    A nice ascorbic acid serum

Ascorbic acid is known to be unstable, so it's important to use the product within a few months. You can store it in the fridge.

Affordable Vitamin C product, but no visible results for me

I have used Geek & Gorgeous C-Glow daily for exactly three months. The serum has a light texture that absorbs quickly and works well with other skincare. Unfortunately, I did not notice any clear improvement in skin radiance or tone during the test period. I also found the scent quite strong and somewhat reminiscent of fish oil or omega 3, which detracted from the overall impression for me. One aspect I do think is worth highlighting is the product's shelf life. According to the manufacturer, the serum lasts eight months from production and new batches are produced continuously. However, my bottle only had about three months left until the expiration date when I received it. This meant I had to open and start using the product immediately, without the option to plan when I wanted to introduce it into my skincare routine. For me, this is a downside as I prefer to have some flexibility when trying new products. A tip for other users is to store the serum in the refrigerator. I find that it helps the product feel fresh longer, while also giving a cool and pleasant sensation upon application. In summary, I appreciate the idea behind a fresh Vitamin C formula and the well-thought-out ingredient list, but the product did not meet my personal expectations regarding user experience and results. #lykomission #lykoreview

    Affordable favorite๐ŸŒธ

Stable vitamin C serum that does not irritate my skin. Contains 15% ascorbic acid and also ferulic acid which stabilizes the ascorbic acid. Opened packaging is durable for about 3 months if stored in the fridge. But with daily use, itโ€™s no problem. It should be clear in color and mine have never oxidized. This serum has the classic sausage juice smell๐ŸŒญ But you get used to it quickly๐Ÿ˜‚ My skin becomes clearer and gets a nice glow with daily use. Really recommend it to those who canโ€™t tolerate higher percentages of vitamin C๐Ÿ‹ Great product๐Ÿ’“ #lykorview #cvitamin

Will this be in stock soon?

I have a watch on this, but it sells out before I get to click buy. Do you get very few in each time? And will it be back in stock soon?

    Light serum

Of the ones I've tried so far, this seems to be a good vitamin C serum. Looking forward to seeing if it shows any results๐Ÿฅฐ No irritation or anything like that on my skin. The only negative is that the consistency is very runny, like water. Which makes it a bit difficult to apply without it running off your fingers and skin. You just have to be very quick๐Ÿ˜… I wish it had a slightly thicker consistency #lykoreview

    From skeptical to saved! โญ๏ธโญ๏ธโญ๏ธโญ๏ธโญ๏ธ

Skin type: oily/combination Skin issues: tendency to deep, underground pimples, Rosacea, PIE. As a person with Rosacea, I have always been afraid to try vitamin C for fear that my skin wouldnโ€™t tolerate itโ€ฆ so I never took the chance. Iโ€™ve had skin problems since my youth, and even prescription creams havenโ€™t given the effect I hoped for. So what was a vitamin C serum supposed to do anyway? After years of problems, I thought, screw it! โ€ฆ and I am simply blown away. This has been a total game-changer for me. As someone who has been forced to be above average interested in skincare, I did my research: ๐Ÿงด contains 15% pure L-ascorbic acid in a light, water-based formula (perfect for oily skin girlies) with a low pH of 3.2โ€“3.4. This provides optimal conditions for absorption into the skin. The low pH can also contribute to a mild exfoliating effect for some (at least thatโ€™s how it feels for me). I havenโ€™t had a SINGLE acne breakout (โ€ผ๏ธknock on wood) since I started with C-Glow, and my skin feels significantly less oily throughout the day. Vitamin C is best known for its effect on pigmentation spots (PIH), but personally, I feel it has had a big effect on my post-inflammatory redness (PIE). The red spots after acne used to last for several months (๐Ÿ˜ข), but now they have faded significantly and new ones disappear much faster than before. Together with ferulic acid and vitamin E, the formula is more stable and provides an effective antioxidant combination. What has perhaps surprised me the most is that I also experience less general redness in my skin. With rosacea, I was afraid a strong vitamin C serum would make my skin worse, but for me, it has actually been the opposite. I believe the reduction in PIE has helped contribute to this. My opinion: My skin hasnโ€™t become perfect in two months, but after two months I have better skin than Iโ€™ve had in my entire adult life. WARNINGโ€ผ๏ธโš ๏ธ If you have rosacea or very sensitive skin, you should tread carefully. Iโ€™ve been lucky to tolerate it well, but that concentration of L-ascorbic acid is too strong for many in this group. Temporary tingling/stinging and slight redness are to be expected, but if the skin burns or becomes clearly irritated, thatโ€™s a sign of ๐Ÿ›‘โœ‹๐Ÿผ. I must be clear that I have oily/combination skin which likely contributes to my tolerance. We all have different skin, and what works for me doesnโ€™t necessarily work for youโ€ฆ but if youโ€™re going to invest in a vitamin C serum, I recommend starting here. My tips: โœจ Use the product daily! โœจ Be consistent with your skincare routine, small things over time make a big difference. โœจ Remember SPF! โ˜€๏ธ #love

