Old faithful friend for my abused hair!

💖 I got the product for free as a #LYKOINFLUTESTER. I got to test a series of skincare products from #REDKEN, whose products from different lines have contributed for many years to saving my heavily bleached hair. Acidic Bonding Shampoo is therefore not a new acquaintance for me, but a product I have used before and still use. I can't say if the shampoo does anything so fantastically better, but the crucial thing is that the shampoo really doesn't do anything worse. It cleans so well without causing any extra wear on the hair, which feels strengthened and soft. I'm never afraid that hair strands will break, not even right after a session with my 40 vol developer. Sometimes I slack off and just use shampoo and maybe conditioner, and at those times I always use Acidic Bonding, as it makes my hair feel and look good without a bunch of extra caring products. However, I can't use it more than once a week, otherwise my hair gets a bit heavy, but that's to be expected with both panthenol and dimethicone (which care, protect, and are good for most hair and have been demonized on incorrect/overdue grounds 🤔) high up in the ingredient list. Once I finally learned how often my hair needs the shampoo, the negative effect disappeared immediately. The shampoo lathers a lot with a little product, and doesn't dry out either my hair or my sensitive, often slightly red scalp. The scent is neutral/unisex and mild, and I find that it completely washes out during rinsing. The packaging is practical and designed to be stood up and down when the product starts to run out. The colors are a hit or miss, but I love both colorful and white and sleek, so I think this grayish minimalist design is super pretty. ⭐️ After both several years of use and this testing period, I can still warmly recommend Acidic Bonding shampoo to those with very damaged hair that doesn't get weighed down too easily. However, if you have extremely thin, fine, and flat hair, you should use it in moderation, or look for another product. But for me, this shampoo is perfect, and I will continue to buy it as long as I bleach my hair 🥰

    Shamefully bad

Shamefully bad I have thin bleached, fine hair that can easily feel and seem heavy. I also have thin hair strands, which makes it difficult to find a product that provides moisture but doesn't make it greasy. This is mild to say a disaster for my hair. After shampooing, my hair felt sticky, as if the product hadn't been rinsed out well enough, but it had. (girl, I promise...) The consistency is somewhat on the thicker side, with a luxurious scent that can feel heavy for many. On the first shampoo, it doesn't lather at all, (quite normal, as product residues are present) on the second it lathers very well, and the foam becomes thick and well distributed. I use about 1-2 teaspoons on my shoulder-length hair. After one day, my hair was so greasy that you would think I was back in puberty, only worse. It was shocking what had happened, I thought this was a coincidence, but it happened again the following day. Even dry shampoo gave up on my hair... After 1 week, I lost all hope and then gave the product to a friend. On her side, it was "fantastic!". The bottle is handy, as you can utilize 99% of all content by simply turning it upside down when you get close to the end. It comes with a flip-top lid, which is practical. Good to take with you on trips, as the bottle holds 300ml. Somewhat expensive shampoo, especially if you feel a bit "duped" if it crashes for you and your hair, on the other hand, I am glad I had the opportunity to test this for free :) This will probably suit you if you have a dry scalp, as well as bleached and chemically damaged/dry hair. Maybe it's gold for you! #LYKOINFLUTESTER #REDKEN #review

Hey Dina Thank you so much for a super and honest feedback! It's nice to hear about different experiences with a product, and it seems like you got something that wasn't a match for your hair. Glad you could pass it on, and that your friend liked it Wishing you a lovely pre-Christmas season 🎄

    Soft & shine

Redken Acidic Bonding Concentrate is a super good shampoo, it is moisturizing and feels like it makes the hair strands thicker and the hair feels clean. The product is not as economical as I feel the other products I have used from Redken are. And therefore it doesn't quite make it to the top. But if you want a good shampoo that provides moisture, cleanses, and gives volume, you should definitely try this! Definitely 9/10 #lykoinflutester #redken

