A really good everyday scent!
Had the great honor of being #testpilot for this lovely perfume, and since it’s a men’s fragrance, my partner has done most of the testing, but of course, I’ve also tried the scent on myself. Right from the first application, it was a very pleasant surprise! At the opening, it’s quite similar on me and my partner with a very fresh scent of citrus fruits and herbs. But when the scent settles, the change happens; on me, it settles very warmly and harmoniously and gives a bit of a spa feeling, which might be the clary sage that is very prominent on me. On my partner, however, it settles more masculinely with continued clear scents of citrus, lavender, and something smoky. A very pleasant perfume that is a perfect everyday scent, it definitely expresses itself but doesn’t take over the room, so I think it suits both the young guy and the dad equally well. Diesel Only The Brave test!
I had the opportunity to test this eau de parfum as a test pilot! I took my partner and our 15-year-old son to help, even our 11-year-old daughter got to join in and smell, but since I am such an incredible scent nerd and love trying new fragrances, I of course had to test it on myself too! My first impression was that the bottle (which is quite different from traditional perfume bottles as it is shaped like a fist) was quite wide and maybe a bit bulky for me to hold, but it worked better for the guys. But I still have to say it’s very cool and looks pretty bold! The scent immediately appealed to me! At first, you notice a fairly light, fresh, and citrusy scent, which then transitions into a warmer, deeper, almost slightly woody scent that feels more masculine and a bit sexy. The scent feels much more luxurious than I expected. On my skin, the scent became a bit sweeter than on the guys. The scent lasts long; I wore it all day in the garden with full sun and warmth. Only The Brave eau de parfum from Diesel opens like many other men's fragrances with a strong blast, but you have to let it sit a bit before you really get to experience the versatile scent that can suit most people, for most occasions. This will suit both the boss, the one going to a fancy dinner, and the one heading out to the city. It is fresh, spicy, and warm at the same time, and probably fits best for autumn and winter. It is a people pleaser, but with that little extra that makes it stand out and at the same time smells exclusive for its price range. A favorite for me and my boyfriend🥰
I was so lucky to get to test this fragrance as #lykotestpilot. So I chose to let my boyfriend try it. When we opened the package, the first thing I noticed was a feeling of masculinity. The bottle looks so cool and stands out from regular perfume bottles. At the first spray, the scent feels strong and deep, with a hint of citrus. The deep character gave us the impression of a more exclusive perfume. We were both really positively surprised at how pleasant the scent became after it had also been on the skin for a while. It developed in a woody and leathery direction, which also makes it a good choice for late summer and as we head into autumn. I would say it’s quite an "allrounder" perfume that works well both for everyday use and evenings🥰 My boyfriend has tested quite a few men's perfumes over the years, but this is one of his favorites, at least in the somewhat "more affordable" price range. Brutally honest review: The only Diesel I willingly wear ⛽
For the first time ever, I have been chosen to be a #lykotestpilot, and I feel honored by this assignment since I love perfumes and actually own quite a few by now. 😍 When I first heard I was going to test Diesel Only The Brave EdP, I thought: "Oh, Diesel. Then I guess it’s just time to book a service appointment." 🔧 But no.. This is not the diesel that makes the car go forward. This is diesel that makes YOU move forward with a confidence you don’t really have. And I have to say.. I get the name "Only The Brave." ⛽ The scent starts quite fresh with mandarin and lemon, giving that feeling of: "I’ve showered, I have my life together, and I pay my bills on time." Then coriander comes in and makes it a bit spicier and herbaceous. It becomes more like: "Maybe I don’t have my life together, but I have very strong opinions about which olive oil to use." After that, lavender and clary sage make the scent more aromatic and soft. It was around here I started walking around at home like I had a soundtrack. I opened the fridge with confidence. I closed a kitchen drawer with authority. I took out the trash like I was heading to an important board meeting. And the perfume hadn’t even fully settled yet. Because when it lands on the skin, the mocha comes out, and that’s where things happen. It gets warmer, softer, and has a slightly leathery feel. Then the gourmand sweetness arrives, and it’s almost like a leather jacket went on a date with a patisserie. And I’m not saying it should work.. but it does. What I like about it is that it doesn’t try to be some damn flower meadow or three citrus fruits in a spa. It has citrus, spice, herbs, lavender, mocha, and sweetness, and Diesel actually pulls it together into a scent that feels warm, masculine, and confident. For me, it’s primarily an evening scent, for dinner, dates, parties, or when you just need to go to the store to buy charcoal but suddenly feel ready to marinate the meat, light the grill, and take responsibility for the whole neighborhood’s dinner. 