Difficult to assess the effect after only 4 weeks of use..
I received this exciting hair product for testing as #LYKOINFLUTESTER. This is a strengthening serum from Kérastase that, according to the product description, is supposed to prevent hair loss due to hair breaking. The serum has ingredients that are supposed to make the hair more resilient and minimize hair loss. The serum is supposed to strengthen and care for the naturally protective barrier in the scalp. The serum should be used once daily in the morning or before bedtime. You can apply up to 4 doses to a dry or towel-dried scalp, section by section. 1 dose = 1 pipette to the mark. The serum should be lightly massaged in and not rinsed out. I was super excited to test this serum since after three pregnancies (six years since the last) I have gotten thinning around the hairline on my forehead. Here, the hair grows extremely poorly, and the little that grows gets a maximum of 6 cm long. Exciting to see if this serum could help. I also generally have hair that never gets as long as I want because it breaks and splits easily. I otherwise have medium-length, Nordic, fine hair with slightly bleached ends - otherwise untreated. I’m starting to go gray (I’m 43 years old). These are my thoughts on the product after 3.5 weeks of use: ✅ Lovely container that looks good on the bathroom shelf ✅ Good pipette that makes application easy, doesn’t drip. ✅ The product doesn’t feel sticky on the hands afterwards (even though you should of course wash it off) ✅ The hair doesn’t feel greasy at all when used (I’ve used it in the evening) 🚨 Quite okay scent (but relatively strong). Smells a bit masculine ❌ The bottle is not very economical in use and the price is quite high. I applied 4 doses each time and used up the product in 4 weeks. ❌ No visible results after four weeks. As an influencer, I had the honor of testing this product. The packaging: In glass that feels sleek and luxurious with a smart pipette. So pretty with the ombre colors too. The consistency is gel-like and wonderfully cooling. Good consistency as it doesn't run out so easily 👌. It smells so good, both orange/citrus and a bit of woody undertone yum. Very fresh scent. I feel that the scent settles after a while, which I think is good since I have worked in healthcare. Smells mild but not too strong after a few hours. The pipette has a good clear marking for how much to take and is easy to handle 👌. When I apply the serum, I feel fresh. But my hair gets greasy, and I find it stiff/chunky after it dries. I don't like that it gives me such a greasy impression, something I really work to avoid. Even the next day, I find my hair greasier and with a strange slightly stiffer feeling in my hair. Which I don't like. I've been using it for a while now and notice no significant difference in my hair at all. I assume you need to use it longer. But I'm most irritated that my hair feels so greasy after a while within 1 hour of application for me unfortunately. So I think it's a ridiculously expensive product to give me greasier hair and no difference in hair quality, but I assume you need to use it for more than 2 weeks. I'm not that impressed yet, but I get to test it a bit longer to see if it gets better going forward. But I don't like the feeling in my hair after it has been a while. Luxury Serum for Hair Loss
This is a luxurious hair serum for hair loss caused by weakened hair and breakage, and feels more like a treatment product than a regular styling serum. I received and tested Kérastase Genesis for free as a Smartson test pilot. Beautiful bottle, with an easy pipette that is clearly marked with how much to apply. The scent is lovely, and the serum doesn't make my hair greasy. I was curious if it could help with my hair falling out, especially at my center part. Incredibly nice product
I have tested the product for 4 weeks. It has been a pleasure. It doesn't make the scalp greasy, doesn't weigh the hair down - so it doesn't clump. It has a light fresh scent that isn't overpowering. I struggle with an irritated scalp that always itches. That stopped after 3 days with this product. I feel like I have had fewer broken hairs and less falling out, but it's hard to assess after 4 weeks. I am very happy with the product and would recommend it. It is definitely a new favorite! I have experienced hair loss in my temples after two pregnancies and long breastfeeding periods. The product itself smells lovely and is nice to use. I have now tried this for 3 months and have bought it several times - there is a noticeable difference. Baby hairs are now sticking up everywhere. But it takes time! No Wow effect like many talk about though. The best thing about this is that my dry, flaky scalp that I had problems with disappeared after I had used this for about 2 weeks. The difference is visible, but considering the price, it brings the rating down to 4/5. A few tips that have worked for me: • You don’t need 4 pipettes every time. Luxurious hair fragrance or real thickening?
I usually have very high hopes for the Kérastase brand, but this time I have to be the voice of reason for everyone considering buying this serum. After a thorough test, my opinion is clear: this is not a product worth its price ❗️ What went wrong❓ Lack of results: I used the serum alternately with another treatment. When I stopped using Kérastase to check its real impact, my hair continued to grow very quickly, and I had a surge of new baby hairs – which confirmed that the entire success belonged to the cheaper treatment, not this serum. Efficiency: Very poor. Despite following the manufacturer's recommendations, the product disappears from the bottle in the blink of an eye, which is disappointing at this price. ✅Are there any positives? To not be too negative, the product has its advantages. The scent is absolutely beautiful – slightly citrusy and lasts a long time in the hair. A huge plus for the fact that the serum does not make the scalp greasy when applied to dry hair. Too strong scent
One advantage is that the hair doesn't get greasy from this serum even though it should be massaged into the scalp. I already have an oily scalp/oily hair that easily gets greasy with touch or products, but with this serum, the hair felt "clean". However, I experience that the serum smells very strong. I am currently pregnant while testing/writing, so I have had difficulty applying the product. I haven't seen a noticeable difference. After using about half the bottle, I would like to share my experience. I have previously had some hair loss, and after bleaching, my hair was damaged and needed time to recover. I have used the serum every evening, and I feel that my hair looks significantly fuller than before. The scent is also very pleasant. I was initially worried that the product would make my hair oily, but once it has dried after about five minutes, you can't see at all that oil has been applied. I can't say for sure that I've had noticeable new hair growth, but I notice small new hairs in areas that previously felt sparser. My hair has also gotten longer while using the serum, which feels very positive. I am super satisfied and grateful to Lyko for giving me the chance to win and test this serum. Strong scent
I've only used it a couple of times because it smells very strong and reminds me of men's perfume. My hair also feels quite greasy after application.
