Very moisturizing🧖🏼♀️💕
I had the honor of trying this face cream that has SPF 30, which I love, and this was a hit for me🙌💕 This is a thick face cream that absorbs easily into the skin and leaves a glowy finish. It works well under makeup, which I love, and a plus is that it has SPF 30☀️ However, it has a slight sunscreen scent. Doesn't suit my sensitive skin!
Cetaphil's Daily Defence Moisturiser is a thicker day cream that is supposed to work excellently on sensitive skin. My skin is dry and sensitive, often reacting with eczema and irritated skin. Therefore, I had high hopes that this day cream would suit my skin well. The cream is quite thick in consistency and takes some time to absorb into the skin. My skin feels moisturized after applying it, and I don't get that feeling of dryness or tightness that I sometimes get with less moisturizing creams. It also gives a nice glow to the skin. The cream stings quite a lot in the eyes if you accidentally get it too close to them. My skin also reacts with eczema around the eyes, and the only thing I've changed is this cream, so I'm sure it's the cause. So for sensitive skin, I don't think it works at all. I've tested it under foundation, and it works well if you only have this underneath. But if I apply my usual sunscreen on top, my foundation pills. This doesn't happen with just the sunscreen alone, but these two together don't work. I appreciate that it has sunscreen in it, even though it's not enough for me since I always use a specific sunscreen as well. I also appreciate that it's fragrance-free and doesn't smell like anything. The tube is handy, takes up little space, and stands firmly in the bathroom cabinet. The lid is also handy and easy to open. Unfortunately, it wasn't a hit for me, and I won't repurchase it. This one is great!
This has become a favorite in my skincare routine. I like that it moisturizes the skin thoroughly without feeling heavy or sticky, and the fact that it also contains SPF 30 makes it very convenient to use every morning. The cream absorbs quickly into the skin and leaves a soft and pleasant feeling without any white residue. I've been using this day cream for a while now and I'm really impressed! It feels light on the skin, absorbs quickly without leaving a sticky or greasy feeling, and works great under makeup. In my role as a test pilot for cetaphil, this was my absolute favorite! Simple and functional packaging, big plus! Very economical, a small amount is enough for face and neck. Quite thick consistency, but it absorbs into the skin immediately. Leaves the skin soft and a bit glowing, very rich formula. Even late in the evening, my skin felt soft and moisturized when I had used it in the morning. Would I consider buying it again? Absolutely!! A compromise
At first, I was a bit surprised by the texture. It was thicker than I expected, and also very economical – only a small amount is needed. It also has a faint scent of sunscreen, which I hadn’t anticipated. It also takes a little while to absorb into the skin. After a while, I got used to it. What I like most is that I can skip a step in my skincare routine. 😅 The packaging is also very convenient. At the same time, I would have chosen a sunscreen with a higher SPF if I knew I was going to be out in the sun a lot. And if my skin were dry or needed extra moisture, I would probably prefer a more moisturizing product. That’s kind of how it goes with hybrid products. Mixed feelings
My skin is usually extremely dry, but in the summer it’s more combination and therefore needs lighter skincare that is oil-free, which this is according to the description. However, I still feel like my skin looks and feels oily. I constantly felt sticky on my face, as if the skin couldn’t absorb the cream. The positive was that at least it didn’t itch, which I find many rich creams do. I also have sensitive and reactive skin, but it didn’t react at all to this. It leaves no white residue and is easy to apply on the skin. Cetaphil Daily Defence Facial Moisturiser SPF30 – (3.5/5)
I have normal / slightly dry skin and think this is a good moisturizing cream, even though it is significantly greasier than I expected. For me, that actually doesn’t matter – I almost prefer slightly richer creams since I have a multi-step skincare routine, and it works well as a moisturizing final layer. However, I believe it suits best during autumn and winter when the skin needs a bit of extra moisture. Now in summer, when my skin gets a bit oilier and it’s really warm outside, I sometimes feel the cream is a bit too greasy on my face. At the same time, it contains SPF, which makes me still want to use it during the day. What I miss most is SPF 50 instead of SPF 30, especially for the face where I want higher protection. For neck and décolleté, I think SPF 30 works perfectly fine ☀️ Another big advantage is the price. I think it’s very affordable and you get a lot of product for the money. Overall, it’s a good and moisturizing cream from cetaphil that suits my normal/slightly dry skin, but it will probably mainly be used during the colder months. I have been using this face cream for a while now and am very satisfied! 💃🏻 It feels light on the skin, absorbs quickly, and moisturizes really well without becoming sticky or greasy. I have sensitive skin and usually react badly to some SPF products, but this one works great! I have tried Cetaphil Daily Defence Facial Moisturiser SPF30 and think it is a good combination of day cream and sun protection. Very greasy cream
🙋♀️ I have very sensitive, dry to combination skin that is extremely allergy prone. I also have some fine lines around my eyes and sun spots on my cheek bones. 📦 The packaging This cream comes in an upside down squeeze tube. It's easy to get the cream out like this. 👀 The texture and looks The cream is white in color. It is thick and greasy in consistency. It's easy to spread it. 👃 The smell The cream has a mild smell of sunscreen. It's not unpleasant or very powerful. The smell does not linger on the skin. 🤔 My opinion As with similar products like this one that I have tested, I was not a fan. The greasyness of this cream made me not like it. My skin just doesn't absorb these kind of products so the level of oil just sits on top of my skin for hours. Making me look sweaty, shiny and oily. Not to mention, my hair sticks to my face, my glasses slide of my nose and it's basically impossible to have makeup on. I am not a fan of oily products for my skin (that includes sunscreens). And when a cream is only SPF30 that means I need to add another sunscreen on top of it or I will burn and end up looking like a lobster. 🦞 With already greasy product just lying on my skin, adding another sunscreen on top of that is a horror show. It will also leave white cast unless you really rub it around. I short, this is not a product for me. Nothing wrong with the cream, it's just not right cream for my skin type. Day Cream with SPF 30
So happy to be a test pilot for this product 😊 This is the first time I’m trying Cetaphil I have now used it for 3 weeks. Good to use as a day cream, and that it contains SPF 30, but it would be desirable if it was SPF 50. Protects against UVA and UVB. Easy to spread on the skin 😊 Doesn’t feel sticky, instead I find the skin soft afterwards. Matches the description that it is fast absorbing. Good for dry skin. Doesn’t feel greasy and is affordable.