Not quite a match for me

I have used up 1.5 bottles of this shampoo over the course of a year, so the product is quite economical. The price is therefore more than reasonable. It lathers well on the second shampooing round and my hair feels completely clean afterwards. The bottle is nice to turn upside down when it gets close to empty, but it doesn't tolerate falling on the ground - then the cap falls off :( Unfortunately, it’s not quite a match for me because my skin doesn’t tolerate the product. My hair feels nice and fresh, but over time I got large breakouts on my neck and back. I tried a lot of different things and have never experienced this before in my life, but it went away when I stopped using the product. I tried the product again now through #lykoinflutester and unfortunately experienced the same thing again. And yes, I wash myself well on both my back and neck after washing my hair. This time I used the shampoo and not the conditioner from the same series, so I’m quite sure it’s the one that’s the problem. For my hair, the product is good, I think, as long as you combine it with a good clarifying shampoo every other wash. The product is transparent, which makes it work well for fine hair, but I still find my hair gets a bit greasy quickly if I don’t use a clarifying shampoo. Looking at the ingredient list, you can understand why. Regardless, I think my hair feels fresh and stronger with less frizz after use, so I would say the shampoo is good if used as I mention - at least it’s necessary for me. I will not be buying the product again because I obviously react to something in it, but I know this is a big favorite for many, also for my hair, so I recommend trying it to see what you think yourself. #redken

    Good shampoo!

This shampoo gives a very good first impression. The hair feels clean and fresh after washing, without becoming dry, and the light, pleasant scent makes washing the hair a good experience. I also appreciate the packaging – it looks like a product that belongs in a hair salon. After using the shampoo along with the other products in the series, I notice that the hair gets a nice shine and looks healthy. At the same time, I wish for a bit more moisture, as the hair doesn't always feel as soft as I had hoped. All in all, this is a shampoo that does a good job of giving the hair a healthy and well-groomed look, but there are cheaper alternatives that provide at least as good results. #LYKOINFLUTESTER #REDKEN

    Nourishing Luxurious Shampoo

I have had the pleasure of testing this series of hair care products from Redken. It consists of four steps, and each product is reviewed separately. My hair is thick, long, naturally curly, and treated with color and highlights. It often gets frizzy and is hard to detangle, so I usually have my hair up for convenience. This shampoo strengthens and repairs damaged and treated hair. It protects hair color and prevents wear from heat tools. It promises softer and well-nourished hair that doesn't break as easily and balances the pH level. The recommendation is to use the shampoo together with intensive treatment, conditioner, and leave-in treatment from the same series for the best results. The packaging is plastic and feels both sturdy and luxurious. The consistency is quite thick and creamy. The shampoo smells very fresh with citrus notes and is easy to distribute in the hair. I often need a lot of product to cover my entire mane, but the shampoo is easy to apply and concentrated, so it quickly massages in. It is also very economical to use. When the shampoo is rinsed out, I apply the conditioner followed by the leave-in treatment. The first time I tested the product, I noticed a big difference as my hair became both soft, curlier, and very manageable. It also gives a nice shine that makes the hair feel both fresh and hydrated. My otherwise frizzy hair became super nice! After repeated treatments, my hair has continued to be well-nourished and has retained its softness and brought out my natural curls so that I hardly needed any other styling. The shampoo really makes a difference, and I am so happy and grateful that I got to test this series! Price-wise, it is completely okay considering the results and how easy it is to use. I can highly recommend the shampoo! Make sure to buy the whole series as it is also on promotion now! #Lykoinflutester #Redken

    Good shampoo🧽

I have been allowed to test this shampoo from Lyko for a few weeks, but this is not the first time I have tried this. I have bought this several times before and really like it! I have hair that is damaged, colored, and breaks easily. Therefore, this is perfect for me! Pros -makes hair soft -smells fresh and good -strengthens hair -helps with damaged/broken hair Cons -can make hair feel a bit heavy -if you have oily hair, I don't think this is the best for you I would absolutely recommend this and it is perfect together with the rest of the series!🧽 #LYKOINFLUTESTER #REDKEN

    Maybe a new favorite?

