    No major difference…

I tested the Maria Nila Cool Cream in hopes of getting a cooler tone and refreshing my color between salon visits. Unfortunately, I didn’t notice any major difference in the results. In the before-and-after pictures (right is after), you can see that the tone in the hair is basically the same – no noticeable toning down of the warm shades that I had expected. The positive is that the hair felt soft and moisturized after use, and the product is easy to apply. But when it comes to the promised color effect and cooling of the tone, it unfortunately didn’t live up to my expectations. I would say that this might be a product that works better for someone with an already cool tone who just wants to maintain the color, rather than actively neutralizing warmth. #marianila #hairreview #haircare #lyko #lykolooken #hårvård #blondhair #lykomission

I think there are a bit too weak pigments in it for your hair shade, I think it works better on lighter hair 🙂 I have tried Revlon's color packs and think they are better, and there are several "cool" shades you can use on blonde hair. One that has something with "mauve" (mauve blonde) and one that is called "light beige". I can also recommend Fanola's "no yellow" silver shampoo. Very affordable and has a bit more blue pigment (which is good for darker blonde hair) without risking being discolored.

    No color

I am so disappointed. I am blonde and wanted a pastel pink tone, so I bought pearl rose. It gave me no pigment at all, looks exactly like before.

Have you dyed your hair before, or is it uncolored?

    Wow

Love this product that has helped me so much to get rid of uneven colors in my hair like the sun has bleached it!😍 I am naturally a brunette but have dyed fully blonde and then dyed back… then it’s common for the color to fade and become very warm and “orange” So I recommend this product! Wella professional toning

I dyed my hair with Wella professional Colour touch Deep Brown Chocolate 6/7. Does this hair treatment suit it or should I stick to Wella's own product launches?

Hello again! 🤍 If you want to keep about the same depth but get a more neutral brown tone, I would rather recommend 6.5 Cacao 🤎 4.10 Cacao Intense is significantly darker and more intense ✨ All the best!

    Worthless

I don't have particularly dark hair, but this made no difference in color at all. If you want a hair mask that makes your hair soft but colors everything except your own hair, it's perfect. Don't waste money on this expensive product!

    Caramel Brown

I have naturally brown hair with many blonde highlights, used caramel brown. Started by testing on two spots in the underhair, the blonde highlights became more pink and the red tone came out clearly. But in the brown hair it looked nice. So I do not recommend it for anyone with bleached/blonde hair.

    Cool cream

I bleach highlights at the hairdresser without toning. After a color analysis, I should avoid silver tones but still keep the hair cool. Got a tip about this to remove the yellow pigments and move towards a more ashy tone. However, I'm worried it might get dark? After reading some reviews. Do you think this product could be good for my hair and what I want to try to achieve? Cool, without silver and still maintain lightness?

Hi! I absolutely understand your concern! 😊 Maria Nila Colour Refresh 8.1 Cool Cream can be a good option for what you describe, as it adds cool pigments that tone down yellow/warm tones and give a cooler impression without being a classic silver shampoo/silver treatment. It is also temporary and gradually washes out, usually after a few washes 💜 However, I would be a bit cautious with the processing time since you have bleached highlights. Porous/bleached areas can absorb pigment significantly more than the rest of the hair, which is one reason some people experience the hair looking darker or more intense in tone. This does not mean the product actually lightens or darkens the hair permanently, but it can visually appear darker when the warm pigments are toned down and the hair gets a cooler tone. If your goal is cool but still light and without a distinct silver-gray feeling, I would therefore recommend starting carefully and doing a test strand first! You can also start with a short processing time and increase it at the next use if you want more effect. That way you see how your specific highlights react before applying to the whole hair ✨ An important thing is also that Colour Refresh cannot lighten the hair, so it will not make the highlights darker permanently, but the color pigments can give a deeper/cooler visual impression. Maria Nila also recommends that the product not be used before bleaching, so please inform your hairdresser if you use it before future highlighting treatments. Based on what you describe, I think 8.1 Cool Cream is worth trying, but I would definitely start with a test strand to make sure you get exactly the cool, light beige/ashy feeling you are after 🤍 Good luck!

    Beige Brown

The beige-brown color on highlighted hair. Brown and light highlights. The hair leans towards wine red/purple, especially the lighter highlights. Also gives a nice shine. Probably works well on hair without highlights too.
