Does what it should🥰
This is a moisturizing shampoo suitable for all hair types. I think it worked well on my dry, thick, and Nordic hair🥰 I also think it reduced frizz well☺️ Minus for the fact that I thought it smelled quite bad😅 Does the job and I will definitely use it up, but because of the smell, I probably won't buy it again☺️ #lykoreview #lyckocreatordeal #lykocreator #kevinmurphy #haircare

Moisturizing 🫧
Kevin Murphy Hydrate-Me shampoo is a pretty decent shampoo that is a good option when you want to give your hair moisture and make it feel softer. However, I probably wouldn’t choose this shampoo as the only option in the shower. I’ll explain why further down. Background about my hair: It’s thin (classic Scandinavian), dry with bleached lengths. I also have periods with itchy scalp. 🫧 The first impression is always the bottle’s appearance and design. Nice and sleek bottle. I like the unique square shape. However, it’s hard to open. I’ve worn my thumb out until it’s sore sometimes, so I have to use my nails instead. Not optimal, I think. ✨️ Nice pearly color and thick but pleasant consistency. Doesn’t need much product to create a lovely lather. So I’d say the shampoo is economical. 🫧 Very nice scent, though somewhat intense, so it can be a bit much for people sensitive to strong fragrances. Its scent includes patchouli and light citrus notes with floral undertones. ✨️ Hair feels cared for and moisturized after washing, which is a big plus for my dry, bleached hair. However, I feel the shampoo doesn’t quite clean well enough, especially if I’ve used a lot of styling products or if the hair feels extra greasy. For me, it works best when I want a mild and moisturizing shampoo, but I wish it gave a slightly cleaner feeling. In summary: A good and moisturizing shampoo for dry and bleached hair, but the cleansing could be better. Works well as a complement when you want to give extra moisture and nourishment to the hair. I loved Kevin Murphy's products in my early 20s, then they were forgotten until I was reminded of them by Lyko. But here the disappointment was big, possibly because of the expectations I had. I had to close the lid quickly because the scent was so intense that I feared a migraine attack. I think it smelled somewhat like tiger balm.. I also don't think the packaging is a plus, rather the opposite. Didn't fit on the shower shelf with the conditioner and soaps for my husband and me.. #lykocreator #creatorkevinmurphy

Luxurious shampoo that tames frizz, adds shine, and plenty of moisture
This shampoo has been a staple in my shower for seven weeks now, so I thought it was time for a review. My hair is thick and full with both waves and curls. It can therefore quickly feel dull, dry, frizzy, and unmanageable – and needs a lot of moisture and care. One advantage is that it doesn’t get greasy quickly, and I only need to wash my hair a couple of times a week, despite having a somewhat dry and sensitive scalp. I really liked this one, and there’s no doubt it gives the hair a good dose of moisture. My hair feels so soft and clean after using this. Because it’s so moisturizing, it can weigh the hair down a bit, but that’s minimal and in my case contributes to a smoother and shinier look! ✨ It smells really nice without being too strong or overpowering, and the scent fades quite quickly. It’s gentle on the scalp and hasn’t caused any irritation. Together with the simple but classic packaging, this leads to a luxurious experience. The only downside is that I have to use a bit more product than usual to get my hair properly clean, so it’s not very economical. All in all, I’m very satisfied and can definitely recommend this! Moisturizing
This smells nice and spicy. I'm usually a bit wary of moisturizing shampoos because I find my hair gets oily quickly, which I've also partly experienced with this one. However, I feel that my lengths have benefited from this, and I easily solve the problem by using a different shampoo just on my scalp. I have quite thin/fine hair strands and a scalp that gets oily easily. What lowers the rating, however, is the packaging, which I don't find very convenient. The lid was also very tight and hard to open. Something I've experienced with several of these packages. I like it but will probably not buy it again. #lykocreator

Made my hair so soft and fresh
Since I had previously used a silicone-based shampoo, I had to give this shampoo some time before all the silicone was washed out of my hair, which made my hair very rough and felt like straw at first, but when I combined this shampoo with their detox shampoo, the process went faster, so after a few washes my hair became soft and fresh again after using it, and now it’s perfect for my dry and frizzy hair without feeling dirty faster. I also notice that my hair gets more volume. I combine this shampoo with the conditioner from the same series 👌🏻 However, the shampoo has a very special and intense scent. It’s said to smell like bergamot (citrus) combined with exotic fruit extracts (including kakadu plum). But I also think the scent smells a bit spicy and not at all like pure citrus. It definitely doesn’t smell like the classic shampoos but has a heavier and spicier scent that lingers in the hair like a perfume. So if you have trouble with stronger scents, this is not for you. Personally, I can’t quite decide what I think about the scent. Whether I like it or not, but I like it more and more the longer I use the shampoo. My husband asked if I bought a new perfume 😅 The downside is the packaging though. I’m not quite used to how to open it and have managed to get a sore thumb because it’s so hard to open the cap. #creatorkevinmurphy #kevinmurphy #lykoreview

Hopeless design
Kevin Murphy kind of ruins it for himself with hopeless design and strongly scented products. First of all, the cap is hard to open, even though I have some nails. It doesn’t get better either after several uses. And then the bottle is square and the cap is on the side. You have to take the bottle out of the shower shelf and then struggle with the cap. This is not a design for those with reduced finger dexterity. The scent is also very strong, and it lingers. I would describe it as a scent of bergamot, lemon, wood, and spices. So not a typical scent you find in cheaper shampoos. The shampoo is good! I have typical Nordic hair, and with menopause it has become a bit dry. When I use this shampoo and conditioner from the same brand and line, the hair becomes soft and shiny. There are plenty of better products within shampoo and conditioner that I have tested (and I have tested a lot like #lykoinflutester over 4 years). But not good enough to bother transferring them into pump bottles. The product was a special offer to Lyko Creators.

  Wibeke 🧼🧴🫧🌟 I think there should be unscented sunscreen in many environments because anyone with some kind of sensitivity can feel really bad for several days if someone passes by with a very strong scent from hair, clothes, or body. For example, my husband gets asthma very easily and then he can't work, so there are big consequences if someone hasn't thought it through (why people drench their laundry in perfumed detergents and fabric softeners is a mystery to me🤔). Really good to mention the strength of the perfume in reviews, I think 👍🥰

Hydrate-Me Wash
I think Kevin Murphy Hydrate-Me Wash is a good shampoo that works well if your hair needs extra moisture. It has a creamy texture that is pleasant to use, and it leaves the hair soft and well hydrated. The only thing I'm not so fond of is the scent. I find it smells a bit strange and not quite to my taste. Additionally, I feel it doesn't cleanse the hair as well as a more purifying shampoo, so I prefer to use it together with a shampoo that focuses more on cleansing. All in all, this is a good moisturizing shampoo that makes the hair soft and hydrated, especially when combined with a shampoo that provides a deeper cleanse. My hair is a bit damaged at the ends and dry but otherwise well hydrated #creatorkevinmurphy

Very satisfied

Not worth the money
My hair at least becomes very tangled and stiff. Otherwise, I have pretty decent hair quality, a bit dry but not bleached and I don't use heat styling at all. But the scent lasts a long time at least.
