1 weekVerifierad testareReally good!
🙋♀️I have been testing this primer for about 4 weeks now. Mostly, I have tested it as a primer under makeup, but also a few times on its own - without makeup. ❗Good to know: My skin is somewhat older, a bit on the drier side, and has also lost its natural glow. ✨This primer is very similar to an old favorite (Beauty Flash balm, from Clarins). It gives a nice natural glow and radiance to the face without looking greasy. This means I can feel fresh without foundation on the days I choose to go without makeup. Despite this, I usually choose to wear foundation, and I haven't noticed that it clashes with any of the foundations I've used. But I honestly can't determine if the makeup lasts better or longer, but it definitely provides a smoother base. 🤗Since I've used this after the fantastic day cream Essential Energy Hydrating Cream from the same brand, I feel this primer has been a bit unnecessary since the cream itself gives a crazy nice glow. 🤴The price is reasonable, but I would say it is unfortunately a bit not economical. 👍A really good product, but no "hallelujah moment" for me! #lykoinflutester #shiseido #primer #bas21 likes956 viewsMaria Sol Therése

3 daysVerifierad testareGives a nice glow, but what’s up with the ingredients??
Tried the product and actually think it laid nicely on the skin, both alone and with makeup. Reminds me a bit of the strobe cream from Mac or Clarins' beauty flash balm. Decided to look at the ingredients, something I often do, and was honestly a bit shocked. The product contains a lot of alcohol. In fact, it’s ingredient number 2 (I see several reacting to this). For those who don’t know, this means it’s the ingredient that is second most prevalent in the product, and there are other alcohols further down the list. It’s also perfumed, which is an unfortunate combination. Other irritants like citrus and lavender oil are also on the list, to name a few. Even though the product also has good ingredients, it’s hard to overlook this. Contains a relatively high concentration (based on placement in the ingredient list) of the active ingredient niacinamide, which I personally like, but which shouldn’t be combined with just anything and which many may react to, so be aware of that. I’m actually unsure if I will use the product again, as it can be harmful and make the skin look worse over time. It will be, in that case, as the last step in a longer routine and only rarely if I have something special to attend to and want extra glow. I simply can’t give a good rating due to the content, regardless of the result. I recommend other products with a better ingredient list - after all, we are in 2024 with a sea of alternatives. Expected better from Shiseido. Will not buy again. #lykoinflutester #shiseido+4

3 hoursVerifierad testareNice primer
I have tested products from #shiseido and this primer is a combination of skincare and makeup, which is impressive🌟 It contains SPF 25, perfect for slightly warmer days, and PA++ that protects against UV rays while also caring for the skin with ingredients like niacinamide and fermented kefir, substances that help strengthen the skin's barriers and provide a more even skin tone. The product works excellently as a base for makeup or without makeup. The texture is light and gives a fresh result without feeling heavy. With its combination of caring properties and makeup benefits, it is perfect for daily use. I mostly use this under makeup, and it gives a nice result, smells good, and has small glittery particles💍 A small downside is the price, but overall it is a nice product🌟🌸 #lykoinflutester+1

4 daysGives 100% glow!
I've been using this primer for about a month and it is truly amazing! However, I am a ”gripping primer girl” since I have more oily skin and I'm afraid of getting too glowy after a few hours. Judge by my surprise when this creamier and glowier/light-reflecting primer kept my makeup perfect all day? I have mild acne and as mentioned oily, I rarely get dry even though that can happen of course with weather changes. I'm not sensitive at all but can get a little acne breakout when I try new makeup, which I haven't gotten from this one. I've used this together with their Essential Energy Hydrating Cream (1634-582-0050) and both are very moisturizing and illuminating, thought it would be a bit cake on cake but they go sooooo well together and my feeling is that this combo is ultimate! I apply my primer after my skincare routine (toner, serum, eye cream & moisturizer) and pat it into the skin. I let it sit and absorb (do my brows in the meantime) and then I slap on the makeup. I use a lot of makeup, both cream & powder products and have tested this primer both with and without setting spray. Without setting spray, I obviously get a bit more oily throughout the day, with setting spray I don't have to do anything at all, it stays in place and looks pretty much like when I started the day. It has a fresh scent, the scent feels luxurious and absolutely not strong. The primer gives an incredible glow, can almost be perceived as shimmer but I think it's just light-reflecting. I think it's a mix between skincare & makeup, really a plus for sun protection factor! I can really recommend this, I love it!!! #lykoinflytester #shiseido+2

