Redken did it again! 🙏
Redken rarely disappoints me.. My hair, which is curly and thick, is hard to manage and hard to style. Frizz, dryness, and split ends that can be compared to a hay bale out on a hot summer day 🤯 But Redken actually succeeded with what many other products have disappointed me over in the past.. even products that are meant solely for frizzy hair have a hard time taming or nourishing my unruly hair. So, what benefits did I find in this product..? ●Less frizz! Hallelujah 👏 ●Visibly more shine ✨️ ●Softer and more manageable hair Did I find any downsides then..? Yes, I would call it a small luxury problem.. because my hair was so much softer (and hydrated?) I had trouble with the styling holding when I curled my hair, for example. Normally, I don’t need to use texture sprays or similar, but now the hair was so soft that the styling fell apart quite quickly 🤭 Another thing I noticed was that I felt like my hair got greasy a little faster than usual.. not a big problem for me, but it might be good to know 😊 I would have posted before and after pictures if it weren’t for the fact that I’m in a phase where I’m losing a lot of hair due to personal reasons. That wouldn’t give a fair representation of it. But I promise you would have seen the difference! 🙏 I believe you would notice a significant difference in your hair quality over time when using this series. I have tested the Redken Acidic Bonding Concentrate Shampoo, Acidic Bonding Concentrate Conditioner, and Acidic Bonding Concentrate 5-Min Mask together. Otherwise, good scent, good bottle, and so on! My hair looked unwashed and oily
🙋♀️ My hair I have dry medium long hair. It is not treated in any way. My hair is naturally wavy and it’s very thin/fine so it gets damaged and dry at the ends very easily. I use hair straightener almost daily. 🧴 The packaging This product comes in a bottle with a holographic design. I do have to admit, it’s very similar to the shampoo bottle and I have mixed them up a few times so it would be nice if the design for either of these was different to avoid this. 👀 The texture and looks The product is white in color. The consistency is like a paste, very thick. It lathers up very easily so you don’t need a big amount to cover your whole hair. Which is good. 👃 The smell Like the shampoo from the same line, it’s VERY citrusy smell. It lingers after washing and drying so not recommended for smell sensitive people. 🤔 My opinion Before using this conditioner, I always first washed my hair with shampoo from the same line. And as with the shampoo, I also first noticed the smell and the AHA and citric acid components. The smell is overpowering and the AHA and citric acid did nothing for me except making me worried about sun damage to my scalp. Not a fan. I didn’t see any benefits from this conditioner. If anything, my hair felt dry at the ends and extremely greasy on the top/middle. It felt/looked so greasy, it looked like I haven’t washed my hair for weeks. You know the feeling when you have a lot of product in your hair and it just makes your hair oily? That’s how it felt after using this conditioner. I rinsed my hair super well, until the water was not soaping any more to be sure I got all of the product out, but still, it felt like there was more stuck in my hair. A decent alternative for dry and damaged hair
I have tested the Redken Acidic Bonding Concentrate Conditioner. The conditioner has a rich and creamy texture. Since I have very long hair, I find that the rich texture means I need to use a bit more product to distribute it evenly through my hair. The conditioner has a fresh and pleasant scent, and the hair feels soft and easy to comb through after use. It gives a feeling that the hair is well cared for after washing. Unfortunately, I find that the conditioner can make my hair a bit heavy, and it gets greasy faster than usual when I use this product. Savior for dry hair
My hair is extra dry after bleaching, but this conditioner makes it feel wonderfully soft and easy to comb through. It is a bit thicker in consistency, and my hair specifically needs a slightly thicker conditioner. Perfect for those of us with thick hair! Redken Acidic Bonding Concentrate Conditioner
I have now tested the Redken Acidic series for a few weeks, I basically have damaged hair with a tendency to frizz. This conditioner has a very thick, almost slightly sticky consistency, but despite that it is easy to distribute in the hair. It smells nice with fresh citrus, the packaging is practical with a flip lid. After using the conditioner, the hair feels softer and smoother, and the hair also had less frizz. And after using the products in this series over time, the hair feels healthier. The only downside is that the hair feels heavier and I therefore have to wash my hair more often. Conditioner
This conditioner made the hair very soft and easy to comb. I like it together with the shampoo. I tend to get dry ends, but the hair felt much smoother and less frizzy after use. Make a Difference
The Acidic Bonding series is designed to strengthen the bonds in the hair and the hair’s resistance to coloring and heat styling. I have bleached hair that is damaged from coloring, and it is dry/frizzy and tangles easily. The conditioner is thick in consistency but still spreads well so you don’t have to use as much each time as many thick/nourishing conditioners often require. The scent is quite fresh, and I think it’s very nice as it makes the hair smell "clean." I have used this together with the shampoo. I really like the conditioner in this series. The hair becomes very smooth, less frizz, easier to manage tangles. It feels like when you rinse it out and dry your hair, there is still something left in the hair. But not in a bad way, more like you don’t need many different products afterward to achieve smooth and shiny hair. It is a bit heavier, so you need to be careful with how much or how often you use it to avoid greasy hair. Good for damaged hair
This is a good conditioner that I feel helps my hair. I have had it highlighted for a few years, and of course, that leaves its mark on the hair. Now I feel that the hair is soft, more pleasant to touch, and much easier to manage. The scent is good, but it probably shouldn’t be used every time as the hair quickly becomes greasy and heavy. I have tested this product on my many years bleached hair. The hair feels fresher and stronger after using this product. Gave lots of moisture to my dry and damaged hair. A must-have for damaged hair
I have used Redken Acidic Bonding Concentrate Conditioner along with the shampoo from the same series, and my hair has become much softer and easier to manage. I have quite dry and damaged hair after bleaching and heat styling tools, and this conditioner makes the hair feel really nourished without becoming greasy or heavy. What I like best is how smooth and shiny the hair becomes after washing. It also helps a lot against frizz and dry ends. The scent is very fresh and luxurious, a bit like after a visit to the hairdresser. I actually feel that my hair looks healthier after just a few weeks of use. A bit pricey, but definitely worth it if you have damaged or treated hair.
