Old faithful friend for my abused hair!

💖 I got the product for free as a #LYKOINFLUTESTER. I got to test a series of skincare products from #REDKEN, whose products from different lines have contributed for many years to saving my heavily bleached hair. Acidic Bonding Shampoo is therefore not a new acquaintance for me, but a product I have used before and still use. I can't say if the shampoo does anything so fantastically better, but the crucial thing is that the shampoo really doesn't do anything worse. It cleans so well without causing any extra wear on the hair, which feels strengthened and soft. I'm never afraid that hair strands will break, not even right after a session with my 40 vol developer. Sometimes I slack off and just use shampoo and maybe conditioner, and at those times I always use Acidic Bonding, as it makes my hair feel and look good without a bunch of extra caring products. However, I can't use it more than once a week, otherwise my hair gets a bit heavy, but that's to be expected with both panthenol and dimethicone (which care, protect, and are good for most hair and have been demonized on incorrect/overdue grounds 🤔) high up in the ingredient list. Once I finally learned how often my hair needs the shampoo, the negative effect disappeared immediately. The shampoo lathers a lot with a little product, and doesn't dry out either my hair or my sensitive, often slightly red scalp. The scent is neutral/unisex and mild, and I find that it completely washes out during rinsing. The packaging is practical and designed to be stood up and down when the product starts to run out. The colors are a hit or miss, but I love both colorful and white and sleek, so I think this grayish minimalist design is super pretty. ⭐️ After both several years of use and this testing period, I can still warmly recommend Acidic Bonding shampoo to those with very damaged hair that doesn't get weighed down too easily. However, if you have extremely thin, fine, and flat hair, you should use it in moderation, or look for another product. But for me, this shampoo is perfect, and I will continue to buy it as long as I bleach my hair 🥰

    Shamefully bad

Shamefully bad I have thin bleached, fine hair that can easily feel and seem heavy. I also have thin hair strands, which makes it difficult to find a product that provides moisture but doesn't make it greasy. This is mild to say a disaster for my hair. After shampooing, my hair felt sticky, as if the product hadn't been rinsed out well enough, but it had. (girl, I promise...) The consistency is somewhat on the thicker side, with a luxurious scent that can feel heavy for many. On the first shampoo, it doesn't lather at all, (quite normal, as product residues are present) on the second it lathers very well, and the foam becomes thick and well distributed. I use about 1-2 teaspoons on my shoulder-length hair. After one day, my hair was so greasy that you would think I was back in puberty, only worse. It was shocking what had happened, I thought this was a coincidence, but it happened again the following day. Even dry shampoo gave up on my hair... After 1 week, I lost all hope and then gave the product to a friend. On her side, it was "fantastic!". The bottle is handy, as you can utilize 99% of all content by simply turning it upside down when you get close to the end. It comes with a flip-top lid, which is practical. Good to take with you on trips, as the bottle holds 300ml. Somewhat expensive shampoo, especially if you feel a bit "duped" if it crashes for you and your hair, on the other hand, I am glad I had the opportunity to test this for free :) This will probably suit you if you have a dry scalp, as well as bleached and chemically damaged/dry hair. Maybe it's gold for you! #LYKOINFLUTESTER #REDKEN #review

Hey Dina Thank you so much for a super and honest feedback! It's nice to hear about different experiences with a product, and it seems like you got something that wasn't a match for your hair. Glad you could pass it on, and that your friend liked it Wishing you a lovely pre-Christmas season 🎄

    Good shampoo🧽

I have been allowed to test this shampoo from Lyko for a few weeks, but this is not the first time I have tried this. I have bought this several times before and really like it! I have hair that is damaged, colored, and breaks easily. Therefore, this is perfect for me! Pros -makes hair soft -smells fresh and good -strengthens hair -helps with damaged/broken hair Cons -can make hair feel a bit heavy -if you have oily hair, I don't think this is the best for you I would absolutely recommend this and it is perfect together with the rest of the series!🧽 #LYKOINFLUTESTER #REDKEN

    Maybe a new favorite?

