226 viewsto leave a comment - 11 hoursVerifierad testare
Good per wash treatment
As #lykoinflutester I got the opportunity to try the #Redken Acidic bonding series including this treatment. I have long curly hair that I wash 2 to 3 times a week and mostly blow dry or style with heat tools. So I have some damaged hair/ split ends. Packaging is nice and sleek. I like the halo on white design. This treatment is a thick formula though and it’s not the easiest to get out of a bottle. I have used it several times now, the consistency is such as a conditioner/ mask. It’s easy to rinse off and leaves hair soft. However I’m not sure how effective it is in reinforcing the damage bonds. But I will keep using it as it just requires 5 to 10 minutes and washes off easily.2 likes59 viewsto leave a comment - 15 hoursVerifierad testare
Good for damaged hair
I have tested this 4-step Acidic Bonding Concentrate series from Redken consisting of Shampoo, Conditioner, Intensive Pre Treatment, and Leave-In Treatment. I have typical Nordic quality hair, not particularly thick and relatively flat by nature. It is a bit worn from hair coloring and heat tools, but not very much. I have been testing this series for about 2 weeks now. The Intensive Pre Treatment comes in an aesthetically pleasing bottle that is easy to get product out of, and you can get most of the container out when it starts to get empty. It smells absolutely lovely, I think, fresh and nice but not overly perfumed, and the scent doesn’t linger in the hair after use, which I appreciate since it can get a bit too many different scents when using multiple products. It is relatively easy to use, you dampen and towel-dry the hair before distributing the product in the hair. Then you wait 5-10 minutes and follow up with shampoo and conditioner. So it’s not much more hassle than treating the hair after washing, but it is still a bit of work. I think it’s worth the time if you’re trying to rebuild damaged hair, and you don’t need to use it every time you wash your hair. The product is in perfect consistency, I think, not too thin that it just runs off but still not so thick that it’s hard to distribute evenly. You need little product, so a bottle lasts a long time. Unfortunately, my hair becomes very heavy and almost greasy from using these products, but it’s possible that my hair simply isn’t damaged enough to need such a heavy-duty series. I imagine this series is perfect for very bleached, damaged, and frizzy hair, as it makes the ends of my hair especially silky soft and together, but it’s a bit too much for my hair. I have tried to use less of the product, letting it sit for anywhere from 5 to 10 minutes to see if it becomes less greasy, but unfortunately, it stays that way regardless. I think the price is completely fair if this is a product you need, and I would absolutely test it if you need to rebuild damaged hair. #lykoinflutester #redken1 likes243 viewsto leave a comment - 1 dayVerifierad testare
Good, but not for oily scalp
As a lykoinfluencer, I had the opportunity to test this hair mask (Intensive pre-treatment), thanks Lyko! 🤍 My hair is thin, long with an oily scalp, dry ends, and is colored (highlighted). I'm not a person who likes multiple steps in my hair routine. I usually do shampoo and conditioner, as well as the mask 1-2 times a week. I have some issues with my scalp, which is quite sensitive and starts to react/itch with many products (or after a certain period of use). The hair mask has a nice, sleek bottle, it's easy to get the product out, and the consistency is quite thick. You should apply it to towel-dried hair and let it sit for at least 5 minutes before shampooing, which I personally find quite annoying because I want to be done as quickly as possible. The hair absorbs the product quickly and becomes oily, and even if you use other steps afterward, it still feels a bit oily. It smells incredibly good though, not too much! This is a real hair mask that makes the hair soft and shiny, but I personally found it too oily and gave too much moisture/nourishment to my hair. The product itself is good but doesn't suit my oily scalp... you do get a lot for the price though. I can imagine it works for those who have bleached hair and need a lot of nourishment. After several uses, unfortunately, my hair started to itch a lot. Usually, I wash my hair every other day because it gets oily, but with this product, I felt that my hair was oily the very next day.. Otherwise, I think it's a good product, but it didn't suit my scalp very well. #redken #lykoinflutester2 likes259 viewsto leave a comment - 1 dayVerifierad testare
Fragrant product!
