Super pretty color, but didn't take at the roots.
I had heard so much about this so I was very eager to try it! Used their shampoo first as recommended. I think the color stuck really well to the rest of the hair and became strong and pretty! 😍 But it didn't take at the roots, so it doesn't look that nice. I'm going to try to just dye the roots and see how it turns out. But a bit disappointed that it didn't take there at all. Pink pastel
I have bleached hair, but this color washed out after one wash, so on the first rinse. It didn't quite turn out the right shade, but rather more towards peach, and the color became uneven. I recommend Revlon's color bomb in pink (005) to achieve a pink tone that also lasts longer. Carnation pink
I've never really dyed my hair and I'm naturally quite light blonde with a yellowish tone (maybe somewhere around level 8 blonde) and I really want pink hair that isn't as intense as hot pink. I used Manic Panic bubblegum pink once, but it only lasted a few days with one wash and faded to kind of a coral. Is Directions Carnation Pink a good choice? Do you need to bleach + tone the hair to make it stick or could it work on level 8 blonde? Bleaching??

The comment was made 2 weeksHey Alva! 👋🏽 It is a semi-permanent color without ammonia/peroxide, it works a bit like a 'toner' 😊 It gives the best and most intense result on bleached/light hair, while on darker hair it mostly gives a blue tone. It washes out gradually but can last longer on bleached hair! Have a lovely day! 🌞

Really nice color but doesn't last
I use this and the color itself is insanely nice. I use Pillarbox Red. Unfortunately, it fades and after three washes the color is pretty dull. Vibrant, bold semi-permanent colors in a ton of different shades. Super easy to use and you can mix the colors to create your very own unique hue!
Preparation:
1. Shampoo
Wash your hair with a pH balanced shampoo; we recommend La Riche Pre Colour Shampoo. This will give your hair the right balance, ensuring that Directions hair color achieves the best results. Directions Colour Protecting Shampoo is specially formulated for colored hair, helping you get the most out of your color. It leaves your hair soft, manageable, and with an amazing shine.
Application:
2. Comb your hair
Comb the Directions hair color into your hair until the color emulsifies, meaning it starts to foam. This indicates that the color has penetrated the hair; lighter shades may require a bit more combing.
3. Processing
Let the color sit for 15 to 30 minutes. A plastic cap helps retain heat in the hair, which can lead to better results.
Results:
4. Rinsing
Rinse your hair thoroughly with warm water, avoiding your face, until all excess color is washed out. If you're applying more than one color, make sure to wash and dry the hair separately. Be extra careful when coloring only parts of light hair.
Tips:
- Wear plastic gloves when applying the color.
- Apply petroleum jelly or another thick ointment along your hairline to avoid getting color on your forehead.
- As with all hair colors, it's recommended to do a patch test first.
- Don't use conditioner before coloring your hair.