I was so lucky to receive the entire Bonding Concentrate series, with 4 products from Redken to test out as #LYKOINFLUTESTER ❤️ I have medium-length, thick, damaged, and colored hair that struggles a lot in the winter. So I was very excited about this series from Redken. I wash my hair 1-2 times a week and have been using this series for the last 4 weeks. This shampoo is step 2 in the series. And is used after the "pre-treatment". I always shampoo my hair 2 times to get it really clean, to remove all residues of old products in my hair. The scent is similar to the rest of the series, not the best scent of hair products I have tested, but not bad. The bottles and labels of this series are also absolutely gorgeous. I love that the bottles can easily stand on their heads to get as much product out as possible when they start to get empty. And that it doesn't have a screw cap! 👏🏻 The shampoo is very economical in use, as I do the same with this as with Olaplex's bonding shampoo. I take a coin-sized amount of shampoo in my hands and work the shampoo well into my hands until it turns completely white (to activate the ingredients) before I "comb" it through my hair with my fingers and massage it well into my scalp. Then it lathers well. For round 2, I do the same. Then you notice that it lathers even more because the hair is "cleaner" than it was in the first round. The shampoo is supposed to strengthen the hair, prevent colored hair from fading, tame frizzy hair, and make the hair shiny. I think the shampoo cleanses and washes hair and scalp well. I struggle a lot with a sensitive and dry scalp (especially in winter), and I find that my scalp is better since I started using this series 🤹‍♀️ And my hair feels clean for several days afterward. After the rest of the steps in the series, my hair feels super soft and healthy. And it is so shiny! 😍 I rarely use styling products in my hair, so I am very dependent on the products I use after washing my hair to care for my hair and provide a long-lasting result - since I only wash my hair 1-2 times a week. And I absolutely think this series does that. I can imagine that those with fine, thin hair might not like this series as it can weigh the hair down a bit, in terms of a lot of moisture for the hair. But for me with quite thick hair with coarse strands, this series is absolutely worth it in my eyes. It's hard to say if one of the products in the series is better than the others, as I have always used them together. But I really like the results they give - together. Not sure if you need all 4 steps. But in my experience, I would absolutely use all 4 together. I will continue to use these going forward. And if I am as satisfied with the results as I am now - when I run out - it will be a repurchase 🤩 #REDKEN

Strengthens, but doesn't protect my color

I have tested the entire series and used it according to the instructions. Therefore, it's hard to determine exactly which product does what, but it's a good combination! My hair: - medium length, medium thick strands - Dry and tends to get frizzy 😃 - Classically natural colored at the roots and gets bleached highlights/balayage 4-5 times a year For the past few months, I have also used some pink toning and color mask. The shampoo is applied after the pre-treatment. It's unclear in the instructions whether you “should”/can double shampoo, which I prefer otherwise. I feel that the shampoo pulls out my toning, even though it should protect the hair color. Additionally, my hair feels greasy faster than usual, but it feels softer and slightly less damaged after a few uses. The packaging is functional without being eye-catching, and the consistency is just the right amount of fluid for easy application. Plus points for the hair feeling stronger and softer, but minus points for how quickly it feels greasy again, and as mentioned, for the color fading faster. #redken #lykoinflutester

    So so

As #lykoinflutester I got the opportunity to try the #redken Acidic bonding series including the shampoo and conditioner. I have long curly hair that I wash 2 to 3 times a week and mostly blow dry or style with heat tools. So I have some damaged hair/ split ends. Packaging is nice and sleek. I like the halo on white design. Bottle looks good and has a good grip. The product has a mild scent. Very much like a salon shampoo but it’s not strong. I always shampoo twice and did the same with this one. What I experienced is that I feel it cleans my hair perfectly when I’m in the shower. But when I style my hair it looks greasy and sticky in some places. Even close to the roots. ( I have used the shampoo in combination with the conditioner). So I’m a bit confused with the result as it might be doing something good but it’s a bit heavy for my hair unfortunately.

    Good for damaged hair

I have tested this 4-step Acidic bonding concentrate series from Redken consisting of Shampoo, Conditioner, Intensive pre treatment, and Leave in treatment. I have typical Nordic quality hair, not particularly thick and relatively flat by nature. It is a bit worn from hair coloring and heat tools, but not very much. I have been testing this series for about 2 weeks now. The shampoo comes in an aesthetically pleasing bottle that is easy to get product out of, and you can get most of the container out when it starts to get empty. It smells absolutely lovely, I think, fresh and nice but not overly perfumed, and the scent doesn’t linger in the hair after use, which I appreciate as it can get a bit too many different scents when using multiple products. When used, it feels really good, it lathers well but doesn’t make the hair feel dry before conditioner. I feel that my hair gets clean, and I generally like the feel of the product. Unfortunately, my hair becomes very heavy and almost greasy from using these products, but it’s possible that my hair simply isn’t damaged enough to need such an intense series. I imagine this series is perfect for very bleached, damaged, and frizzy hair, as it makes the ends of my hair especially silky soft and gathered, but it’s a bit too much for my hair. I think the price is completely fair if this is a product one needs, and I would definitely test it if one needs to rebuild damaged hair. #lykoinflutester #redken
