Perfect shade but a bit clunky packaging
With my super pale, dry skin with a cool undertone, it can be hard to find the right concealer! I only use concealer under my eyes, not daily, but when I don’t want to see my blue-black circles😢 I have the lightest shade LX 010, which is supposed to be neutral in tone, and I think it is! It blends nicely into the skin around the eyes - feels like it adapts pretty well to my cool skin tone. It also happens that I first use a so-called corrector that is a bit apricot in tone and then this one, and it gets even better (because the light apricot blurs out blue). The consistency is quite thick but still easy to handle. Feels like it has skin-caring ingredients😊. You only need a tiny bit, so it goes much less than what the applicator brings up, and that’s probably the only downside for me. For me, a much smaller packaging would have sufficed, but for those who use a lot and often, and maybe even have it instead of foundation, it’s probably just right. ✅ Incredibly economical. ✅ Fragrance-free and odorless. ✅ About 10 ml😱 ✅ Cruelty-free 🐇 ✅ Nice ingredients. ✅ Made in the USA. ❌ The price - but as I said, you get ENORMOUS value. ❌ Needs more light shades. ❌ A bit clunky packaging. Good coverage!
Considering how super light Rose Inc's Tinted Serum was, I was a bit shocked at how high coverage it actually was on this concealer. It does what it says; it's a medium coverage concealer that can be built up. I used the Tinted Serum, and then I applied concealer under my eyes, on my chin, and on my forehead where I needed a bit more coverage. Generally, I want something that blends in a bit more naturally (and don't get me wrong, the concealer looks good even in real life, but there was something about it that made it not quite feel like skin, but you could see that it was makeup). Then I have to give the product a bit of a pass; I had very dry and flaky skin during the period it was used. Even the best product could in these cases have laid "a little on the surface". Not my absolute favorite, but that's mainly because I prefer a tad less coverage. Simple concealer with good coverage
I have tested 4 products from Rose inc. over the last month. I haven't tried anything from this brand before and I'm very positive about what I've tested so far. Here come my reviews. For the other products, feel free to check out the respective product page 🌸 🖤 MY SKIN - Easily gets dry, which results in me becoming oily. - Easy to get pimples and clogged pores - Sensitive skin from time to time 🖤 PLUS - Blends out quickly and I don't feel like it settles into creases or anything - Covers very well! - Good longevity throughout the day 🖤 MINUS - A bit greasier consistency which has also given more coverage and in combination with the tinted serum, it hasn't worked so well together on my skin. 🖤 OVERALL IMPRESSIONS Very simple and nice concealer that has worked very well for me on its own. I usually don't use concealer on a daily basis, but I found this one to be a bit darker in color than the tinted serum I tested from the same brand, so when I've had self-tanner on, I've applied this concealer in different places on my face which has given a very nice coverage overall. In the pictures, I only have concealer and the blush from the same brand and I found that it has worked very well. Coverage and long-lasting
I think the consistency of this is a bit thicker than the concealers I'm used to, and quite a bit of product comes out at once. I therefore experienced that I had to "scrape" a bit off to not get so much at once. That said, it seems like the product is very long-lasting in use! The product can be built up and covers well. What was unfortunate for me was that I chose a color that was a bit too light, and it ended up looking almost a bit gray on me. Usually, I go one shade lighter on concealer compared to foundation, but here I would have probably chosen 020, which looks a bit warmer in color. I deduct a bit for it being an expensive concealer compared to others (good ones) I've tested, but as I said, I think this will last a long time. Covers like crazy!
The packaging is so pretty! The design reminds me a bit of Rare Beauty. I think the applicator was a bit too big, since the product is so thick and covering, you need much less than you get with it. For my first try, I used the applicator and applied it as I would with my other concealer. Part of the mistake is that I chose the wrong color (010) BUT it covered so well and there was way too much product that I looked like a porcelain doll. I like to use a slightly lighter shade to brighten up, but unfortunately it was way too light for me. But on my second attempt, I took a bit on my hand and then took a little at a time to build it up - it looked so much better compared to the first try. Still too light, but it still laid nicely on and I warmed it up a bit with a light bronzer over. I tried on a third attempt to put concealer on first and then their serum foundation… not recommended. It seemed like the foundation (serum form) pulled off some of the concealer, but it was okay in my case, but worth noting that it will reduce the coverage and you have to use a beauty blender to get it to lay nicely. I conclude that as long as you choose the right color unlike me, it’s super great if you need a concealer that covers well - dark circles, redness, and pimples. A bit too thick consistency
I have tested the Rose Inc Softlight Lominous hydrating Concealer LX 010. I use concealer every day, most often without foundation, so finding a good concealer is alpha omega for my makeup routine. My skin is Nordic, dry, and sensitive with tendencies to redness in the cheeks and perioral dermatitis. I am 34 years old and am starting to get a few fine lines in my face as well. I love the design of Rose Inc. Concealers come in a very sleek and elegant container. The applicator is also easy and practical to use. I care about good skincare, and that this has skincare ingredients is a big plus for me. Unfortunately, it disappoints a bit on the finish. It is very covering, much more covering than I like, so it is very economical to use and you need little product. But the consistency is a bit too thick for my taste and quickly becomes a bit too dry and patchy. The color was nice and neutral even though I could probably go for a darker shade. Great coverage!