4 daysVerifierad testareNice primer
I have tested this primer for about four weeks. I have only used it as a primer under foundation. My skin is dry and tends towards normal around the nose. I appreciate glow in my skincare routine and in my makeup routine. This primer was just to my taste. Comes in a tube packaging which is convenient. It doesn't exude luxury like the brand itself does though. Has a light pink tint when it comes out of the tube but gives no color when you actually apply it. The consistency is like a lighter cream but rich. Melts in quickly and gives a nice, quite subtle glow which makes it suitable for everyday use. Works with all foundations I have tested and I have not experienced it causing the makeup to roll or separate. However, the product is perfumed and contains niacinamide, two ingredients that sensitive skin does not always tolerate, so it is worth noting. I personally find the scent quite discreet compared to many other Shisheido products. Finally, I think the price is on the high side for a primer regardless of how nice the glow it gives. Pros: + Nice glow + Works with different types of foundation + Does not roll + Absorbs quickly into the skin Cons: - Price - Perfumed - Contains other potentially irritating ingredients #LYKOINFLUTESTER #SHISEIDO+1

5 daysVerifierad testareHigh alcohol content - labeled flammable
I was very excited to test this product from Shiseido, as the impression I have had of them is that this is an exclusive brand. I think it’s very positive to see that it contains SPF 25, but often not enough product is used to provide good enough coverage when only using a primer. So sunscreen on the side is of course recommended. I was completely shocked when I discovered that "Denatured alcohol" is listed as the second ingredient in this product. This means that alcohol is the second highest ingredient here. I also thought the product had a strong smell of alcohol. It’s also worth noting that products containing more than 10% alcohol must be labeled "flammable", so this product does!! 🔥🔥 Here’s what you should know about denatured alcohol in skincare: When used in high concentration, it does more than just dehydrate the skin, it can irritate, damage the skin barrier, and even trigger cell death. Especially when combined with other irritants like fragrance, which this primer does. Products like this are considered Pro-aging, so aging, and not anti-aging. I cannot recommend this product because it has such a high concentration of alcohol. The damage it can cause to your skin is irreversible. Here we are also talking about the face, which we care about the most, and spend a lot of money to keep young and fresh. There are so many other good primers on the market, and a personal favorite is Peter Thomas Roth's "skin to die for", which is in the same price range. #LYKOINFLUTESTER #SHISEIDO+1

5 daysVerifierad testareSuper great primer that I can actually use!
I have both oily and dry skin. Around my nose and on my chin, I have oily skin, while my forehead can often get a bit dry. I also often struggle with redness in my skin, and not all products I think work equally well on my skin, since I easily get pimples. I'm especially careful with primers, as I feel these often can make the skin "tight" under makeup, which leads to irritated and pimply skin. However, I am really satisfied with this primer. It is easy to apply, absorbs quickly, and you don't notice that it's under the makeup. Some primers can make it so that especially my nose area, which is a bit oily to begin with, makes the makeup stick poorly there and looks a bit "burning". That is not the case with this primer. You don't notice that you've put it on! And in the world of primers, I think that's pure gold. You can apply makeup right away, and I don't feel that it needs to air dry. I feel it makes my skin better, and that foundation looks better with this underneath. It looks smoother somehow. Check out the video of how creamy and light it is to apply. Love. 💖 I have also tested the following products: ✨Face cream: Essential Energy Hydrating Cream 50 ml ✨Eye cream: Wrinkle Smoothing Eye Cream 15 ml In summary: ➕ Love that it has SPF25 ➕ Absorbs easily into the skin ➕ Don't notice that I have it on under the makeup and becomes like a completely invisible layer under the makeup ➕ I think it calms the skin and makes it less red ➖ Probably personal preference, but when you open the tube, it seems like you squeeze too much on it (since the tube is a bit flimsy) and you think that primer will ooze out into the cap. But when you have screwed the cap on completely, it is completely tight, so it doesn't get messy. Anyway, maybe the tube could have a slightly easier screw mechanism? #LYKOINFLUTESTER #SHISEIDO+1

