💖 I got the product for free as a #LYKOINFLUTESTER. I got to test a series of skincare products from #REDKEN, whose products from different lines have contributed for many years to saving my heavily bleached hair. Acidic Bonding Shampoo is therefore not a new acquaintance for me, but a product I have used before and still use. I can't say if the shampoo does anything so fantastically better, but the crucial thing is that the shampoo really doesn't do anything worse. It cleans so well without causing any extra wear on the hair, which feels strengthened and soft. I'm never afraid that hair strands will break, not even right after a session with my 40 vol developer. Sometimes I slack off and just use shampoo and maybe conditioner, and at those times I always use Acidic Bonding, as it makes my hair feel and look good without a bunch of extra caring products. However, I can't use it more than once a week, otherwise my hair gets a bit heavy, but that's to be expected with both panthenol and dimethicone (which care, protect, and are good for most hair and have been demonized on incorrect/overdue grounds 🤔) high up in the ingredient list. Once I finally learned how often my hair needs the shampoo, the negative effect disappeared immediately. The shampoo lathers a lot with a little product, and doesn't dry out either my hair or my sensitive, often slightly red scalp. The scent is neutral/unisex and mild, and I find that it completely washes out during rinsing. The packaging is practical and designed to be stood up and down when the product starts to run out. The colors are a hit or miss, but I love both colorful and white and sleek, so I think this grayish minimalist design is super pretty. ⭐️ After both several years of use and this testing period, I can still warmly recommend Acidic Bonding shampoo to those with very damaged hair that doesn't get weighed down too easily. However, if you have extremely thin, fine, and flat hair, you should use it in moderation, or look for another product. Shamefully bad
Shamefully bad I have thin bleached, fine hair that can easily feel and seem heavy. I also have thin hair strands, which makes it difficult to find a product that provides moisture but doesn't make it greasy. This is mild to say a disaster for my hair. After shampooing, my hair felt sticky, as if the product hadn't been rinsed out well enough, but it had. (girl, I promise...) The consistency is somewhat on the thicker side, with a luxurious scent that can feel heavy for many. On the first shampoo, it doesn't lather at all, (quite normal, as product residues are present) on the second it lathers very well, and the foam becomes thick and well distributed. I use about 1-2 teaspoons on my shoulder-length hair. After one day, my hair was so greasy that you would think I was back in puberty, only worse. It was shocking what had happened, I thought this was a coincidence, but it happened again the following day. Even dry shampoo gave up on my hair... After 1 week, I lost all hope and then gave the product to a friend. On her side, it was "fantastic!". The bottle is handy, as you can utilize 99% of all content by simply turning it upside down when you get close to the end. It comes with a flip-top lid, which is practical. Good to take with you on trips, as the bottle holds 300ml. Somewhat expensive shampoo, especially if you feel a bit "duped" if it crashes for you and your hair, on the other hand, I am glad I had the opportunity to test this for free :) This will probably suit you if you have a dry scalp, as well as bleached and chemically damaged/dry hair. Redken Acidic Bonding Concentrate
I have tested this shampoo for two weeks and am generally positively surprised. It lathers well and feels effective without drying out the hair. My hair feels clean, softer, and shinier after washing, and it has a pleasant, light fresh scent. I also notice that the hair seems a bit stronger and less frizzy. It is economical to use, so you don’t need much product at a time. All in all, a really good shampoo that lives up to expectations and is a safe choice if you want more care and strength. Pretty okay!
I have tested Redken Acidic Bonding Concentrate Shampoo, concentrate conditioner, and concentrate Leave-in treatment together.. The shampoo has a thick consistency which makes it a bit difficult to distribute in the hair when you, like me, have thick and long hair. The shampoo cleans gently and the hair smells mild after use, but the shampoo itself has a somewhat chemical scent. The hair feels fresh, shiny, and less frizzy, but gets greasy again quickly. A highlight!
I have been using Redken Acidic Bonding Concentrate Shampoo 300 ml for a few weeks now and am overall very satisfied. My hair is colored and quite damaged, and I actually noticed a difference already after the first wash. The hair felt softer, less frizzy, and much easier to detangle. The shampoo lathers just the right amount and feels economical – you don’t need to use much product. I also find that the hair looks shinier and feels stronger, especially at the ends which otherwise easily become dry. The only small downside is that it can feel a bit heavy if you use it too often, so I sometimes alternate it with a lighter shampoo. The price is also quite high, but I still think the quality matches it. In summary, it’s a really good shampoo for those with damaged or treated hair who want more strength and shine. I can tell you that this product is amazing!
I have been using Redken Acidic Bonding products for three weeks and started after I had just bleached and colored my hair at home. I can tell you that this product is amazing! It makes my hair so smooth and much less tangled. It feels moisturized and healthy. This product even helped get rid of trichorrhexis nodosa caused by hair coloring. I highly recommend it, especially for those who color their hair or have dry or damaged hair. I am already a big fan of Redken, so expectations were high. The shampoo does its job – hair feels softer and less brittle after use, which is noticeable when you have highlights and bleached hair that hasn’t been to the salon in a while. The consistency is nice and it lathers well. The only downside is that it doesn’t give the same “wow” feeling as Redken’s purple shampoo, which for me is a completely different experience. This is a solid, functional shampoo that works well for damaged hair – but it lacks that little extra factor that really makes you hooked. I was lucky enough to receive this product line and wow, it has been great for my light hair, which needed some love after a hairdresser forgot the timing on the bleaching 😅 The shampoo smells wonderful and my hair feels clean after just one wash. A very thick shampoo that the first few times seemed difficult to rinse out and the hair felt greasy quickly after washing. But after several uses, I liked it better. For my hair, which is thick, dry at the ends, and treated with highlights, this was incredibly good to use. It is economical in use. It carries a typical Redken scent and does not smell too much.