As a #influtester, I had the honor of testing this concealer from Rose Inc. I have tried many concealers over the years, but this one really impressed me! The first thing I noticed was how creamy and light it felt on the skin, while still providing really good coverage. It hid both dark circles under my eyes and some stubborn red areas without feeling heavy or cakey. What I appreciated most was that it is buildable—I could apply a thin layer for a more natural look, but also build up the coverage where I needed more without it looking dry. Plus, it stayed in place all day without settling into fine lines. Easy to blend, good coverage
This concealer is both user-friendly and long-lasting. It has a good applicator that makes application easy and precise. The consistency is reminiscent of Tarte Shape Tape, with a matte finish and good coverage, but without feeling heavy. It doesn't look cakey at first, but after a long day, it can look a little cakey. It blends out easily, whether with fingers, a brush, or a sponge, and gives an even result regardless of the method. The price is a bit steep, but in my opinion, this is on par with Tarte, so the price is good. It's also long-lasting in use. The packaging feels luxurious and super pretty too. Great coverage and long-lasting 💖
✨ First impression Simple but cute design! 🤩 Impressed by the color range, but it feels like a big jump between the lightest and the next lightest? Easy to apply with the applicator, though you get a lot of product out, but it was easy to wipe off the excess against the tube. Lovely formula that blends out easily but still provides good coverage 👌🏻 I did notice that it wanted to settle into the creases under my eyes almost immediately 😔 I later learned that this was because I was using aaalldeles too much product, it took a couple of tries before we became friends 😅🙈 🧡 About me I have dry skin on the sensitive side, I am very fair and cool in my skin tone. I usually choose concealers that are moisturizing and give glow. I have been using eye cream since I was 18 due to dryness but also because I easily get dark under my eyes. For me, it is important that my concealer covers the darkness but especially that it doesn't cake. 🏵️ My thoughts and experiences It is so easy to work with and it goes quickly to achieve a nice and natural result when applying makeup. I apply a dot in the inner corner of my eye with the applicator, which I then blend out with a concealer brush 🖌️ It really has great coverage which is positive because it brightens up nicely under my eyes. BUT I feel like it doesn't fully marry with the skin. After a couple of hours when the rest of my makeup has faded a bit softly and nicely, this one stays put. That may sound good in theory, but it looks quite funny to have two bright rings around the eyes 🤣 It has also become a bit dry and crumbly. I have to blend it out with my fingers for it to look good. Regarding the packaging, it dispenses way too much product. Every time I close it, excess product is pushed out, so I have to wipe around the tube. Totally okay
I tested Rose Inc's Softlight Luminous Hydrating Concealer in the shade LX 080 (Medium Skin tone/ Pink Undertone), but I'm a bit unsure about what I think. It is still a big plus that there are so many different shades of the product; warm, cool, and neutral. 🎀DESIGN AND PACKAGING🎀 The design is sleek and exclusive, as most of Rose Inc's products are. The product has a typical lip gloss/concealer design, where the product is applied using a «brush» that is covered in product. The applicator is a good size, so you get a lot of product at once. This is somewhat unfavorable for direct application on smaller areas of the face, but an advantage if you need good coverage. I have applied the product on my hand so that I can adjust the amount of product applied to my face. 🎀CONSISTENCY AND EASE OF USE🎀 The product feels somewhat dry, despite being hydrating. Unfortunately, I find that the product is difficult to blend nicely into the skin, and it flakes more and more the more you blend. It is also difficult to build up the coverage of the product, as it clumps a lot the more product you apply. 🎀RESULT🎀 Unfortunately, the product lays very dry and clumpy on the skin, resulting in a patchy and unnatural finish. After a while, the product melts a bit more into the skin, but it leaves some lines and creases in the skin folds. This does not happen as often with my other concealers. It is also hard to assess how covering the product is, as it lays so unevenly. 🎀CONCLUSION🎀 Overall, I am not very excited about the product, as it has somewhat the opposite result of what the product description suggests. Unfortunately, I find that some concealers have a dry formula, and I use concealer quite rarely in my makeup routine. The product is perfectly fine, but not any better than other concealers I have used. NOTE: The product I bought was a bit too dark for me, as the colors are somewhat darker in reality than what the pictures suggest. Combination skin type with fine lines under the eyes. 🌸 the product: A concealer that brightens, evens out, and nourishes the skin. Minimizes the visibility of, for example, dark circles and lines. Long-lasting with medium coverage. 👍👎 Pros and cons: The advantages of this product are that it contains skincare ingredients in a makeup product. Light and creamy consistency. Relatively large brush head, which I prefer. The product neither cakes nor settles into fine lines. A pretty okay price for a concealer. Stays in place all day. Economical formula. The disadvantages are partly that the color was wrong, but that’s not the product’s fault. The packaging is quite bulky, which doesn’t have to be negative for everyone. I see no significant difference in that it has minimized fine lines/dark circles, and that’s what a concealer is for, therefore the rating is lowered.