5 daysVerifierad testareThe best primer I have ever tried!
I had the opportunity and pleasure to test three products from Shiseido for a month. A fantastic brand with many lovely products, so the joy and anticipation were total when I received these products 🤩 My skin: I don’t have any major challenges with dryness/oily skin/acne/pores, more than that it can lean towards the drier side during the winter. In that way, my skin is fairly uncomplicated, but as a 30-something and a parent of small children, my skin has started to look a bit.. tired and dull, and a couple of fine lines have started to show up here and there. I always use primer to achieve a smoother skin. That “blurring” effect. I’m not really looking for a glow when it comes to primers, because I think that’s usually enough from the other preparatory skincare products. But this one, listen up! This primer gives such a heavenly nice glow, and the skin looks so smooth and nice. 🥰 I have used it as a base both with and without makeup on top, and I think it gives a good result either way. It doesn’t crumble and the makeup stays nice all day. The formula is light, but I think it requires a larger amount than what is stated in the text, so the question is how long it lasts if used daily. But I can’t take off a star for that yet, it remains to be seen. It is definitely one of the better primers I have tried, for sure! It does everything a primer is supposed to do. 🥳 Picture 1: Without products Picture 2: With Shiseido Essential Energy Hydrating Cream + Shiseido Benefiance Wrinkle Smoothing Eye Cream Picture 3: With the above two products and Shiseido Revitalessence Glow Primer #Shiseido #Lykoinflutester9 likes358 viewsSotnosen