I was so lucky to receive the entire Bonding Concentrate series, with 4 products from Redken to test out as #LYKOINFLUTESTER ❤️ I have medium-length, thick, damaged, and colored hair that struggles a lot in the winter. So I was very excited about this series from Redken. I wash my hair 1-2 times a week and have been using this series for the last 4 weeks. This shampoo is step 2 in the series. And is used after the "pre-treatment". I always shampoo my hair 2 times to get it really clean, to remove all residues of old products in my hair. The scent is similar to the rest of the series, not the best scent of hair products I have tested, but not bad. The bottles and labels of this series are also absolutely gorgeous. I love that the bottles can easily stand on their heads to get as much product out as possible when they start to get empty. And that it doesn't have a screw cap! 👏🏻 The shampoo is very economical in use, as I do the same with this as with Olaplex's bonding shampoo. I take a coin-sized amount of shampoo in my hands and work the shampoo well into my hands until it turns completely white (to activate the ingredients) before I "comb" it through my hair with my fingers and massage it well into my scalp. Then it lathers well. For round 2, I do the same. Then you notice that it lathers even more because the hair is "cleaner" than it was in the first round. The shampoo is supposed to strengthen the hair, prevent colored hair from fading, tame frizzy hair, and make the hair shiny. I think the shampoo cleanses and washes hair and scalp well. I struggle a lot with a sensitive and dry scalp (especially in winter), and I find that my scalp is better since I started using this series 🤹‍♀️ And my hair feels clean for several days afterward. After the rest of the steps in the series, my hair feels super soft and healthy. And it is so shiny! 😍 I rarely use styling products in my hair, so I am very dependent on the products I use after washing my hair to care for my hair and provide a long-lasting result - since I only wash my hair 1-2 times a week. And I absolutely think this series does that. I can imagine that those with fine, thin hair might not like this series as it can weigh the hair down a bit, in terms of a lot of moisture for the hair. But for me with quite thick hair with coarse strands, this series is absolutely worth it in my eyes. It's hard to say if one of the products in the series is better than the others, as I have always used them together. But I really like the results they give - together. Not sure if you need all 4 steps. But in my experience, I would absolutely use all 4 together. I will continue to use these going forward. And if I am as satisfied with the results as I am now - when I run out - it will be a repurchase 🤩 #REDKEN

Strengthens, but doesn't protect my color

I have tested the entire series and used it according to the instructions. Therefore, it's hard to determine exactly which product does what, but it's a good combination! My hair: - medium length, medium thick strands - Dry and tends to get frizzy 😃 - Classically natural colored at the roots and gets bleached highlights/balayage 4-5 times a year For the past few months, I have also used some pink toning and color mask. The shampoo is applied after the pre-treatment. It's unclear in the instructions whether you “should”/can double shampoo, which I prefer otherwise. I feel that the shampoo pulls out my toning, even though it should protect the hair color. Additionally, my hair feels greasy faster than usual, but it feels softer and slightly less damaged after a few uses. The packaging is functional without being eye-catching, and the consistency is just the right amount of fluid for easy application. Plus points for the hair feeling stronger and softer, but minus points for how quickly it feels greasy again, and as mentioned, for the color fading faster. #redken #lykoinflutester

    So so

As #lykoinflutester I got the opportunity to try the #redken Acidic bonding series including the shampoo and conditioner. I have long curly hair that I wash 2 to 3 times a week and mostly blow dry or style with heat tools. So I have some damaged hair/ split ends. Packaging is nice and sleek. I like the halo on white design. Bottle looks good and has a good grip. The product has a mild scent. Very much like a salon shampoo but it’s not strong. I always shampoo twice and did the same with this one. What I experienced is that I feel it cleans my hair perfectly when I’m in the shower. But when I style my hair it looks greasy and sticky in some places. Even close to the roots. ( I have used the shampoo in combination with the conditioner). So I’m a bit confused with the result as it might be doing something good but it’s a bit heavy for my hair unfortunately.

Good, but not for oily scalp

As a lykoinflutester, I had the opportunity to test this shampoo as well as 3 other Redken products from the same series, thanks Lyko! 🤭 My hair is thin, long with an oily scalp, dry ends, and is colored (highlighted). I'm not a person who likes multiple steps in my hair routine. I usually do shampoo and conditioner, as well as a hair mask 1-2 times a week. I have some issues with my scalp, which is quite sensitive and starts to react/itch with many products (or after a certain period of use). The bottle is sleek and nice, but a bit hard to distinguish from the conditioner.. I wish it was just a little more obvious, but maybe it's just me thinking that way. The shampoo lathers really well, only a small amount is needed, therefore it's cost-effective. It smells a bit strange though, kind of more chemical in a way and not like other products in the series. The shampoo lathers really well anyway, the consistency is on the thicker side. It leaves no tight feeling when rinsing it out, but the hair feels quite soft, shiny but a bit too oily. After several uses, unfortunately, my hair started to itch a lot. Usually, I wash my hair every other day because it gets oily, but with this product, I felt that my hair was oily the very next day.. Otherwise, I think it's a good product, but it didn't suit me that well. #lykoinflutester #redken

