Great results for a great price
Right now I have blonde hair with lighter and darker sections and highlights. Silver shampoo has an effect on yellow tones, which means that the darkest parts of my hair are not affected nearly as much as the light blonde. In other words, I have primarily assessed the effect on the lightest sections. As a reference, I can say that I am normally a regular user of silver shampoo, and my favorite is, and has long been, Fanola no Yellow. The reason I like it is that it has a lot of pigment and is effective but never turns the hair blue-purple (which I have experienced that, for example, Fudge can do if you are very light). I like Lyko's design on the bottles. Sleek, fresh, and nice color. The plastic bottle has a pretty “doughy” size and shape. It is more “short and chunky” than long and slim. The shampoo is quite runny, so even though the plastic is quite hard and the wide shape, it works fine to get the product out if you shake a little. Usage: I do not use silver shampoo as shampoo in the sense of “cleaning,” but I first shampoo twice with a regular shampoo. It says on the bottle that you should apply and rinse thoroughly. However, there is no indication on the bottle itself for how long, or even IF, you should leave the product in your hair before rinsing it out during use. I would have liked some kind of instruction so that you know something about how potent the product is expected to be. Now I was hesitant about whether I dared to leave it in my hair or not, just because it actually didn’t say anything. The shampoo is purple, a bit on the blue side. I saw that someone thought it has a strong scent, but I do not agree with that. I think it smells clean and quite fresh. The product works as promised! My hair becomes cooler in tone when I have used the shampoo. I have let it sit for about 3 minutes at most, and I have not experienced any strands turning blue after use. I tried to get before and after photos, but it is hopeless since I was not super yellow in my hair before, even though I stopped using silver shampoo 5 washes before I tested this, and the smallest difference in brightness or warmth of the light affects how the shade looks in the picture. In the photo, the hair is freshly washed after washing, and the light is somewhat warm. I do not feel that the shampoo moisturizes either more or less than any other silver shampoo; and I do not experience any effect on my scalp as I have used it about every other wash. The price is very good. So good that I thought I would get a small travel size when I saw what I would get sent home. Very affordable! #bylyko #lykoinflutesterTranslated from swedish

It’s a no for me...
Every blonde needs their silver shampoo, they say. But I don’t agree. Because there isn’t a silver shampoo I’ve tried that meets the standards. And this was no exception. I’ve tested it for 3 weeks and once a week, and that has been enough for me! The formula is thick and almost black. And my scalp has itched every time I’ve used it. Additionally, my hair has become incredibly straw-like from it. I suspect that my typically Scandinavian hair, which is thin but has a lot of strands, can’t handle these shampoos. Also, I find the product extremely difficult to get out of the packaging since it is so compact! And I will not continue to use it or buy it again! Quality for a good price🙌🏼
The first impression of the bottle is that the design is very simple and sleek. I can't say I LOVE it. Usually, I like neutral colors, but here I prefer the other series under Lyko with more color, for example, I really like the light blue color of their hydration series (I also wrote a review on this). The bottle is made of thick plastic, which is nice as it seems like the bottle can withstand a bit if you happen to drop it. The product is liquid enough that it shouldn't be a problem to get it out. The product itself has a slightly strong smell, but I feel this is something you can't escape when it comes to silver shampoo in general. But the smell doesn't linger in the hair, so you don't have to worry about that. My hair is quite bleached; before Christmas, I had quite a bit of regrowth and lightened it a bit, but it's still darker at the roots than at the ends. I first went over with regular shampoo, then I massaged this into the ends and worked my way up, but I didn't rub it into the scalp as I find from experience with previous silver shampoos that it makes my scalp itchy. I have a very sensitive scalp, so unfortunately, it doesn't take much. So I unfortunately don't have anything to say about how this one is for the scalp. But I let it sit for about 3 minutes before rinsing it out. What I can definitely say is that this does its job! You can see in the before and after picture that it has lightened a bit and removed the golden tones. No risk of it turning almost purple, something I had a lot of experience with when I was completely platinum a few years ago. Unfortunately, I'm not platinum anymore, so maybe the hair becomes more sensitive when it's more bleached, so it might be good to try with a shorter time the first time and see how it goes if you have lighter hair. I also have quite a bit of experience with hair tending to become drier after bleaching and using silver shampoo. But I had the pleasure of trying their hydration series as well, and that helped a lot. So be sure to use products that add a lot of moisture afterward. Worth checking out that series. Last but not least: Good price! Especially for a product with such quality and amount of ml. In short: + the price (quality product for a generous price) 🤑 + does its job (removes yellow tones and lightens hair) 🐑 + decent packaging 👍🏼 thick plastic so it can probably withstand a bit +/- strong smell, BUT doesn't linger in the hair so so🤷🏼♀️ #lykoinflutester #bylykoTranslated from norwegian

Positively surprised!
