Dampens redness super effectively
I usually don't review products, but this time I have to do it. I have both seborrheic dermatitis (google it, it's hell on earth) and rosacea. This serum has, in just a few days, reduced almost ALL chronic redness in my face. I'm in shock!!! We'll see how lasting the effect is in the long run, but right now I'm completely ecstatic about the result. A new favorite in my evening routine 🌿✨
This has truly become a new favorite in my routine! 🤍 I have quite sensitive skin and get red easily, especially after washing my face, and I really feel that this helps to calm the skin and reduce redness. I use it in the evening after toner and for me, 2-3 drops are plenty. The texture is very light and absorbs nicely into the skin without feeling heavy or sticky. Despite the light feel, it gives a nice glow ✨ The skin feels calmer, hydrated, and just generally very nice afterwards. 🌿💚 A serum I always want close at hand!
I have really fallen for Beauty of Joseon Calming Serum Green Tea + Panthenol! This is the kind of serum I like to use when my skin feels a bit stressed, dry, or just needs something calm and simple. 🥹🤍 The first thing I like is the texture. It’s light and almost a bit watery, so it absorbs quickly into the skin without leaving any annoying sticky feeling. I usually take 2-3 drops after cleansing and toner and gently pat it in. What I appreciate the most is the feeling afterwards. The skin feels soft, hydrated, and calm, and I really like that the serum doesn’t feel like it’s sitting on top of the skin. It’s more like a pleasant moisture boost that makes the skin feel much nicer. ✨ I also like that it’s such a simple serum to add to the routine. It doesn’t compete with the rest of the products, and I can use it both morning and evening. For me, it’s perfect when I don’t want to deal with a bunch of different active products but just want to give my skin a little extra moisture and care. And I have to say that being fragrance-free is a big plus. I like when a serum that’s meant to feel soothing doesn’t need a strong scent to feel luxurious. 🌿 It contains among other things 76% green tea extract, mugwort, and panthenol, which fits very well with the soft and moisturizing feeling I get from it. I also think it’s the kind of product that feels extra lovely during colder periods when the skin tends to feel dry and unbalanced. Irritated skin!
I don’t know if I’ve just been unlucky, but as soon as I used the serum, I got irritated skin, more than usual. I bought the serum because I wanted something to soothe my skin, but that’s not really what happened. Instead, I woke up with red cheeks and a rash on my face. I’ve still tried the serum at different times and given it a fair chance, but got the same result, red cheeks. I do like the serum itself and it feels quite moisturizing. The texture is light and a bit oily, in my opinion. The serum absorbs quickly into the skin and doesn’t feel sticky either. I think it leaves the skin glowing. However, I feel you need to use a bit more serum for the face to feel properly moisturized. Because of that, the serum can run out faster. It also doesn’t have a scent. At least, I haven’t noticed any. The serum is also easy to use and I like that it has a dropper. The reason the serum gets a three is because I reacted to it when using it. I’m not sure why, but every time I used the serum, my skin became red and inflamed. It’s a shame because I really like the serum. But it is what it is.
