estelle & thild is launching makeup! ✨ And I got to try some of the new products through the Lyko Creator Deal. Thanks LYKO! ❤️ Their minimalist style and inspiration from nature really reflect in the makeup. This isn’t makeup for you if you want super dramatic results, but rather for you who like a light, airbrushed feel. The shimmer and glow are really nice, and it’s quick to achieve a glowing, soft, and natural look. The products aren’t super pigmented, which I actually think fits the whole concept. It’s hard to go too heavy, and you can build up the result swipe by swipe. It’s perfect if you like a light touch. I especially liked the Glow Primer. On its own, it’s very glowy and can highlight texture, but under foundation, I think it gives the skin a really nice, hydrated appearance. The consistency is also very thin, which makes it feel light and comfortable on the skin. The eyeshadows also became a favorite! I will definitely reach for them on days I want a soft and natural makeup. As I said – for you who don’t want extremely pigmented shadows but a natural look you can build up. Blush and bronzer match the same feel, easy to build up and with a really nice, golden glow. ✨ The lip oil was almost exactly my lip color. Incredibly nice and I think it was soft and comfortable on the lips. Overall, the collection feels very Estelle & Thild. Over the past year, I have truly fallen in love with Maria Nila's products. 🤍 So far, it's probably the brand that has most consistently given me that really soft result that I love. I've previously tried, among others, Gloss Coat and the True Soft hair mask, and when this Creator Deal showed up with their Heal Shampoo, Conditioner, and True Soft Argan Oil, I was extremely happy. And the timing could hardly have been better. I had been REALLY COLD, and when the package arrived, I felt something like: now I need a bath and a proper hair wash NOW. 😂 I also took the chance to use the True Soft mask and came out like a new person. 🧖♀️ Since then, I've been using Heal Shampoo & Conditioner repeatedly for about a week. So what is my first impression?? My hair feels above all so CLEAN and LIGHT afterwards. ✨ I have a lot of hair, and sometimes it almost feels heavy on my head, so much that I get headaches, but with Heal I get that feeling that every single hair strand kind of lies so lightly and almost lifts? 😂 Clean, airy, and soft without feeling weighed down. Very nice feeling. True Soft Argan Oil, however, I'm not quite as sold on yet. It's light and nice as an everyday oil, but my dry and slightly frizzy hair seems to want a bit more of an SOS type oil. For example, when I've curled my hair and the ends look dry and stringy, I like to have something a bit heavier and more intensely moisturizing. So I haven't gotten that immediate WOW effect from the oil yet, but I definitely want to keep using it before I decide completely. 🤍 If I compare the feeling with Kevin Murphy Hydrate Me, which I've also used, I'd say Hydrate Me gives me more of that heavier, moisturizing feeling while Heal leaves the hair incredibly clean, airy, and light. Tinted Balm Serum
Sometimes products deserve a second chance 🥺 I’m always amazed at how the way you experience products changes over time. It’s not really surprising because especially the skin changes with cycles, seasons (sunburn), stress, and well-being. It’s natural that one product suits the skin for a while but another suits better at another time. Even application techniques are learned, developed, and change over time. What does your hair need?
Thank you Lyko for the incredible chance to use the Kevin Murphy Hydrate me series and detox wash. 💙 I actually used these a few years ago on recommendation from my hairdresser, but back then it didn’t do much for my hair, so I thought it was a bit of unnecessary money. Since then, I’ve understood that sometimes it’s not the product that’s wrong, but that your hair simply didn’t need it at that time. Now my hair is drier and bleached, and I need a lot of moisture. Also detox because I use a lot of silver products and other hair care products that easily cause some buildup. As my hair is now, I LOVE the hydrate series. Detox feels like it almost empties the hair of everything – it feels so clean 😅, and after that it’s incredibly important to follow up with moisture. Then hydrate me wash and rinse fit perfectly. My hair drinks it all up without feeling heavy. Would definitely use again
I’m testing this hair oil from L’Oréal Professionnel as a test pilot via Smartson, and here is my honest review. I have used the oil frequently for a few days, both after showering and on dry hair. Usage: The bottle feels easy to use, and although it needs to be shaken before application, I don’t find that to be a problem. The oil has a fairly runny consistency, which makes it easy to distribute and feels economical. About my hair: After bleaching my hair, it became significantly drier and rougher, especially when wet. It has also been harder to detangle. Result: The first thing I noticed was actually that my hair felt less rough already when it was wet. Right after applying, it became much easier to brush through and the hair felt softer. When the hair dried, I felt it was softer, looked shinier, and had a nice finish. I’ve tried many hair oils before, but many mostly give a nice finish right after application. After a few hours, the hair often feels about the same as before again. This one feels a bit different. The softness lasts longer, and after a few days of use, I actually think even my wet hair feels less rough than before. Feel: The oil doesn’t weigh down my fine hair but makes it feel soft, smooth, and gathers the lengths without feeling greasy. I think this suits you if you have dry, bleached, or damaged hair and want to give your hair more care. I don’t know if it repairs the hair after just a few days of use, but it definitely feels more nourishing than many other hair oils I’ve tried. Summary: I give it 4 out of 5 stars because it has made a clear difference for my hair and become a product I want to continue using. It actually exceeded my expectations, but to get full marks, I would have wished my bleached hair felt even softer and silkier all the way to the ends. Poorly pigmented eyeshadows are always something negative… or? 👀 I tested palettes from By Lyko and was actually a bit surprised. They swatch nicely, but on the eyelids the pigment is more buildable than intense. For those who love really dramatic looks, they might feel a bit too soft, but for those who love natural makeup and soft glam, I actually think it’s an advantage. It’s hard to accidentally take too much color, which makes them kind of easy to work with in a way. My favorite was Honey Drizzle. ✨ Have you tried By Lyko’s eyeshadows? Repair oil
Okay, I have damaged my hair and am prescribed a "repair" phase and went into the Lyko store for a hair oil… BUT was recommended this one from Waterclouds! It feels very light when you put it in your hair while also feeling rich and nourishing for the hair. Basically exactly what I want in a hair oil – not feeling too sticky and heavy. It also gives a nice shine to the hair and melts curls together nicely. Mixed feelings - Good but tricky?
I’ve also posted a video about this, but here’s the review I give it. I’m genuinely mixed. Fascinated… but also a bit disappointed? Shade match was wrong on me (Light Neutral 2.5). This one generally seems darker, so I actually think you need to go lighter than you think. It feels very “wet” on the skin, you can feel the foundation, but without it feeling heavy. What I reacted to the most is that the formula feels quite stubborn to work with. You really have to work it in, so I think this is a foundation that requires some technique. At the same time, it still gives a very nice base. I find it covering and glowing without being too much, and makeup sits nicely on top.