I have tried this product #bylyko for #lykoinflutester now for about 3 weeks and here’s what I think! The first impression was that the packaging was very nice, I like the design 🥰 The scent is nothing remarkable. It smells good, but like other silver shampoos I would say! What I reacted to is that it doesn’t say on the packaging how long you should leave the product in, which it often does, but I guessed about 30 seconds to start with, which suited me well! For me, a silver shampoo doesn’t need to moisturize or cleanse, so I can’t say if I think it dried out or cleaned especially well or poorly. Nothing stood out for me! However, I think it made the actual shade of my hair cooler, which is what I’m after! It feels fresh and revitalized!💇🏼♀️ I met a friend the day after I used this, and she asked if I had done something special with my hair since it looked so fresh, so I thought that was a good compliment!😃 An extra plus is the price, I think it’s a good value silver shampoo that does what I want!Translated from swedish

Affordable despite some flaws…
As a #LYKOINFLUTESTER, I got to try some products from #BYLYKO, namely the Dry hydration Conditioner, Why dry Moisture Hair serum, and this silver shampoo. My hair type: Scandinavian blonde hair, thick with many fine strands. Needs a lot of moisture to prevent frizzy hair. Something made my scalp itch during the testing period. I tried two other products from the same brand. But I suspect it was the silver shampoo, as it was the only product I used on my scalp and let sit for a while. If you have dry cuticles, it might be good to keep in mind that they can turn purple. However, it’s not a dealbreaker for me, as it can easily be avoided with a pair of gloves. But it’s still worth mentioning! The scent is nice and definitely one of the product's advantages. But aside from the itching and a little purple cuticle, I really have to say that it’s extremely good at what it’s supposed to do. It really gives a cool color to the hair and it really does its job! BUT, follow up with a hair mask as the hair does get dry. Even this packaging is very hard, but they get away with it as this silver shampoo has such a runny formula. Will I buy it again? Maybe actually. It’s actually very affordable anyway! Definitely not a first choice but definitely when needed if it’s a January/February type of month :)Translated from swedish

Beyond Blonde Silver Shampoo
I have been lucky to test LYKOs own Beyond Blonde Silver Shampoo, and I am very satisfied with the result it has given me 💜 When using a purple shampoo like this, it is important to know why you use it, and how to get the best results. Let's dive in! When bleaching hair, we bring out the warm pigments in the hair. And depending on how warm your hair gets, you need to think about color theory. This product is blue-purple, which will work on yellow and weak orange tones in the hair. I bleach my hair about 3 times a year and tone it. But since the toner slowly but surely fades out of the hair, the warm pigments come back again. That’s when I reach for a purple shampoo. Usage: 🟣 Take a half dollop of your regular shampoo and massage it into the scalp (it won’t foam) and then rinse out! This is to quickly remove grease and dirt, it doesn’t need to be applied to the lengths. When you rinse out, the lengths are cleansed 🧼 🟣 Then take LYKOs purple shampoo, work it in your hands until it starts to foam lightly. Apply it to the hair. This is to avoid blue spots/unevenness. 🟣 Work it in well. Repeat step 2 until you have thoroughly covered the hair. Feel free to use more product than usual. You should "tone" the hair, not necessarily just wash it. 🟣 Wait for about 5 minutes before rinsing out. Wash your body while you wait! 🟣 Rinse well and try to be quick with getting conditioner/hair mask in. This is to close the cuticles of the hair, to "lock in" the purple pigments. And rinse out the conditioner whenever you want! The shampoo works just as well as others on the market, at a very friendly price! And it comes in (in my opinion) a nice size. I don’t reach for silver shampoo every time I shower as the hair can become "saturated". So having to store a slightly smaller bottle for the hair's needs suits me perfectly! 💜 It has a lovely fresh scent, and the hair feels clean after use 🌸 Although I love the design of the bottle (which is super cute), it feels a bit awkward to use. Pretty okay but not wow