    Storage

How should one store this? In a dark space inside the bathroom? At the same time, it's room temperature and sometimes warmer due to the shower. Or in the fridge? The risk is that I might forget the product there instead.

Hi Frida! ๐Ÿ‘‹๐Ÿผ๐Ÿ˜Š The vitamin C serum is quite sensitive to light, heat, and air, so how you store it really affects how long it stays stable and effective ๐Ÿค— The best is to store it cool and dark. A refrigerator is absolutely optimal if you want to extend its shelf life, but itโ€™s not a must; a cool cabinet outside the bathroom also works really well ๐Ÿซถ๐Ÿผ The bathroom usually works fine too if you have a cabinet, but keep in mind that heat and steam from the shower can affect stability over time. Have a great day continuing โ˜€๏ธ

    Smell

The product smells very strong. I know ferulic acid can cause some smell, but I have had other vitamin C serums that are nowhere near as strong smelling as this one. Unfortunately, it has a bit of a "sour" smell.

    Burnt my skin

I've tried to incorporate this product into my routine for some months now, but no matter how carefully or slowly I introduce it I always end up with a damaged skin barrier. I believe the product itself would be very effective for people who can tolerate it, but sadly not for me ๐Ÿ˜ข I did not have any issue with the smell as other reviews had though!

Hi Aja! ๐Ÿ‘‹ Thank you for sharing your experience of Geek & Gorgeous C-Glow Serum ๐Ÿ’› Sorry to hear that your skin didnโ€™t seem to tolerate the product, despite introducing it carefully. Vitamin C can be active and sometimes feel too strong for sensitive or already stressed skin, even when used gradually. Feel free to get in touch if youโ€™d like tips on products in the skincare jungle. All the best!

A super-light, water-like 15% Vitamin C + extra antioxidants (Ferulic Acid & a smaller amount of Vitamin E) formula to give the skin environmental protection, boost collagen & even the skin tone. Skin type:ย all skin types - please do a patch test if you have sensitive skin
Skin concern:ย dark spots, aging, dull & uneven skin Pure Vitamin C (or Ascorbic Acid) is a 3-in-1, clinically proven superstar that gives the skin environmental protection (antioxidant), boosts the skin's own collagen production and fades hyperpigmentation. This water-light formula contains 15% Vitamin C & extra antioxidants to give a healthy glow, even and firm the skin.ย The disadvantage of pure Vitamin C is that it is super unstable, and hard to formulate with. This formula uses a low pH and extra antioxidants to help to stabilize Vitamin C, but even like this, C-Glow comes with a relatively short, 8 months shelf-life.ย key ingredients:
Vitamin Cย (ascorbic acid โ€“ 15%) โ€“ย A clinically proven active that gives the skin environmental protection (antioxidant), boosts collagen production and fades hyperpigmentation. Also gives an instant glow to the skin.
Ferulic acid + Vitamin Eย โ€“ Antioxidants that help to stabilize Vitamin C and increase its antioxidant power. The formula contains a high amount of Ferulic Acid, and a smaller amount of vitamin E.
Dimethyl Isosorbideย โ€“ A new-generation solvent that aids the proper penetration of Vitamin C + solubilizes the high amount of Ferulic Acid into the formula.ย

Use:
Apply a few drops to the face after cleansing, before using other serums and/or creams. Ideal to use in the AM but can be applied PM as well. As the C-Glow formula has a water-like texture, it is recommended that you put a drop directly onto your face and quickly pat it on with your other hand.
