Redken did it again! 🙏
Redken rarely disappoints me.. My hair, which is curly and thick, is hard to manage and hard to style. Frizz, dryness, and split ends that can be compared to a hay bale out on a hot summer day 🤯 But Redken actually succeeded with what many other products have disappointed me over in the past.. even products that are meant solely for frizzy hair have a hard time taming or nourishing my unruly hair. So, what benefits did I find in this product..? ●Less frizz! Hallelujah 👏 ●Visibly more shine ✨️ ●Softer and more manageable hair Did I find any downsides then..? Yes, I would call it a small luxury problem.. because my hair was so much softer (and hydrated?) I had trouble with the styling holding when I curled my hair, for example. Normally, I don’t need to use texture sprays or similar, but now the hair was so soft that the styling fell apart quite quickly 🤭 Another thing I noticed was that I felt like my hair got greasy a little faster than usual.. not a big problem for me, but it might be good to know 😊 I would have posted before and after pictures if it weren’t for the fact that I’m in a phase where I’m losing a lot of hair due to personal reasons. That wouldn’t give a fair representation of it. But I promise you would have seen the difference! 🙏 I believe you would notice a significant difference in your hair quality over time when using this series. I have tested the Redken Acidic Bonding Concentrate Shampoo, Acidic Bonding Concentrate Conditioner, and Acidic Bonding Concentrate 5-Min Mask together. Otherwise, good scent, good bottle, and so on! My hair looked unwashed and oily
🙋♀️ My hair I have dry medium long hair. It is not treated in any way. My hair is naturally wavy and it’s very thin/fine so it gets damaged and dry at the ends very easily. I use hair straightener almost daily. 🧴 The packaging This product comes in a bottle with a holographic design. I do have to admit, it’s very similar to the shampoo bottle and I have mixed them up a few times so it would be nice if the design for either of these was different to avoid this. 👀 The texture and looks The product is white in color. The consistency is like a paste, very thick. It lathers up very easily so you don’t need a big amount to cover your whole hair. Which is good. 👃 The smell Like the shampoo from the same line, it’s VERY citrusy smell. It lingers after washing and drying so not recommended for smell sensitive people. 🤔 My opinion Before using this conditioner, I always first washed my hair with shampoo from the same line. And as with the shampoo, I also first noticed the smell and the AHA and citric acid components. The smell is overpowering and the AHA and citric acid did nothing for me except making me worried about sun damage to my scalp. Not a fan. I didn’t see any benefits from this conditioner. If anything, my hair felt dry at the ends and extremely greasy on the top/middle. It felt/looked so greasy, it looked like I haven’t washed my hair for weeks. You know the feeling when you have a lot of product in your hair and it just makes your hair oily? That’s how it felt after using this conditioner. I rinsed my hair super well, until the water was not soaping any more to be sure I got all of the product out, but still, it felt like there was more stuck in my hair. A dream for thick and damaged hair
So! This time I tested this series on assignment from Smartson - but it’s not the first time I’ve tried it. Over the past few years, I’ve tried various series to find out what suits my hair best, but after using the Redken Acidic products again, I’m sure I’m done trying other things. I feel like this series gives me the feeling that I’ve been to the hairdresser after every single wash, both in terms of scent and feel. Review of Redken Conditioner
I have used the Redken Concentrate series with both conditioner and aftercare, and I am very satisfied with the result. Already after a short time, I noticed that my hair felt stronger and healthier. It also gained a very nice shine that made it look more lively and well-groomed. As a person with curly hair, I often experience frizz, but this series made a clear difference. The hair became noticeably less frizzy, and my curls were defined in a much nicer and more controlled way. The products do not weigh the hair down but at the same time provide enough moisture and care so that the curls stay soft and bouncy throughout the day. All in all, this is a series I would definitely recommend, especially to those with curls who want more definition, less frizz, and a healthier appearance of the hair. PS! Very important to rinse the products well; the times I didn’t, the hair and curls became greasier. Redken Acidic Bonding Concentrate Conditioner I have also tested the Redken Acidic Bonding Concentrate Conditioner, and it really impresses. The conditioner has a rich and creamy texture that makes the hair incredibly soft and easy to comb through. It helps well against tangles and noticeably reduces frizz. The scent is the same as the shampoo – fresh and pleasant. After use, the hair feels smoother, stronger, and more well-groomed. I also notice that the hair gains more shine. Salon feeling at home
This conditioner has been a real boost for my hair. After two weeks of use, the lengths are much softer, and the hair is easy to comb without breaking. The texture is creamy and spreads well, and I don’t need to use much to get an effect. The scent is mild and pleasant, and the hair feels smooth and hydrated after rinsing. I have been using the Redken Acidic Bonding Concentrate series for a while now, and I was actually positively surprised already after the first wash. I have fine hair strands but a lot of hair, and in addition, my hair is bleached, so it quickly becomes both dry and fragile. Therefore, I am quite picky when it comes to products that promise strength and repair. The scent was the first thing I noticed – fresh, sweet, and pleasant, without being too strong. Already after the first round with shampoo and conditioner, the hair felt softer and smoother, almost as if it had gotten a little lift. It felt less porous and more cohesive, which is rare for bleached hair after just one wash. The leave-in treatment feels good, and it’s positive that it also provides heat protection. Not a match for me
I like the texture of the product itself but unfortunately I don't like the smell and it gets very greasy in the hair, especially for my hair. The packaging is very nice and I think the design is clean and exclusive. Softer hair already after the first wash!
Used this conditioner with its shampoo for the last 2 weeks, and my hair already felt softer after the first wash. I have very damaged hair, broken and frizzy hair of a thick hair type. And I think this Redken Acidic series has made a big difference to my hair! I have previously bought and tried the Redken All Soft series, but this one is much better! My hair feels much softer, healthier, and more "shiny." The scent is refreshing citrus. And the texture is good and spreads easily. Received the product for free to test, but I will buy this again when I run out! For frizzy hair
My hair: Thin and frizzy Medium length I received this series to test and have now used it for two weeks. Personally, I think the packaging doesn’t look very good. But - of course, that’s not essential for the score. The conditioner is not especially smooth or heavy. I don’t feel the smoothness in my hair until I’ve also used leave-in. Smells quite mild.. a bit chemical for my taste, but I’ve received feedback that the hair smells very nice afterwards. The hair feels both smooth and light after treatment with the product series. Not frizzy. Unfortunately, I have to deduct one star because this weight and frizz-free effect doesn’t last. It doesn’t tolerate rain.. or high humidity. I hope the hair holds up better with continued use of the products. Strengthens the hair
I have tested the conditioner together with the shampoo from the same series, and it’s a must to use this right after shampooing. The hair feels smooth and nice right after rinsing, and I find that the hair feels softer and more airy when it’s dry. Decent scent. Citrus-like? Recommended for those who want stronger and healthier hair – especially after bleaching. Best Detangling Conditioner I've Ever Had!
I've been testing this conditioner for about 14 days now, and I'm quite satisfied! The scent is lovely and it does the job of softening the hair. It gives a lot of shine and I was very surprised at how detangling it was! Very good for my fragile, bleached hair. The only thing I didn't like was the consistency of the product; it's like the shampoo, a bit thick in consistency. This makes it a bit tricky to get out of the bottle. The bottle design also means it doesn't stand steadily on its head. But I liked this series so much that I want to continue using it.