I have once again had the honor of testing products and was incredibly excited about Lyko's own Beyond Blonde Silver Shampoo. My hair is very blonde and easily attracts yellow/orange pigments. Normally, I use Icy Blonde from Milkshake, and unfortunately, this shampoo couldn't compete with Milkshake's. On the plus side - nice packaging, mild scent, and easy to lather up. Effectively removes the yellow (a bit too well for me), and of course the price! On the minus side - for me, being this blonde, it almost always turns purple/blue in my hair even if I only have a silver shampoo in for a very short time, I experienced that with this as well. No instructions on how long it should sit in. It dried my hair out quite a bit. Good silver shampoo
🌸My hair type - I have blonde bleached hair, quite long and thick but fine hair strands. 🌸My first reaction - Totally okay silver shampoo, not the best I’ve tried but does the job just fine. Great Pigmentation
As a #lykoinflutester, I got to try some products from #bylyko! First up is this silver shampoo. The packaging - super sleek! The consistency - just the right amount of runny. Pigmentation - exemplary!! I think the packaging looks nice in the shower, nothing to complain about aesthetically. I like when products look sleek and simple. The shampoo itself has a pretty runny consistency but not like water, just right. It lathers up nicely and instantly removes the chicken yellow🐥 hair and gives a nice cool tone. However, it might be good to note that it doesn't work on all dark yellow shades, but more if the hair is light yellow. Poor at explaining, but I hope you understand what I mean 😎 The scent I would say is a bit unisex. I was really positively surprised by how nice the tone of the hair became afterwards. It also lasts for 3-4 washes before you need to touch up with new. What brings down the rating is that the hair became like a bird's nest afterwards. I received this product from Lyko as a #LYKOINFLUTESTER We can start with the fact that the packaging is very nice to look at and have in the shower. I have also received other products and have also bought several from Lyko's own line, and I think they have very nice colors and packaging. I find the silver shampoo to be creamy in consistency and easy to get out. And it lathers just right. I have used it alone and also mixed it with other shampoo, and then rinsed it out, and I think it doesn't turn blue like some can, but it builds up results at least for me, and if you apply and then rinse out right away ^^ About the scent, and I think it doesn't dry out the hair as much as some others can do. A little dryness, but not too much. Finally, a reasonable product that fits ME! I have the typical Scandinavian hair, thin, light. My hair is known as "glass hair", where nothing sticks, and all color just washes out. The only thing that works for my hair is bleaching at the salon. The formula of the shampoo is POWERFUL, thick, and lathers well. The purple pigments pop during shampooing, and you can really see a thick and colorful foam. The scent, however, reminds me a bit of an unfortunate fragrance from the boys' locker room in middle school, a mix of Jean Paul and Axe, but hey, it's worth it. (You won't smell like a wet teenager more than in the shower.) The product is hard to squeeze out, as the bottle is quite sturdy. Comes with a flip cap, you can also twist off the whole cap for a refill if desired. After using this, my hair finally doesn't feel dry and light, but something that can actually resemble a bird's nest on steroids. The styling lasts for many hours because; yes, the hair gets dry. My hair color has taken on the deep cool undertone, even after 2-3 washes with classic shampoo. The hair stays fresh for a long time, and hair washing is no longer necessary every other day due to oil buildup. I use this every 3rd hair wash to maintain the nice tone balance in my hair. Doesn't transfer onto clothes, towels, or bedding. And the price? Girl, give it a try. If you loved Fudge's purple shampoo, I can assure you that it has been outdone by this explosive delight here! What brings it down is the size in relation to the price, as well as the fact that the product is hard to squeeze out. The scent CAN be a bit much.
