  Gloss Shield Heat Protection Spray

  I have tested products from Izel Beauty, a brand that was completely unknown to me. I have hair that needs a lot of moisture and easily gets frizzy, especially in the winter. I use a hairdryer 3 times a week, and a curling iron 1-2 times a week, so heat protectant is absolutely essential in my hair routine. Therefore, I was very excited to test this. It is supposed to protect the hair from heat at temperatures up to 220 degrees and provide good hold for styling without weighing it down. I think the packaging is pretty and simple. Since this is a spray, I was very curious about how it would spray. Many sprays come out very hard, but not this one! It’s a fine mist that makes it extremely easy to distribute in the hair. I really LOVED how this looked and felt in my hair. It gave a bit of hold and texture, while also providing a lovely shine. My hair felt truly amazing after I had blow-dried it dry. No frizz. But … and that’s a big but … This smells absolutely terrible! I have actually never come across a hair product that smells this bad. It smells very masculine, but not in a positive way. And almost a bit sour. I am very disappointed as I loved everything about this except the smell. It was so bad that I had to go take a shower and wash my hair again, as I couldn’t handle the scent.   Good product except for the smell!

  As a #LYKOINFLUTESTER, I got to test this heat protectant from #izelbeauty. I have dry, bleached hair with an oily scalp, wash my hair about 2 times a week, and try to focus on moisture. So I want products that give my hair moisture, shine & less frizz. This protectant is supposed to provide protection up to 220 degrees, help your styling last better without weighing down the hair, and give softness and strength to your hair. Reduces hair damage/heat damage. I find this spray easy to distribute in the hair and it makes it very soft and shiny. Easy to detangle and feels a bit like it gives a protective layer when you then blow-dry your hair (like silicones do), so totally okay. The price is also very good. I can't say much about the reduced risk of hair damage/fallout or protection against heat damage for short-term use, but it feels smooth and shiny after use. Doesn't make the hair greasy either👍 But the thing that brings the rating down the most is the smell! I can't describe it other than that it's extremely strong and lingers in the hair until you wash it again. And I really don't like it! So the problem is that even if you would like the effect of this product, as I do, you have to like the smell because you won't get rid of it.. And it's hard to know if you'll like it because they can't really explain it... If you're sensitive to scents, don't buy the Shine & Repair series from this brand (tested conditioner, shampoo, heat protectant & shine serum and they all smell the same). But as I said, I still think it's an okay product that my hair seems to like, for a good price, but the smell is terrible and makes me want to give this product away and never buy it myself. There are so many other good heat protectants that I like the smell of that give the same if not better effect😬
