Redken did it again! 🙏
Redken rarely disappoints me.. My hair, which is curly and thick, is hard to manage and hard to style. Frizz, dryness, and split ends that can be compared to a hay bale out on a hot summer day 🤯 But Redken actually succeeded with what many other products have disappointed me over in the past.. even products that are meant solely for frizzy hair have a hard time taming or nourishing my unruly hair. So, what benefits did I find in this product..? ●Less frizz! Hallelujah 👏 ●Visibly more shine ✨️ ●Softer and more manageable hair Did I find any downsides then..? Yes, I would call it a small luxury problem.. because my hair was so much softer (and hydrated?) I had trouble with the styling holding when I curled my hair, for example. Normally, I don’t need to use texture sprays or similar, but now the hair was so soft that the styling fell apart quite quickly 🤭 Another thing I noticed was that I felt like my hair got greasy a little faster than usual.. not a big problem for me, but it might be good to know 😊 I would have posted before and after pictures if it weren’t for the fact that I’m in a phase where I’m losing a lot of hair due to personal reasons. That wouldn’t give a fair representation of it. But I promise you would have seen the difference! 🙏 I believe you would notice a significant difference in your hair quality over time when using this series. I have tested the Redken Acidic Bonding Concentrate Shampoo, Acidic Bonding Concentrate Conditioner, and Acidic Bonding Concentrate 5-Min Mask together. Otherwise, good scent, good bottle, and so on! My hair looked unwashed and oily
🙋♀️ My hair I have dry medium long hair. It is not treated in any way. My hair is naturally wavy and it’s very thin/fine so it gets damaged and dry at the ends very easily. I use hair straightener almost daily. 🧴 The packaging This product comes in a bottle with a holographic design. I do have to admit, it’s very similar to the shampoo bottle and I have mixed them up a few times so it would be nice if the design for either of these was different to avoid this. 👀 The texture and looks The product is white in color. The consistency is like a paste, very thick. It lathers up very easily so you don’t need a big amount to cover your whole hair. Which is good. 👃 The smell Like the shampoo from the same line, it’s VERY citrusy smell. It lingers after washing and drying so not recommended for smell sensitive people. 🤔 My opinion Before using this conditioner, I always first washed my hair with shampoo from the same line. And as with the shampoo, I also first noticed the smell and the AHA and citric acid components. The smell is overpowering and the AHA and citric acid did nothing for me except making me worried about sun damage to my scalp. Not a fan. I didn’t see any benefits from this conditioner. If anything, my hair felt dry at the ends and extremely greasy on the top/middle. It felt/looked so greasy, it looked like I haven’t washed my hair for weeks. You know the feeling when you have a lot of product in your hair and it just makes your hair oily? That’s how it felt after using this conditioner. I rinsed my hair super well, until the water was not soaping any more to be sure I got all of the product out, but still, it felt like there was more stuck in my hair. A must-have for damaged hair
I have used Redken Acidic Bonding Concentrate Conditioner along with the shampoo from the same series, and my hair has become much softer and easier to manage. I have quite dry and damaged hair after bleaching and heat styling tools, and this conditioner makes the hair feel really nourished without becoming greasy or heavy. What I like best is how smooth and shiny the hair becomes after washing. It also helps a lot against frizz and dry ends. The scent is very fresh and luxurious, a bit like after a visit to the hairdresser. I actually feel that my hair looks healthier after just a few weeks of use. A bit pricey, but definitely worth it if you have damaged or treated hair. Better than the shampoo
Fresh and fruity scent, nice bottle (very similar to the shampoo, so easy to mistake) that stands steady when you tip it upside down. Makes it easy to get all the product out. Thick and rich in consistency, but easy to distribute. The hair falls nicely (I have straight and fine hair, normal scalp) and it feels stronger. It is shiny and stays that way for a long time. Better than the shampoo which makes the hair greasy quite quickly. A bit skeptical about the advice to go out in sunlight afterwards, but I haven't noticed anything. Smartson tester
I have been allowed to test some products from this hair care series by Redken. I really like more crazy hair colors and usually bleach my hair quite a bit to make these colors show up better and last longer. My hair is therefore quite damaged from these treatments. This Acidic Bonding series is made precisely for this. My hair is very typically Nordic, extremely thin fine strands, split dry ends but otherwise tends to get oily easily. This conditioner is okay in my eyes. It has a thick and nice consistency that is easy to distribute in the hair. And it smells really good. For my damaged hair, it is not enough. At least not for the whole hair. The hair became soft and shiny but it did not help my ends which were still dry and frizzy after use. Makes hair super soft
I really liked the conditioner because it makes my hair super soft and much easier to comb. I have curly hair, and after straightening it, the ends often look drier, but with this product, they stay smoother and nourished. The scent is also nice and lasts a long time. The downside is that it can be a bit strong on fine hair if you use too much. I started using a smaller amount, and that's how the effect is best.5 views