I have now had the honor of testing this series from Redken, and I thought this series was very good. I think this series strengthens the hair's barrier and gives a nice result when I have used the series. The packaging is very luxurious in appearance, and you smell really good in your hair after using the products together. I would say this pre-treatment is good! It is a bit tricky since it needs to be applied to towel-dried hair. You first need to wet the hair before applying it and then wait for 10 minutes. But the product itself is very good! It smells really nice and feels very luxurious. I don't know if it's the product itself or the whole series together that has given a nice result, but I would really recommend this series! #LYKOINFLUTESTER #REDKEN2 likes423 viewsto leave a comment - 2 daysVerifierad testare
Essential after tough bleaching sessions
💖 I received the product for free as a #LYKOINFLUTESTER. I got to test a series of skincare products from #REDKEN, whose products from different lines have contributed for many years to saving my heavily bleached hair. Acidic Bonding Pre-treatment is therefore not a new acquaintance for me, but a product I have used before and still use. This product is WORTH GOLD after bleaching. I bleach my hair 9 steps in one sitting, and for the next 2-4 washes, I am extra careful with it. Here, Redken's pre-treatment has made a big difference. The hair looks/feels softer and stronger right away, and especially together with the shampoo from the same line, it is clear that fewer hair strands break off in the shower. I have previously had this product to thank for a lot, as it was a strong contributor to my hair going from breaking off in clumps at about level 7, to being able to be bleached further to platinum just a few weeks later. I used this pre-treatment religiously along with the leave-in from the Extreme line, and my hair became like newborn. However, this is a product that I cannot use as too much time has passed between treatments. Then it feels like the hair has reached its maximum under the circumstances, and if I continue using it, it becomes a bit heavy and flat. The consistency is thick but silky, and the product has not irritated my sensitive scalp. The scent is neutral/unisex and mild, and I find that it completely washes out during rinsing. The packaging is practical and designed to stand up and down when the product starts to run out. The colors are a hit or miss, but I personally love both colorful and white and stylish, so I think this grayish-white color and minimalist design are super pretty. ⭐️ Acidic Bonding Pre-treatment is a fantastically affordable pre-treatment for damaged, dry, bleached hair, and it has given me results that much more expensive, talked-about brands have not. If you don't have heavily treated hair, I don't think you'll notice any difference, and then I think it's better to look for a lighter product. But for exposed hair that needs a miracle cure, this should 100% stand high on the test list.5 likes582 viewsto leave a comment - 3 daysVerifierad testare
Bring your hair back to life
I had the honor of testing this hair mask. Here comes my honest review: as for the appearance of the bottle, I like it. A nice and sleek bottle. The consistency is quite thick, like a conditioner, and it smells incredibly good. I massage the product into the hair lengths and let it sit for at least 10 minutes for the best effect. I would say that this hair mask has everything you need if you have blonde, damaged, dry hair like I do. I can really feel that just after a few uses, how much stronger, shinier, and softer my hair has become. I am actually a bit shocked. This entire series from Redken has become my new favorite, I will buy it again and again. The product is worth its price! #LYKOINFLUTESTER #REDKEN2 likes268 viewsto leave a comment - 3 daysVerifierad testare
Kluven
My hair is typically Scandinavian, thin but with many hair strands. The hair often feels lifeless and flat if I don't use volumizing products. The hair has been bleached about every 1-2 years. I think the scent of the product is luxurious and fresh. It has been hard to see what effect the product has had on my hair during the testing period. I've noticed that my scalp has become a bit dry, which could be due to the product or the weather/season. Otherwise, my hair has felt good after use. The product gets a rating of 3/5 as I'm not sure it has any greater effect on my hair. I'm also a person who doesn't want to spend too much time in the shower, which affects the rating. #REDKEN #LYKOINFLUTESTER2 likes201 viewsto leave a comment