🔥 My critique is really two things. First: spray sparingly, because this one is pretty strong. The first time I thought, "I’ll take a few extra, just to be safe." That was a mistake. You don’t need to bathe in it. For me, two to three sprays are more than enough. You really don’t need to establish a new ecosystem. The second thing is that at times it gets a bit too masculine for my personal taste. It has more of a "men’s locker room after a gym session" vibe than what I usually look for in a perfume. And it’s absolutely not because it smells bad, quite the opposite. It’s just not the kind of masculinity I want to wear myself. I’d rather smell like someone who’s worked out.. not the person who owns the gym. 😂 My rating is 4 out of 5. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ A nice scent to have in your repertoire and bring out when the occasion calls for a little extra confidence. Only The Brave Eau de Parfum 50 ml
My first impression of the fragrance right after opening the package is masculinity. The color and shape of the bottle highlight the brand's masculine image. The scent is strong and deep at the first spray. It also has a citrusy note. The deep scent gives the impression of a more premium perfume and immediately reminds me of one of my first perfumes (Dior Fahrenheit), which I thought was too mature when I was younger. This time, however, the story is different. I was really positively surprised by how pleasantly the scent softens after being on the skin for a moment. The fragrance develops in a woody and leathery direction, making it a great choice for late summer and autumn. Over the years, I have tried a wide range of different fragrances that I use daily. I have also enjoyed using other scents from this brand, e.g., BAD and Fuel for Life. I like perfumes with a strong scent. This fragrance pleasantly surprised me. I would recommend it to men who have a “more mature” taste and to those who like perfumes with a deep scent. My boyfriend is 25 years old and quite the perfume enthusiast, so we were both curious about this one. The first thing we actually fell for was the bottle. Unlike others, we think the bottle has a fun detail – especially with the Diesel ring around the finger/bottle! My first reaction was “cool,” thanks to that little detail that stood out. When we finally tried the perfume, we immediately thought it smelled really good. It feels fresh but also has a bit more depth after it’s been on for a while. My boyfriend, however, thought it was pretty standard in its scent and not really anything super surprising for someone who has tried a lot of perfumes. I, as the girlfriend, don’t quite agree there. 😅 I’m pretty picky when it comes to men’s perfumes, and I actually think this one smells incredibly good. It’s definitely a scent I’d love to smell on my guy! I’d say this is a really good all-around perfume. It works without any problem for everyday use, but also if you’re going out in the evening. I especially think it suits younger guys who like fresh perfumes and maybe don’t want anything too heavy or sweet. Fresh everyday perfume
I got the opportunity to test this perfume here at Lyko. The Diesel perfume feels genuine and youthful, and the bottle is lovely to hold. It also fits well on my perfume shelf alongside Paco Rabanne and Jean Paul Gaultier, so it definitely doesn’t feel cheap. When I first sprayed it, I was met with a fresh, just-showered feeling. The opening is quite strong with clear citrus notes. After a while, the scent shifts to a lightly spicy character where I can sense coriander, and later it develops into a combination of leather and lavender. I would have liked the fresh citrus feeling to last a bit longer, as that’s the part I like best. The longevity is okay. After a few hours, the scent has faded quite a bit, but it’s still faintly present even at the end of the day. The spray is powerful and gives a fairly wide but moderate spread. At first, the scent doesn’t feel particularly unique, but the combination of lavender and leather gives it a more interesting character the longer it sits on the skin. I’ve tested the perfume during the summer, so I don’t yet know how it performs in colder seasons. I think it works very well after the gym and is excellent for work. It’s a safe, clean, and easy-to-wear scent that fits most occasions without taking over. Diesel Only The Brave EdP 50 ml - A Timeless Scent
