One of the few curling tools that has really worked on my "glass hair"! So many different curling irons I have tested over the years, and this is one of the few that really works on my thin, fine "glass hair". Of course, I have to prep my hair beforehand and spray properly afterward. (Links to the products I use!) To really test this, I curled my hair before a full day at work where I stand, walk, and pick items all day long. Judge my surprise when I still had curls left in the evening when I got home, especially after a little walk with a hat on! I can really recommend this to everyone, even to those of us who find hair a bit challenging! 💫 + The curls turn out super nice, and once you find the right "trick" on how to do it, it goes very quickly and smoothly! - The only negative is that it - for me - took a little while to get the right "trick" on how to use it, and that it is a bit heavy to hold. Halloween Celebration
Yesterday, we had a big Halloween celebration in our neighborhood, with a super nice organized Halloween round in three different "scariness levels" for big and small. There was food, activities, and a kiosk! My daughter decided last year that she and I would be Pennywise and Georgie from the movie IT, so we just had to start planning outfits! Test pilot via Smartson on "Bubbles only"
I had the opportunity to participate as a test pilot via Smartson and got to try this nail polish plus topcoat from Essie for free! 💖 I really love the color and consistency of the polish! The polish is relatively thick, which I prefer. The color feels luxurious and gives a lot of color right away. With 2 coats, it is completely opaque and really dark red; if you use one coat, it becomes more cerise in color but still pretty. The topcoat gives a fantastic shine and it looks almost salon-finished! I've received many compliments for both the gloss and the color of the polish. I've really put the polish to the test, partly at work where I unpack a lot of goods (I work in retail), so many boxes get ripped open every day. One week at work without gloves, so it wore off faster and lasted about a week. At most, it lasted 2 weeks, one of which was on vacation with a bit less wear on the nails. A small downside is that the nails became a bit discolored after removing the polish; they turned slightly orange. But if you use a base coat, that problem is solved!
