The most important product in the bathroom cabinet
I literally use this for everything: Scalp scrub once a week; Removes product buildup, hair becomes shinier and less oily. Apply to the entire scalp, let it sit after a light massage for 10-15 minutes, and double cleanse with shampoo. For armpits and groin 2 times a week after showering; Removes bacteria that cause sweat odor. As needed every couple of weeks as a gentle scrub for the face like a toner; Helps especially with oily skin and small breakouts. After shaving (not on the same day, otherwise it stings); Removes and prevents ingrown hairs. Treatment for keratosis pilaris on the forearms; Apply to the skin of the forearms 1-2 times a week after showering, wait 15 minutes, and apply cream or oil on top. Foot scrub; 2-3 times a week after showering, apply to the soles of the feet. Let it sit for 15 minutes and apply foot cream and put on socks.13 likes1584 views- 3 monthsNice to hear that the review was helpful! I always apply it to my skin through my hands, so I take about a tablespoon of toner in my hand and then just slather it on my forearms. It's good to let it dry and work for a moment before applying oil, and it shouldn't be washed off. As body oil, I use Weleda's rose oil, but any oil or cream works! For the groin area, I do the same, using a slightly smaller amount (teaspoon) on my hands and just applying it to the edge of my underwear. I don't use any other deodorants. This has especially been a convenient way to stay fresh during the summer. Let's really hope this product is never discontinued. 😆

Hello,
The product name and photo don't match. It's showing the wrong picture. Both are sold as two different product by Ordinary brand. See the pictures attached. Did it work for you?
I've heard a lot about it removing dark spots and more, but I didn't notice anything after using it for a long time, maybe it wasn't for me but works better for others! But I feel like it didn't deserve the hype #lykorview #theordinary1462 views- Skin therapist at Lyko1 weekHeihei Glycolic acid exfoliates the skin and helps to even out skin tone and pigmentation. It is important to be extra careful with UV protection while using products with acids, as these make the skin more sensitive to UV and HEV light - and thus more prone to new pigmentation Depending on how often you use it in relation to the skin's tolerance, it can take up to 2 months before you see an effect on pigmentation spots Wishing you a super nice day!1 likes

The Ordinary Glycolic Acid 7% Exfoliating Toner
Can this be used in the same way on the scalp as Maria Nila's purifying cleans exfoliating serum? Grateful for an answer!😊😊 - 2 weeksverified customer

Usage/Routine
Hi! I’m wondering if this fits into my skincare routine, which I’ll write below. Also, what this does for the skin, I don’t think it’s all mentioned in the description about what it helps with. I’ve also heard that some use this on the body, how and for what in that case? I actually have it at home and want to try using it! ❤️ I use Purito oil cleansing, follow up with All About Clean mild facial soap water-based from Clinique, then toner from Purito Wonder Releaf Centella toner, and then as cream Purito Hydro Wave Deep Sea. ❤️ Thanks! Responses appreciated ❤️1457 views- Customer service at Lyko4 weeksHey Julia Maria Yes, you can use it in your routine, but with some adjustments. Since you are already using gentle products from Purito that soothe and hydrate, glycolic acid can be added as an exfoliating part of your routine. Use it preferably 2-3 times a week in the evening to avoid over-exfoliation Make sure to introduce it slowly and always protect your skin with SPF in the morning! Some use it on their back, legs, arms to reduce bumps. Apply with a cotton pad or hands after showering on dry skin. Follow up with a moisturizing lotion or cream If you notice redness or irritation, reduce usage Good luck and all the best2 likes

Middle of the road
Unsure what the fascination is with this. Completely ordinary toners. So no skin changes or anything after several months of use. I think it's very individual what one experiences in terms of effect. A rating of three, as it could be any toner.2003 viewsto leave a comment
The OrdinaryGlycolic Acid 7% Exfoliating Toner 240 ml
Select size
100 ml240 mlGlycolic Acid 7% Exfoliating Toner (previously Glycolic Acid 7% Toning Solution) is an exfoliator that significantly smoothes skin texture and promotes the appearance of a more even skin tone, as well as more luminous skin, with regular use. It also reduces the appearance of lines and wrinkles. The water-based toner format is suited to daily use.
It contains a 7% concentration of Glycolic acid - a well-studied alpha-hydroxy acid - and a plant-derived Tasmanian Pepperberry derivative, which varies in colour seasonally, and which may cause an apparent colour variation in the formula from time to time.
This formula should not be used on sensitive, peeling or compromised skin. Please refer to the additional sun protection notes and other warnings in the provided directions.
This pH of this formula is approximately 3.6. Glycolic Acid has a pKa of 3.6 and pKa is the most important aspect to consider in formulating with acids. pKa describes the acidity of a molecule. When pKa is close to pH, there is an ideal balance between salt and acidity, maximizing effectiveness of the acid and reducing irritation.
Use:
Face/Neck Application: Apply once daily, ideally in the evening. Apply to the face and neck using a cotton pad or fingers.
Scalp Application: Apply to dry scalp, three times a week. Tilt your head back and use the nozzle to gently dispense product from the front to the back of the head in a sweeping motion. Massage well.
Do not rinse off. Do not use on sensitive, peeling, or compromised skin. Avoid the eye contour and contact with eyes.
Contact of the product with the skin must be of limited frequency or duration.
If eye or skin irritation occurs, rinse thoroughly, cease use, and consult a physician. Use only as directed on unbroken skin. Patch testing prior to use is advised. Keep out of reach of children.
Sunburn Alert: This product contains an alpha hydroxy acid (AHA) that may increase your skin’s sensitivity to the sun and particularly the possibility of sunburn. Use a sunscreen, wear protective clothing, and limit sun exposure while using this product and for a week afterwards.