I had the honor of testing Diesel Only The Brave EdP 50 ml, but it was my teenage sons and my husband who did the real test – and they went all in! The scent got to come along on a trip, and now the longevity was to be tested. The teenagers' first impression was that the scent was more masculine, that it was a “dad scent”; it smells more citrusy and woody. The husband's first impression was as expected – wow, it was good! A bit woody in the scent. (The husband already owns Diesel's Bad and OTB EdT) But then something happened with the scent. A few minutes passed and it slowly started to settle and become softer and sweeter in the scent, and the teenage sons started liking it more and more. Now the spraying really began!! And now to how the scent performs, how long does it last on the skin? Between 3-4 hours. Then it needs to be reapplied. It starts out strong, smells a lot at first but then settles very quickly. Unfortunately, it doesn't last very long on the skin and the top notes fade fast. And if I may say something, having worn OTB EdP nonstop now. This is a masculine woody scent that really changes character and becomes more modern, deep, herbal. You can also faintly sense some citrus that gives a fresh feeling. DIESEL ONLY THE BRAVE EAU DE PARFUM is a classic masculine scent. I would describe the first impression as a fresh, fresh breeze with hints of citrus and mild herbs. Diesel Only The Brave
I had the honor of testing Diesel Only The Brave, but since it’s a men’s fragrance, my husband had to do the testing. 😄 His (and mine!) absolute favorite is still Dolce & Gabbana Light Blue Sun (limited edition), so this scent was quite different from what he usually wears. It opens with a clearly spicy and woody feel. After a while, the leather notes come through, giving the fragrance a warm, masculine character. After a few hours on the skin, it becomes significantly softer and leans towards a fresh, almost slightly soapy vibe, which we both liked. This feels like a perfume that really comes into its own during autumn and winter thanks to the warm, woody tones. Despite that, it doesn’t become too heavy or overpowering, but stays pleasant all day. A good everyday perfume
The perfume gave a very good first impression. It suits both work and leisure activities. I think it can be used year-round. Short scent duration, clunky bottle
As #lykoinflutester I had the opportunity to test #diesel Only the brave Eau de parfum. At first, I thought I had tried this 15 years ago, but that was EdT and this is EdP which is new for this year. Scent notes are mandarin, citrus, suede, lavender, and spiciness. Normally, this arrangement suits me well, but I find that it pulls away and becomes a bit too sweet instead of spicy on me. The scent doesn't last all day, which is why I recommend it for the evening or a party. I don't feel that this EdP lasts longer than their EdT. The bottle. Well, what can I say? Big and clunky, fits poorly in the bathroom cabinet and absolutely not in a toiletry bag. The design is ridiculously silly and I don't think you'll find this bottle with anyone over 30 years old. The target group is probably younger men aged 15-30 who think the bottle looks cool. However, you get a good perfume in the bottle. The mist is quite splattery and it makes it easy to take a bit more than you intended. Only The Brave is a fresh citrus scent that works for many different occasions such as the gym, the store, and as an everyday scent. The reason it works for so many different occasions is because it is fresh without being too much and taking over an entire room. If you are new to perfumes and want to continue exploring the interest, then Only The Brave is a good start, a good beginning. As #lykoinflutester I had the opportunity to test #diesel Only the brave Eau de parfum. I want to start by sharing my thoughts on the bottle. "Looks great in the bathroom cabinet" without a doubt, but I have to say that it is probably the most impractical packaging I have ever come across. Nothing that easily fits in the toiletry bag directly, but for everyday use it looks perfect to have on. The scent is classically masculine and not directly special but still refreshing and appealing. The notes in the perfume include -Mandarin -Suede -Violet leaf, a fresh but warm classic men's fragrance. It doesn't give a wow feeling but smells absolutely far from bad. The mist is large but a bit splattery. The pump is a bit slow to press, and the shape of the bottle doesn't make it easier to use. The cap is quite narrow and a bit hard to grip since there are no shapes or structures on it.
