Addictive!
How could I have missed this before, it is such a scent that if someone walks by and has it on, you turn around and want to know what perfume it is... it is not like any other perfume I have tried. 🥰 Lovely, sensual, sweet, floral, warm, lightly spicy, yes it is so addictive. It can be experienced as very intense and strong at first, but when it settles, a lovely, calming, sensual scent comes that, yes, I can't find words for it. 😇❤️ Creamy warm and sweet vanilla with cashmere. Wait a moment, then the perfume settles like a thin aura around you and is not at all strong but more like a hint of a dream. ❤️ It always helps me when I want to buy a new perfume to know what the people who bought it like for other scents. So I will mention some scents I like and use myself. Hugo Boss, Alive YSL, Libre Carolina Herrera, Good Girl Narciso Rodriguez For Her, Musc Noir Dolce & Gabbana, L'Imperatrice Prada, Candy Prada, Candy Night Marc Jacobs, Daisy Eau So Fresh Juicy Couture, Viva La Juicy Juicy Couture, Bowdacious Ariana Grande, R.E.M Ariana Grande, Cloud. 🌸🖤 A perfume I’ve really fallen for!
I actually became so fond of Valentino Donna Born in Roma! This is a perfume that I think has such a nice balance between sweetness, floral notes, and something a bit darker in the background. It feels feminine and luxurious without being too mature or stiff. 🥹✨ The first thing I notice is the slightly fresh, almost fruity sensation from blackcurrant buds, but quite quickly the jasmine comes through. I think it’s the jasmine that makes the perfume feel so feminine and elegant. Then the warmer side emerges with vanilla and woody tones. 🤍 And oh... the vanilla! 😭 It’s sweet and creamy, but I don’t find it overly sugary or cloying. The woody notes give the whole scent a bit more depth and make it much more interesting than a typical sweet perfume. I think it’s incredibly lovely once it’s been on the skin for a while. For me, it’s really one of those perfumes that gets better after about 20-30 minutes. At first, it feels a bit more intense, but then it softens and becomes warm, sensual, and almost velvety. ✨ The longevity is also really good. I can still smell it several hours after spraying, especially on clothes. That means I don’t need to use a lot, which I appreciate since the scent actually has quite good projection. This is definitely a perfume I would choose when I want to feel a little extra feminine, confident, and dressed up. I think it’s perfect for an evening out or dinner, but with fewer sprays it absolutely works for everyday wear too. 🌸 And the bottle?! 😍 It’s so incredibly beautiful. The pink color and the iconic studs really make it look like a little couture piece on the perfume shelf. The only thing I can complain about is the price – Valentino really isn’t the cheapest. But at the same time, I feel it really is a true premium perfume in terms of scent, bottle, and longevity. Warm, feminine, a little sweet, floral, and with a lovely woody undertone. Born in Roma is a super nice warm scent from Valentino. I often get headaches from scents that are too strong or when they are too watery/sweet like Sol de Janeiro, but this one doesn't give me any pain!!! ☺️ Positive: - Smells strong but no headache - Lasts a long time - Light and ergonomic bottle - Good price for quality 🎀 Negative: The only negative thing I really have to say is that many others have this scent, so you don't smell that unique.
