✨👁Sky high, baby👁✨
So we're doing another #LykoReview, this time a mascara I've seen so much of that it was time! 👀 My lashes are pretty long, but light so they don't show up unmade. 😅 But they are also terribly straight, so I really need the lift 👫 The tube is pretty, modern, and overall Maybelline New York 😉 The brush is a rubber variant with small spikes that easily separate the lashes to avoid clumpiness 🙌🏻 I chose the mascara in black, it covers well and I was surprised by its creation of both volume and length-definition 🤩 Another plus is that it doesn't transfer, neither on the eyelid nor below 👼 Trust me, it's a HUGE achievement for my hooded eyes 😳 👁Summary👁 ➕ The brush ➕ Doesn't transfer ➕/➖ The price I can see myself buying another when this one is finished, it gives me exactly what I need 🥤12654 views - Most helpful negativeThe user's roll: Lyko Creator. Can't get the lashes to stay up
I was really excited to try this because the waterproof version is my go-to mascara! The brush is really nice to use since the "hairs" on the brush aren't too long, so you avoid applying too much product and getting a clumpy result. The lashes are well separated, and you can easily apply multiple layers without them sticking together. It dries quickly on the lashes but holds up well in the packaging and doesn't get ruined quickly. The only negative for me is definitely that this makes my lashes fall as soon as I apply it, so to speak. Now I also have lashes that are very light and struggle to hold a curl. Spot on color!
I had the chance to test the Sky High mascara in the color True Brown as #lykoinflutester! The Sky High waterproof mascara is definitely my favorite and the only one I use and compare with. Still, I was very curious when the original came out in the color True Brown!🤎 I have very light features and low contrast, and I imagined that the brown color could give a softer look and be a bit less harsh. The color is spot on!🤎 As expected, I found that the brown color made the eyes look a bit softer and suited me better than the black does. Unfortunately, it can’t compare to how the waterproof version holds the lashes up. When I use an eyelash curler + Sky High, the lashes hold the curl and stand straight up! With this one, however, I could see the lashes drooping and standing straight forward, despite the curler. It almost looked like I barely had any mascara on at all. I can warmly recommend the waterproof type; it gets 5 stars from me! Unfortunately, this one doesn’t quite make the cut this time. Fingers crossed for a combo someday! Lash Sensational Sky High Mascara
Okay... I actually get why this mascara went viral. 👀 The first thing I noticed was that it gave my lashes really nice length. My lashes looked longer without getting super clumpy, and it was also easy to build up if you wanted a little extra drama. The result was pretty and separated, which I really like. **BUT...** can we talk about the brush for a moment? 😂 Every time I twist open the mascara, it feels like the applicator is going to break off. It’s very flexible, which is probably meant to reach all lashes, but for me it feels a bit stressful to use. I’m basically holding my breath every time I open it and think: *"Please survive one more time." I actually have no complaints about the formula itself – it makes lashes long and pretty and really lives up to the name *Sky High*. It’s just the applicator that brings the experience down a bit for me. **Rating: 4/5 ⭐** A really good mascara that gives nice length and pretty lashes. Nice change from black mascara
I got to test the Sky High mascara, and the color selection was so wide that it was hard to choose between the traditional black and the other shades. I decided to try the color burgundy haze because I thought it would suit brown-green eyes. I really like the color – you need to apply a few coats, and I wish the lashes would stay lifted a bit more. Also, the brush handle could be a bit sturdier; maybe I’m not used to such “flexible” brush handles. I have this mascara in black but have now also tried it in brown, love it!! The brown color really makes my blue eyes stand out beautifully! The comment was made 4 daysHello Sofia, thank you for your review 🙏🌸 A few quick tips: wipe off excess on the tube’s edge, apply a thin layer and wait 20–30 seconds until it feels slightly sticky before the next layer, and comb through your lashes with a clean lash comb right after the first layer. Curl your lashes before application, avoid oily eye creams just before, and don’t pump the brush in and out of the tube — newly opened mascaras can also feel wetter the first few times. I've been so lucky to #lykoinflutester get to test this mascara from #maybelline for a few weeks now. I'm 35 years old and prefer a natural look for everyday, so I need a mascara that gives me a pretty but natural result. And preferably one that lasts all day! I think the design of the mascara is very nice. And the brush looks like it distributes the product evenly. I used an eyelash curler before applying the mascara itself. I find the mascara easy to apply and it gives long lashes with just one coat. It didn't take long to get a nice result and luckily I experienced little clumping. Below expectations
I had such high hopes for this mascara hoping to get really nice glittery silver lashes just in time for festival occasions! Unfortunately, it was really hard to get the color on the lashes and it felt like nothing was coming onto the lashes at all, needing to use a lot of pumps before it started to show on the lashes :( Tried both with black mascara underneath and without and didn’t think either was better! I love this mascara in the color black but in space Diamond I am not satisfied at all! I LOVE IT WHEN I FIND MASCARAS THAT DO WHAT THEY PROMISE😍 Length, volume, and a really black color, check, check, and check! The lashes also stay up all day and don’t droop. I don’t curl my lashes at all though, so I can’t comment on that. The brush had a good shape but the flexible handle was maybe a bit of a no-go for me. I like it sturdy so I can really pull against the lashes and not have it give way😄 But you get used to it quickly. This was easy to layer and the result didn’t get clumpy! But oh my, how hard it was to clean off if you got a mess on your eyelid!! Felt like nothing would come off and it left marks🥲 I was surprised how well you could see the color difference from normal black! And generally, mascaras rarely manage to be both volumizing and lengthening at the same time, it usually fails at one or the other😂 Definitely a good find! #lykoinflutester #maybelline88 views