    Super good shampoo

I have now had the honor of testing this series from Redken and thought this series was very good. I think this series strengthens the hair's barrier and gives a nice result when I have used the series. The packaging is very luxurious in appearance and you smell very good in the hair after using the products together. This shampoo is a deep cleansing shampoo, but it doesn't damage the hair. My hair also looks fresh for several days after washing. I wouldn't say, however, that the scent of the shampoo is really to my taste. The shampoo is concentrated, and you don't need much to cleanse the hair. #LYKOINFLUTESTER #REDKEN

    Cleanses and cares🤦🏽‍♀️

Now I have tested Redken Acidic bonding intensive pre-treatment, Shampoo, Conditioner, and leave in treatment. All from the same series for 20+ days, and here is my feedback. For someone who doesn't take care of their hair on a daily basis, this «treatment» was long overdue! With this series, I feel care from the first to the last step. After the first wash, I noticed a big difference. My hair feels smooth, cared for, and well taken care of. The scent of this series is also heavenly and reminds me of a trip to the hairdresser!! A bit strange to say, but after 20+ days of care, it seems like the whole series might be a bit much for someone with fine, thin, and straight hair. I use the shampoo 2 times in a row as I want to double cleanse my scalp from products and oil. The shampoo does the job without stripping my hair of moisture, but it seems like the rest of the series might be a bit too much for my thin hair. My scalp feels oily (something I really want to avoid), while the rest of my hair is smooth and soft. Very strange. I will use up the shampoo, but the rest of the series will have to wait until I really need a treatment. #LYKOINFLUTESTER #REDKEN

    Fantastic ⭐

I had the honor of testing this shampoo. And here comes my honest review! Very nice bottle when it comes to appearance. The shampoo smells absolutely wonderful. A pretty strong scent that lingers in the hair for several days afterward. Hard to explain the scent, but a bit on the strong yet still sweet/fresh side. Like a perfume 🌺 I've received several compliments about what smells good in my hair! This shampoo really has everything for my hair. I have blonde dry hair. This deep cleansing and moisturizing shampoo works really well. I always shampoo my hair twice. I've found my new favorite! Will buy this again and again ⭐ #LYKOINFLUTESTER #REDKEN

    Split

I’m a bit split on what I think about this product. There are, as always, both pros and cons🧐 I have typical Scandinavian hair, thin but with many hair strands, and I have a history of some bleaching. My hair often feels lifeless and very flat when I don’t use volumizing shampoo. After using this shampoo a few times, I can say that it makes my hair soft and not as frizzy as it can sometimes get with other shampoos. What makes me uncertain about this shampoo is that my scalp has become dry. I don’t know if it’s because of the shampoo or the weather/season, but it’s something that has come up during this period. The product gets a rating of 3/5 as it’s a good shampoo but may have possibly dried out my scalp✨ #REDKEN #LYKOINFLUTESTER

    So soft

I received 4 products from #REDKEN in their Acidic Bonding Concentrate series and tested them as a #LYKOINFLUTESTER. I tested the Pre Treatment, shampoo, conditioner, and leave-in. The packaging is fantastic and beautiful to look at, the only thing is that both the pre treatment and the conditioner were a bit hard to get out, so they have to stand upside down in the shower, not the end of the world really ^^ I was initially a bit skeptical about the series since I am very sensitive to AHA in skincare, but I haven't seen or felt anything from these and have been able to use them every time I wash my hair. The amount is just right and the creamy consistency lathers well in the hair. Every other hair wash, I used the pre treatment and on those occasions, I used shampoo once, otherwise twice. I think the hair also feels so soft and smooth when rinsing it out. I like the whole series as it has made my hair not look so damaged after a lot of bleaching at home, not as many split ends, and when the hair dries, it is divinely soft and looks healthier. They have a nice scent and the only thing I find a bit annoying is probably the Pre Treatment since it takes a bit longer than usual and is an extra step, but maybe I'll get used to it. Just pre treatment products are quite new for me ^^
