💜✨ A body butter that truly lives up to its name!
I have really fallen for Sol de Janeiro Delícia Drench Body Butter! This is the kind of body cream I love to use when my skin feels dry and I want intense hydration while also enjoying an absolutely fantastic scent. 🥹💜 The first thing I love is the texture. It’s thick, rich, and incredibly creamy, almost like whipped cream. But the great thing is that it melts into the skin as I massage it in, leaving the skin soft and velvety. Lyko describes it as a body butter with a velvety finish that helps lock in long-lasting moisture and supports the skin barrier. And the scent is absolutely wonderful. 😭💜 Cheirosa 59 has that warm combination of vanilla orchid, sugared violet, and soft sandalwood. It feels sweet and gourmand, but at the same time a bit more grown-up and sophisticated than many really sweet body scents. What I find especially impressive is how long the scent can last. Several Lyko users describe the scent as lasting very long, and a verified buyer even states it lasted about 24 hours. When it comes to hydration, I think it works best when the skin really needs something richer. It’s designed to soothe dry skin and help repair the moisture barrier, including with prebiotic hibiscus and a Brazilian complex. I also like that it’s so economical. Since the texture is quite rich, I don’t need to use a very thick layer to get my skin properly hydrated. 🤍 But here comes the small downside: it can feel a bit sticky for some. There are Lyko reviews where users love the hydration and scent but feel it leaves a slightly tacky feeling. So if you prefer super-light body lotions, I’d probably choose something else. And 75 ml is actually quite small. 😭 I therefore think this size is perfect for testing the scent and formula or for travel, while 240 ml feels more reasonable if you already know you love it. For me, this is above all a truly luxurious body butter for dry skin where hydration and scent get to play an equally important role.