5 daysVerifierad testareFeels silky and gives lots of glow!
🤎 This primer gives the skin a beautiful, radiant glow and feels silky on the skin. 🤎 it doesn't feel heavy on the skin at all and it creates an amazing base for makeup. Even if you don't want to wear any foundation, this primer will "mix" well with other makeup products like creamy bronzer and blush. 🤎The scent is pleasant and subtle. The ingredients I liked in this primer: * Niacinamide - Brightens skin, improves tone, strengthens the skin barrier, and minimizes the appearance of pores. * Lactobacillus/Rice Ferment - helps improve skin texture, brighten the skin, and support a healthy skin microbiome. * Tocopheryl Acetate (Vitamin E) - Antioxidant that protect the skin from environmental damage and improve hydration and texture. * Camellia Sinensis Leaf Extract, Citrus Junos Seed Extract - Plant extracts that are rich in antioxidants, soothing agents, and brightening properties, which help enhance skin radiance. 🤎 This primer includes good ingredients like niacinamide, antioxidants, humectants, and SPF, that give skin glow while providing hydration and protection. It also contains alcohol, fragrance, and potential irritants like lavender oil and preservatives, which can be harsh for sensitive skin. 🤎 Overall, it's an excellent primer for achieving a glowing, fresh look while ensuring makeup applies smoothly and lasts longer! #lykoinflutester #Shiseido1 likes605 viewsKristine
5 daysVerifierad testareVery nice, but no «WOW» result
I was so lucky to receive this Glow primer from Shiseido to test it out as #LYKOINFLUTESTER. I am 34 years old, have normal to dry skin. A bit sensitive at times if products contain a lot of perfume. I have a few lines around my eyes and a small smile line by my mouth. And I get some pimples/bumps now and then. I’m not really a primer girl, as I think that good skin prep before makeup is the most important for the makeup to sit nicely all day. But since this is a silicone-free primer, which is supposed to give glow AND contains Niacinamide (a must in my daily routine), I became very curious. Since I really like to apply glowing products as a base before foundation 😊 The packaging is nice, but doesn’t look very luxurious compared to the other base products from Shiseido like the foundations. But it’s easy to get everything out of the packaging when it’s empty since it’s in a tube, so you can cut it open. Also, it’s not that heavy, so nice to take with you when traveling 🧳 The consistency is like a thin day cream or a slightly thicker serum, and is really buttery soft. It melts so easily into the skin. The light-reflecting particles give a lovely glow to the face without looking greasy. And the skin looks more even, as it minimizes visible pores and lines. Which gives a perfect base for applying the rest of the makeup on top. I always wait a bit before applying foundation over such bases, so that it can soak a bit into the skin and isn’t too “wet.” This has worked so well with this one too. It gives no color, which I think is a bit of a downside since I like a glowing primer with a hint of color. So that you can use it on “no-makeup” days and still feel like it corrects a bit of redness. Big plus that it contains SPF. Even though I always use sunscreen in addition. Extra protection! ☀️ Smells perfumed. Good, but can be a bit allergenic for those of us with sensitive skin over time. But if I only use it for special occasions, where I want a perfect base, it’s no problem. I have tested it under several different foundations, and it sits just as nicely under all of them. I haven’t experienced pilling under any of the foundations, which is a big plus. That’s the reason I actually don’t like primers. The glow shows well through the makeup all day. But if you get oily quickly in the T-zone, I would use the primer only in the areas where you don’t get oily quickly. If you are very oily, I would skip the day cream. Just apply your regular serums first, then this on top (since it’s full of skincare ingredients). Otherwise, it can get a bit too much of a good thing in terms of too much moisture and a “thick” layer of products on the skin before makeup. Especially if you don’t have time to wait between all the steps in your skincare routine before applying the next. So that everything soaks in a bit before you apply a new product. This is definitely a primer I will continue to use. I really like how the makeup looks with this underneath and how my skin feels. But it’s not a revolutionary primer that I can’t live without. It’s full of skincare ingredients, but to see results from these ingredients, you have to use it every single day. And I don’t wear makeup every single day. I have many other glowing products that I like to use as a base, with and without skincare ingredients. That cost much less and that I like better because they have a bit of color in them 😅❤️ #SHISEIDO8 likes410 viewsJosefin
5 daysVerifierad testareHalleluja!!
I often do my makeup, and I usually prefer a lighter/more sheer base for everyday and mostly use BB/CC cream or some skin tint. I have tested the primer on my own since I didn't feel like doing my makeup, and it gives a subtle and natural glow. Of course, I have rigorously tested it with different bases to really form an opinion! I have tested both with and without setting spray (and I first tested the mentioned setting spray without the primer as well) and the combination has been unbeatable. This primer has worked really well with all the products I have tested over - nothing has rolled or flaked. Plus + gives a nice glow without becoming oily or shiny + evens out the texture a bit while still feeling natural + compatible with everything I have tested over. No flaking or crumbling! + easy to blend the makeup I applied over + the makeup has stayed in place both in humid November fog, night shifts in dry air in the operating room, and at staff parties with karaoke and dancing! Minus - nothing. Perhaps the price is a bit high, but considering the result, it is still reasonable This will be bought again SOON as it is probably the best primer I have tested! #SHISEIDO #LYKOINFLUTESTER+2

6 daysVerifierad testareGlow!!! Glow!!!✨✨
I have been testing the #SHISEIDO Benefiance Revitalessence Glow Primer for a month now and I really like it! 🤩 This primer from Shiseido is supposed to enhance the skin's "natural beauty", hydrate, and give glow - and I really think it does. Almost so much that I have to powder extra during the day because I have WAY too much glow! 😂 That's why I apply it MOST on the parts of my face where I want glow, avoiding the chin among other areas. I like that it is silicone-free as I find that the primers (that I have tested) containing silicone tend to "roll off" the face and not lay nicely at all. This primer is more like an additional cream in the skincare routine. Makeup stays nice and glows✨ all day. I can even wear this on my nose, I usually can't wear primer on my nose because the makeup tends to look bad then, but this works like a charm and covers the pores without clogging them. At least that's how it feels! 🤩 If you want ✨glow✨ and at the same time achieve a smoother, more even skin and strengthen the skin barrier - then this is for you! 🤩 Pssss!! It says on my product that it has SPF 25 + PA+++, which I really like! I love using SPF all year round 🤩 so I think it should be highlighted more on the product page!! 🤝 5/5 #LYKOINFLUTESTER+2
