What kind of routine can I create with these skincare products?
I have long suffered from various types of skin issues (dryness, acne, acne scars, redness, and large pores) and have tried many different products that haven't felt helpful. I just bought several skincare products that I hope will help, but I'm not sure in what order to use the products or what a good and effective skincare routine would be. Like a time travel, but the bad kind 🥹
I have had acne problems since my teenage years, where it has gone in waves. A little over two years ago, I finally went to a dermatologist and got help. I was on isotretinoin for a little over 7 months and finally got rid of it. Since I stopped the treatment, I have only gotten a few isolated pimples. I use Niactil, which I love, and it has been great. But I thought about alternating with another serum with niacinamide to stretch it a bit. I wanted to try this since it had mostly received very good reviews. I am always cautious with new products and introduce them slowly and one at a time. I know that the skin can react to new products and that there can be “purging.” But I got a lot of new and inflamed pimples, big and painful. When I stopped using it, they disappeared; it might have stopped if I had continued. Worth it or not worth it?
Had no visible effect on dark pigmentation spots. Caused a burning and irritating sensation upon application. Can feel uncomfortable on the skin when used. Used 2 bottles but saw no difference after 8 months. No strong smell. Lovely product
So nice that you can get this big bottle from Lyko, I haven't found it anywhere else. My skin loves this serum. I always have big dry and red patches under my eyes. Since I've been using this, my skin feels so much more hydrated and those patches have disappeared. Use one in the morning and the other in the evening, or apply the thinner one first, wait 30–60 seconds, then follow with the other serum, finishing with cream and SPF during the day. I've heard that this can be used to lighten underarms, is that true? I've used The Ordinary's Glycolic Acid Exfoliating Toner (7%), and the skin under my arms has maybe lightened a bit, but it hasn't helped that much. (The darkness is not due to shaving but from skin rubbing together). Can this be used on underarms, or is there another product containing niacinamide?
